FLASHBACK

September 10th, 2011

"Cutie 12 o'clock checking you out." My best friend Rosaline laughed and hit my arm. I took a quick glance and sure enough there was Harry Styles from One Direction smirking at me. "Hazel he's been checking you out all night, talk to him!" I shook my head and bit my lip. "

You know me and guys, I'll probably shout or spill my drink on him."

"I doubt that." A deep voice from behind spoke. My eyes went wide and so did Rosaline's. "I'm Harry." I turned around, me cheeks flaming red, and smiled back.

"I'm H-hazel. H-hazel Ellington." God he was gorgeous.

"Nice to meet you." I stared into his green eyes that were identical to mine.

"You too." I smiled even wider.

"I'm going to go to the bathroom." Rosaline skipped away while winning at me.

"So who do you know at this party?" He asked.

"Liam's friend, Andy."

"Oh yeah, he just wanted to throw this for us since What Makes You Beautiful is being released tomorrow."

"He's a nice lad for doing that. Congratulations." I nodded.

"Thank you. Having any fun?"

"Yeah, met a lot of new people." I smiled shyly.

"I did too." He winked. I blushed and looked away.

"Wow you are a flirt." I laughed nervously.

"Well you are beautiful." He said with a straight face. "Not trying to sound creepy but I've been watching you all night." He ran his fingers through his hair and let out a breath. "That did sound creepy, never mind I said anything!"

I let out another laugh at how awkward and embarrassed we both were. I suddenly felt a spark of confidence run through me. "I have to get home soon but how bout I give you my number and we'll see if we can meet again." He looked up with a beautiful light in his eyes.

"Yeah yeah, what is it?" He pulled out his phone and put my number in it.

"See you later Harry." I smiled and waved.

"Yes you will Hazel." He winked. I shook my head and smiled and went to find Rosaline.


"No way!" Rosaline yelled for the billionth time. "No way!" A billion and one.

"Yes Rosaline yes way!" I mocked as she drove to my house.

"Have you checked your phone?" "I actually haven't, it died, I will when I get home." I felt sort of anxious to see if he had texted or not.

"You two will fall in love, get married, have kids and grow old together!" I groaned in embarrassment.

"Stop Rosaline." I laughed.

"That will never happen."

"Never say never."

END OF FLASHBACK

I let out a deep breath and pulled myself out of bed. The house was empty like always. It smelled of new and unopened boxes. I padded downstairs to see if he was there. Even though he never was.

There was a note though.

'Went to Niall's to watch the game and hang out. -H'

I closed my eyes and crumpled up the piece of paper. I will not cry.

I don't know why he leaves notes, it's not like we'd do anything together today.

No x's or o's where ever left on them anymore. No smiley faces or hearts. Just 'H'.

I made some pancakes and a bowl of fruit and sat down on the couch in front of the large tv screen. I wanted to get a job that'd keep me preoccupied, I even had a degree in teaching, but Harry made sure that I'd never have to lift a finger.

I sat there in my pjs and looked around the house. Emptiness. I looked down at my ring finger. Emptiness.
