More than that to me
Walk to a Bakery

I opened my eyes to the sun, only to close them again immediately, due to the suns brightness.
"Mmmm, morning love," I said sitting up rubbing my eyes.
"So I can make us breakfast, I'm pretty good at pancakes, or we can go out for coff-," I cut myself off looking to my left to find the other half of the bed empty.
"ee," I said finishing my sentence in surprise. I did notice a note on the pillow though. I read it quickly shaking my head, as I rose out of bed putting on a pair of dirty jeans and tee shirt, along with a pair of sneakers running out of my apartment to find Cassidy. I knew it was love at first sight last night and that we were meant to be together, but being the fool I am became nervous to go up and talk to her, so I thought a couple of drinks would calm my nerves, unfortunately I think we both had to many, and now all she thinks of me is a one night stand. I went out on the street with tears in my eyes as I looked around not seeing her anywhere, knowing I would probably never see her again, but I couldn't give up so easily, I would find her some how, I thought going back inside. I got dressed for work, a local small bakery, thinking of how I would find her. There was Twitter or Facebook, the only problem was, I didn't know her last name, and there were plenty of girls with the name Cassidy. I drove in my car, a yellow yugo, to work.

After taking a bus back to the club and getting my car, I finally made it back home, trying to figure out how to deal with this agonizing headache. At least it was Saturday, so I had the day off. I figured tea would help with the situation, since I had past hangovers and tea helped ease the pain, but I didn't have any at my house. So i knew I'd have to go out and get some, and since I didn't feel like going to a grocery store, I figured a nice coffee place would do, but the only place I was familiar with was where Keith and I met, and I sure as heck wasn't going back there again. i decided a walk around town wouldn't be so bad, since Holmes Chapel was quite small, I even took my journal with me. I used to write in my journal at the coffee shop I met Kieth at but stopped after a while, I figured if I got comfortable with a new place I could write there. I took a quick hot shower and got dressed and began walking to and through town. The weather was pretty decent, there was a lot of clouds but the sun shined through them only a bit, and the temperature felt about a soothing 71 degrees.

I came across a small bakery and decided that I should try it. I walked inside smelling fresh pastries and teas. I took a quick look on the menu while in the small line, that held about one person in front of me, when I felt eyes on me I looked to the register and saw a boy wearing a beanie that looked stunningly attractive on him, wait a sec..., I thought, that's the guy from last night, and he's staring right at me! I quickly looked back down and waited until it was my turn to order. A woman with the name tag that said Barbara greeted me.
"What would like dear?" She asked with a smile.
"I'll just take a small white tea to go please," I said smiling but looking down shyly.
"Is that all?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Okay, go on ahead to the register while I get that, Harry'l ring you up," I nodded my head and moved down the counter going left facing the person I'd never thought I'd see again.
"Hello," he said giving me a cute smile.
"hi," I responded in the tiniest voice that I could.
"Your total will be 2 euros," I pulled the money out of my bag while Barbara set the plastic cup of tea next to Harry. I gave him the money, grabbed the tea, and turned to leave.
"Have a nice day Cassidy," he called from behind me. Great! He just had to remember, well one things for sure, I won't be going back to that place again, I thought as I walked down the street. As i made it a few feet away from the bakery, I heard someone calling my name from behind me. I turned around and saw Harry jogging towards me.
"yes?"
"Hey you left so soon, I realized I didn't even get to have a chat with you."
"Right," I said furrowing my eyebrows slightly looking down.
"Hey so listen about last night,"
"Hey it's okay," I said shaking my head while having a sort of -it's-no-big-thing smile on my face with my eyebrows raised.
"I mean, we both had some drinks, stuff happened , it's normal okay? Everything's fine, I mean it was just one night."
"But I want it to be more than that," he said frowning a little.
"I mean last night when I first looked in your eyes and I felt something, it was powerful enough to where I know you felt it too." He said giving a warm and cheerful smile.
"I'm sorry Harry, I didn't," I muttered wile shaking my head and looking down.
"Well at least come back to the bakery again," He said with a warm and hopeful smile.
"I'm sorry Harry, but I don't think that's best," and with that I turned around and walked off, not wanting to see his face as i knew he was heartbroken, it's not that I wanted to hurt him, but I just got out of a relationship feeling enormous amounts of pain myself, I wouldn't be able to move on so soon. I continued walking as I took my first sip of the tea, which tasted perfect! It was very flavorful, well I think I might just start buying it at the store, although it was pretty cheap at the bakery, maybe I'll just become a regular, wait no! Are you crazy! That guy Harry works there! Yeah, but it was cheap..., I kept up this mental argument all the way home, until I reached the decision that I'd go back to the bakery one more time until I felt like going to the store, but it was definitely for tea and not Harry, no not Harry...
