Niall's P.O.V

I didn't even realize that I had fallen asleep , but I did . For a whole 15 minutes right next to Harry who was also sleeping . It kind of reminded me of our year 10 of school when both of us would fall asleep in the middle of a lesson and when they would yell at us to wake up we'd just laugh .

"Harry ." I said kicking him slightly . "We fell asleep ."

"For how long ?" he said rubbing his face .

"A good 15 minutes ." I said getting up and stretching .

"Do you think they will let us see her now ?" he said before I started walking to the nurse .

"Excuse me , is Janette Montes allowed visitors right now ?"

"No ." she said coldly .

"Well when will she be able to get visitors ?"

"I don't know ."

"What do you mean you don't know ? Is this not your job ?" I said getting irritated .

"I have to go make copies now ." is all she said before leaving with her stupid clip board .

I noticed that on her desk she had a clip board with name tags and room numbers and right next to that she had a list of all the patients and rooms numbers .

"Harry ! Watch the door !" I yelled as I quickly pulled over both clip boards and wrote down mine and Harry's name on the name tags . Then I flipped through a bunch of papers until I found Janette's last name and her room number 222 . I filled both name tags out walked to Harry .

"Well are we able to see her ?" he asked .

"Nope ." I said slapping the name tag on his chest .

"Then where did you get these ?" he said as I replied with a smirk . "Awe you never change ." he said laughing .

We literally got lost a good five times before actually finding the right hallway to her room . We went in one big circle when all we had to do was go through some big doors then make a right and finally there was her room . Room 222

I was literally afraid of what she would say when she saw me . I didn't know how she would react . I didn't know if she would be upset that I came or that I picked up James , or even if she was remotely ready to see me . I didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable . So if she didn't want to see me then I would just have to accept that and leave , but not before telling her exactly how I felt .

"You ready ?" Harry asked with his hand on the door handle to her room .

"No ." I said half smiling .

Janette's P.O.V.

My head hurt . The room was spinning . I was nauseous , and I had something wrapped around my head . I didn't know where I was or what hospital this was ? This wasn't my normal hospital that I came to a couple months ago ? And I also didn't know where my mom was ? She usually never left me when I came to the hospital .

"Janette ?" I herd a male voice say as I tried to make my vision clear . "How are you doing ?" he said in an English accent . He had a beanie on and had tattoos and piercings on his lip , ears , and one on his eyebrow . He was followed by a blonde haired boy with the same amount of tattoos and the same exact amount of piercings .

"Hey kid ... I know you probably weren't expecting to see me .." the blonde one said .

"Umm no I didn't , I didn't expect to see either of you actually ... I'm sorry but who are you ?"

"What do you mean who am I ? I'm Niall .. look I know we broke up and left on rocky terms and even though we haven't seen each other doesn't mean you can just pretend to forget me Janette . For God's sakes , we have kids together ! "

"No we don't !! What are you saying ! I'm only 17 ! I wouldn't have kids ! I haven't even finished school ! And why are you talking like that !! " I yelled back afraid . I had no idea what this guy was even talking about !

"Janette , it's us .. Harry and Niall ? Why are you acting like this ?" the curly headed one said .

"Where am I ?! " I yelled .

"You're in the hospital !"

"Which one because MY hospital doesn't look like this and it definitely isn't full of creeps !"

"Congleton War Memorial Hospital !" Harry yelled back .

"Where the hell is that ! I go to St. Josephs ! Where' my mom !!? Mom !!! " I yelled at the top of my lungs .

"Janette calm down please !! " The blonde one said trying to hold my hand .

"Don't touch me !! Mom !! " I said slapping him .

Niall's P.O.V.

"Janette relax !" I said on the bridge of crying . I didn't know why she was acting like that and it was honestly scaring me . She looked like a crazy maniac screaming trying to take the i.v's off . And it hurt me so bad that she didn't even want me to touch her ...

The nurses immediately ran in to try and calm her down but it didn't work .. it made her even more scared . So she yelled louder for her mom that never came . Finally they medicated her , and there she laid , silent and asleep . I looked at Harry for answers who only looked at me for the same reasons but neither of us had an answer .

"What's wrong with her ?" I asked the doctor in charge .

"Wait I'm sorry who are you ?" he said a little confused .

"I'm Niall Horan , that is the mother of my kids . Now can you please tell me why she's acting so crazy saying she doesn't know me ?"

"Because she doesn't .. she can't remember anything that happened this past year and the year before ."

"Wait what are you saying , she lost her memory ?" Harry asked cautious .

"Yes that's exactly what I mean ."

"Well is it coming back ?" I asked .

"We are never certain , it can take minutes , hours , days , weeks , months , even years for it to come back . In most cases which are good , the person slowly starts picking up pieces of their memories slowly but surely . And in worst cases , they forget it all completely ."

"Well what does she remember ?"

"I'm not certain , we would have to wait for her to wake up and do some test on her and basically question her completely to see what she knows , what she thinks she knows , and what she remembers . "

"Ok ... thank you doctor ." I said shaking his hand before being escorted out by nurses and leaving her there .
