Looking For A New Tomorrow

Harry's POV

"Guys sorry, we gotta cut practice short, I gotta be there in time for dinner." I say to my boys.

My goal in life is to be a singer and songwriter. My mom doesn't agree, but it's my life and I will do whatever I want to do with it.

"Aw, going back home to mommy huh?" says Liam, smirking.

I just playfully role my eyes and head out.

Mia's POV

It's weird being back in a home again. Well I shouldn't even consider this a home. Just a spot that the government is forcing me and my brother to stay. If it weren't for my dead beat dad, I would have a stable home. And for my mother, well, life was lifted from her when was 10.

"Hey Mia, and you a vegetarian, or vegan?" Lana asks.

"Um, no. Why?" I ask

"Just making sure. We are for sure big time carnivores!" She laughs.

I just look away, and stare out the window. I really don't want to be here. But if it means to keep my brother happy, then I will.

"Mom, who is this?" asked a blond kid.

"Oh, Steven, this is Mia and Colton. They will be staying with us for awhile." says Lana.

The blond smiles at me and gestures to shake my hand. I lift my arm up to shake it, and he smiled.
"Nice to meet you." he says.

I smile and look away. I notice that a car pulls into the drive way, man how many people live in this house? A tall, somewhat skinny guy walks out. I notice that he has a mop of curls. I smile, anticipating what he looks like. I hear the key jiggling at the lock, and he comes in. When he appears around the corner, I'm shocked. His green eyes strike me, like a bow and arrow. I've never someone so perfect.

"Hey Lana, Kasey." he says, walking towards the fridge.

"Well Harry aren't you going to introduce yourself, Harry we have two new guests." says Kasey.

He turns around and he looks at me. My heart nearly sinks. He smiles and waves. I wave back memorized by him.

"Your name? I'm Harry." He says, smiling.

"Um, um, huh, I'm... Uh... Mia. Mia Burtch." I say, hesitantly.

He smiles at me, and walks back to the fridge. I feel my cheeks getting hot. Did I seriously just embarrass myself?

Kasey's POV

Ugh, I mean seriously? Mia. Oh Mia. This girl has gone way to far. And she has only been here for an hour. She has the hots for Harry. He isn't technically my brother by blood, but we grew up together, and I consider him apart of my protection. She's going to get it.

"So Mia, why were you in jail?" I ask, out of the blue.

She looks up at me, shocked, so does Harry.

"Kasey! Stop it now. You brat." says Steven.

"Oh please, it's a valid question. Now Mia, answer the question."

She looked up at me again, with sadness filling her eyes. Does she really think that I'm going to feel pity for her?

"My foster father... Um... Tried to hurt me, and I defended myself. That's all." She says.

"Yeah, sure. Your poor foster father." I say, with a smirk.

Tears filled her eyes, and she ran out the door. People gave me the 'what the hell were you thinking stare' but I don't really care. I don't want a fugitive in my house. Sorry.

"For goodness sake Kasey, apologize." says Harry.

"Um yeah, I think she'll survive. Now mom, what else do you want me to do next with dinner?" I ask.

Mia's POV

"Colton I don't want to be here." I say.

He puts his hands on my shoulders, and looks up at me.

"Come on, Mia. This is the first real family we have had... since... Mom." He says.

"Oh Colton, get your head out the clouds. They don't want us." I say.

"Guys dinner is ready!" calls Lana.

I hug my brother tight, and brace myself for dinner with the Fosters.
