The new Girl

I woke up to the dreadful sound of my alarm.
I wanted to turn over and go back to sleep but I couldn't.
I had to be different this time, I have to change, I cant be the girl who used to drink most nights and ditch school. I have to change. Not for my mum or anyone else, but for me.
I quickly got up and took a shower, Changing into one of my favourite outfits.
"Elena, Come on! You dont want to be late." Mum shouts from down stairs.
I grab my phone and run down stairs.
"I'm Ready" I smile and walk over to the door and out to the car. I spend most of my time in the car, texting my Tyler.
'Hey El, how are you hanging in there? x' He sends
'Okay, On my way to school. Mum thinks she needs to drive me, She can be so annoying.x'
'El, Give her a chance, shit better go, dinner time! x' He replies
Tyler was the only one for me when I went through my dark period in life. Drinking most nights, he was the one who helped me out of all that, kept me from getting involved with the wrong crowds, and for that hes my bestfriend.
When my mum pulled up into a parking lot, I looked up and the big building, the sign above the door read 'Oakwood High' So this is it, this is my new hell. I mean School. I got out and shut the door before saying anything to my mum I walked inside. I got a few stares, obviously I was different, im American Not English.
I followed the sigh to the office window,
"Hi Im Elena Martin, Im new. Im here to pick up my schedule?" I smile at the office lady.
She hands me a piece of paper, "Here you go and also here is your locker key, you are in locker 101." She smiles
"Thanks" I smile once again and walk off. I walk over to the row of lockers to try find mine. I occidentally walk into someone.
"Sorry" I smile and the girl I just walked into.
"Its okay, Im Charlie." She smiles
"Im Elena, Im new here" I reply
"Do you need any help finding your way around?" She asks
"Yeah that would be good, thanks" I smile
"What are you looking for?"
"My Locker, Number 101?" I ask
She smiles at me. "Thats right next to mine!"
I smile back at her and she walks over to my locker.
"There you go!" She says.
A pink haired girl walks over to us.
"Charlie!" She squeals "Are you going to the house party this weekend?!" She asks "I havent thought about it" Charlie replies and puts books into her locker
"Charlie! Its the biggest party of the year!" The pink haired girl replies
"I will think about it" Charlie Laughs, "Oh and this is Elena, shes new!" She smiles and turns to me.
"Hi" I smile.
"Hey! Im Elisabeth, but call me Liz." She smiles back at me
"Elena what class are you in first?" Charlie asks
"Chemistry, i think" I reply
"I'm in Chemistry!" Liz squeals. I laugh and smile at her.
"I can show you where it is!" Liz smiles. "Hold on, I better go get my books!" she laughs and runs down the hall to her Locker.
When the bell rings, Liz walks to chemistry with me and we take a seat at the back of the class, soon people flood into the room, a blonde girl walks up to be and stands by my desk.
"You're in my seat" She snaps.
"Theres a seat over there," I point to a seat at the front
"One, Thats my seat. Two, I dont like sitting at the front." She replies
"Im not moving" I laugh. everyone goes silent.
"Bitch, Get out my seat? who even are you?" She laughs at me
"Its not your seat anymore is it? and Im Elena, Im new here."
"Well Elena, If you know whats best for you, i would move." She scoffs.
"Am I supposed to be scared?" I laugh, by now everyone was staring. "Run along now" I smile
"Big mistake" She snaps and walks to the front.
Most people burst into 'ooh's then laughed.
