The next morning -Harry POV


After dropping Spencer off at her apartment, we went straight home. The guys tried to talk to me about everything that happened but I shut them all out. I didn’t want to talk to anyone. I got extremely drunk last night trying to forget about our fight.

I’m regretting that decision now but at the time it seemed appropriate.
We were on our way to an interview and the guys were being overly obnoxious this morning. I wanted to hurt all of them but I just pulled my hood up and tried to sleep.

“HAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRY! Are you even listening?” Louis poked my cheek.

“Fuck off.” I mumbled not even bothering to open my eyes.

“Mate, we’re all sorry that everything happened the way it did, but we’re still your friends. We want to help you feel better.” Liam told me.

“Yeah we do, have ya tried calling her?” Niall asked.

“Multiple times.” I answered still not opening my eyes. “I’ll be fine guys.”

“Harry, she’ll come around. Don’t worry, we can all tell how much you love each other.” Louis said

“I don’t love her.” I snapped leaning forward in my seat, reaching for my water bottle I filled with vodka and orange juice.

“Harry we know that’s not just orange juice.” Liam sighed.

“And what are you gonna do about it?” I said testing all of them. I don’t know why I was being such a dick to them, they were only trying to help. I shouldn’t be taking it out on them or Spencer, this is all my fault.

“Harry just try and be normal for this interview.” Zayn added.

Our car came to a stop and Jack let us know we could get out and head into the building. After going through hair and makeup, we were all sitting in a very bright room. I was sharing a couch with Zayn when a younger lady came in.

“Hello I’m Abbey, I’m with 98.2 New York News, I’m so glad we could set this up!” she said taking the chair across from us. Great she was a perky little thing. “Let’s get started shall we?”

“So you guys have been spending a lot of time here in the US, what’s it like living in New York City?”

“We have been having the time of our lives.” Zayn said.

“Yeah, it’s always so nice getting to experience new things, it’s been great so far.” Liam added.

I snorted, yeah okay great Liam. Jack shot me a glare and I quickly wiped the smirk off my face.

“So you guys have a new tour coming up, that’s why you’re here, promoting and such, with the busy schedules how do you manage to relax and have fun?” she asked next.

“We like to just hang out at our flat, rather than going out usually.” Liam said.

“Yeah, that’s why there hasn’t been much fuss about us being here, other than promoting. We’re keeping it low key.” Zayn said.

“They’re only saying that cause I’m the only one who can get into pubs here!” Louis laughed. “But no, we like to have time to relax at home and be ourselves.”

“You’ve been here for what? Almost 3 months now?” she asked.

“About 2 and a half, yeah.” Niall answered.

“I know you’ve been away from your family for tours and what not before, but how hard is it being here without the constant move from place to place for another show?”

“It’s definitely been harder this time round for us I think.” Niall started. “But it’s what’s best for me and da lads right now. We’ve been doin lots for da fans here in America, really hyping them up for da tour we got coming up.”

“Yeah, I mean it’s never easy not seeing your family for this long, but I think we’ve gotten used to it by now really.” Zayn added.

“It’s not like we never talk to them, we’re always on the phone or skyping with them. We keep them very close to heart while we’re gone.” Louis smiled.

“Now, not only are you away from family but girlfriends as well, right? Liam, Louis you’ve both recently talked about having girlfriends, how do you manage to maintain relationships in situations like this?”

“It’s not easy, but you have to be able to understand each other. Emily is always on the go like us, so it’s even crazier for us to keep what we have but we do it. It’s all about cherishing the small moments you get together when you actually have time to do that.” Louis was so proud when he talked about Emily, the dude had it hard.

“Yeah, I mean with Rach being from my hometown it’s as hard as being away from my family. I haven’t seen her since we moved out here but we do it, we make it work because we care about each other. Lou has the right idea, it is truly about the time you get with each other. The girls are planning to join us on some of the tour, so it’s going to get easier soon.” Liam had been dating Rachel for almost 3 years now. At this point I feel like there was nothing they couldn’t make it through.

“While these guys got relationships going on, seems like a little romance could be blossoming for you Harry?” she started, great. Good, just who I wanna talk about. “You’ve been seen out with the same girl a bunch of times in the past month, even so recent as last night. What’s happening there? Is there another taken member of One Direction?”

I picked up the bottle of my mix off the ground and took a long swig. “I would hardly say taken.”

“Well then what’s going on?” she pried.

I took another sip of my drink and looked Abbey directly in the eyes.

“I’m done tiptoeing around this whole bullshit world that’s my love life with the media. I’ve been ahhhh what would you call it, ‘dating’,” I air quoted, “this girl, we hit it off and it was going really well. But I’m an asshole and screwed things up. So no, another member of One Direction is not taken.”

I caught Zayn out of the corner of my eye pick up my bottle and set it on the opposite side of him so I couldn’t reach it. I glared at him but all he did was shrug.

“Soooo that means Niall, Zayn, you guys are single too?”

“Ya, totally so ladies, ya know where ta find me.” Niall laughed loudly, like only he could. Abbey looked over to Zayn.

“It gets lonely at times, but yeah still looking for that one.” He laughed with Niall.

“And what would a girl have to do to be lucky enough to snag the heart of a member of One Direction?” she raised an eyebrow.

I didn’t want to hear the guys talk about this, this is why I don’t date normal girls, this is why I date shallow, famous girls who don’t care about my fame. No attachments, just publicity.

“Just as long as she’s real and can laugh at my bad jokes, that’s all I’m asking for!” Niall joked.

“Yeah it’s going to take a real wild and silly one to put up with this bloke.” Louis laughed along with Niall.

“I’m definitely looking for a goofball ta have a good time with.” Niall added on.

Spencer was a goofball, she was my goofball. I couldn’t take it anymore. I abruptly stood up, snatched my bottle off of Zayn, and left the room. Jack chased after me as the guys and Abbey all sat there dumbfounded.

“AND WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU’RE GOING?” Jacks voice boomed throughout the empty hallway we entered.

“None of your damn business.” I snapped pushing the buttons on the elevator.

“Harry, I swear what you did in there is already bad enough. I don’t know how you managed to pull off drinking in an interview, let alone show up drunk, but you need to get your shit together and get back in there.”

“I’m done with this interview, I’m leaving. Sometimes there are more important things in my life than a fucking interview. I have feelings, I’m human, not your fucking One Direction boy band robot.”

“If you leave this building…” Jack started.

“You’ll what, fire me from the band? Yeah right, I’d love to see you try.” I yelled, entering the elevator pushing the button for the lobby. I’m Harry Styles, they can’t kick me out of the band, right?

Harry is going a little off the deep end. Hopefully Spencer gets it together and forgives him. We don't need a band issue.
