I remembered Niall said something about Harry living next to me , I just didn't know what house it was . I kind of just took a wild guess and went to the house next door to where my room was . I was really hoping that I would get the right house .

I knocked at least three times before a shirtless Harold opened the door and I kind of looked away .

"Oh hey Janette , I didn't know you knew where I lived ."

"Oh I'm sorry um Niall told me you were my neighbor . I'm sorry , I'll just come back later ."

"No , no don't be ridiculous . Come in ."

I walked inside and his house was very similar to mine but he's was ten times better in ways I can't explain .

"So what's up ?"

"What did you tell Niall that would make him kiss me and then ask me on a date ?"

"His eyes grew wide as he choked on his tea . Then he began to laugh to which I thought meant he was laughing at me . My face turned a bright red of embarrassment and my eyes were getting watery . It felt like my sophomore year all over again when my boyfriend broke up with me in front of everyone and he called me names .

"Why are you laughing at me ? Is it because I'm ugly or is it because he's just using me to make a joke out of it ?!"

"No Janette I'm not laughing at you . It's just a little hard to believe Niall would kiss you and let alone ask you on a date "

"What ever Harry "

As I turned to walk out I flipped my hair exposing the cuts on my wrist . He jerked up and took hold of my wrist and held on to it tight looking at my wrist not letting it go .

"Oh I'm sorry , did you want to keep all of or just my wrist so you can make fun of those too ?"

"Ok smart ass cut the shit . What ? Like why ? I cant even .. ? "

Harry enough !"

As I opened the door he slammed it shut .

"Just tell me ?!"

"Why !? So you can go and tell Niall ?!"

My eyes filling with tears . Realizing it was my first day and I was already crying to a boy . ... how pathetic ..

"I wouldn't do that Janette . Come here . " He said with opened arms indication for me to hug him .

he held my hand and brought me in tight to his chest . He lifted my face up while wiping my tears with his thumbs .

"I would never laugh at you Janette . And if you want to talk about it , I'm here for you . Whenever you're ready . Now why don't we go get you ready for your date because I know Niall's a lucky guy ."

SO I'm guessing I am going on this date ? I haven't been on a date since my last boyfriend . He was abusive and cocky . Maybe that's why I was nervous about Niall. besides I felt like I knew Niall . He was the typical ladies man . Smooth , charming ,confident and I knew he screwed around with girls until he's gets tired of them and throws them away like trash .

Harry and I walked back to my house and I saw a letter on the kitchen counter that I didn't notice was there when Niall was here .
It read :
Janette , I'm going to be home tomorrow around noonish , I know we just got here and I'm already leaving you . I left money on my dresser and you can borrow my car to go explore , be safe and in the house before 11 .
Love you , Mom .

Well so much for hanging out with my mom oh well . It was 6:00 exactly meaning I had two hours to get ready . Weirdly enough , I was so comfortable around Harry . He reminded me of my best friend Kevin I left back home .

I got in the shower while Harry was in my room looking through my stuff . I walked out in my towel and Harry just looked at me with an awkward face .

"I do have a towel and you can look at me ." I said laughing .

"So I called Niall . "

"You did what !? Why ?! "

"I ask him where you were going !? "

"And ? "

"It's a surprise ! "

"Oh my God Harold !"

I straightened my hair and put my eyeliner on and some lip gloss . I wore a floral dress with my converse and a cardigan . It was 7:45 now and I was starting to get nervous . I was walking down stairs to where Harry was waiting for me .

"Wow , you look really good , like amazingly good , like beautiful . "

"Why thank you Harold . "

"So are you ready ? "

"No but it's fine ."

"So what up the scars ?"

"Oh Lord , really ? Right before the date ?"

"Come on Janette , just tell me ."

"Ok , I first started cutting with my ex boyfriend Danny . I thought he was the love of my life you know . I gave in to sleeping with him for all the wrong reasons . And after , he just changed . He became abusive and intolerable . He was possessive . There wasn't one day where I wouldn't come home with a bruise . And then one day my I came home to my mom and dad arguing and I went upstairs thinking it was just another fight " I then started closing my eyes remembering every little detail and my eyes getting watery and I started crying . I couldn't help but remember my dad and just missing his hugs . . " out of no where I herd a gun shot and I ran downstairs to the guest bathroom to find my dad dead . He had committed suicide . "

Harry looked at me completely shocked and he ran to hug me . I couldn't help but just not want to leave Harry. I grew attached to him . I finally knew why , he reminded me of my dad .

Before he could speak the door bell rang . And I knew it was Niall .

I walked to the door and his eyes grew opened .

"Wow , um you look amazing . "

"Thank you . " I said smiling .

Harry then walked to the door and Niall looked a little surprised .

"Hey man , you take care of her alright . She's very special . And you are very lucky .. " Harry said .

"I will . Janette , you want to go ?"

"Yeah , ready as I'll ever be ." I said smiling .

He then held onto my hand and kissed my check I don't know why but I got really happy and then I got really excited . I got chills down my spine . And I knew maybe now my life can be different .
