Looking For A New Tomorrow

Lana's POV
I stepped into the room not knowing what to expect. Yes, I've adopted before, but not a "criminal." Jen doesn't know that I am doing this, but I feel obligated to help out this girl. So I'm going to take her under my wing. I finally push the door open, and I see a girl in a blue jumpsuit looking down on the floor. I sat down next to her, and she looked up.

"Hello, you must be Mia." I say, smiling.

She just nods her head, and looks back down at the ground.

Mia's POV
I don't want to do this again. I can't. Another Foster home. Why couldn't the lord just plan out a better life for me? Isn't that what he is supposed to do?

"Um, so we are able to get your brother as well." she says.

"Why are you helping me?" I ask, finally looking at her,

"Well I read your record, and I want to provide you a stable home."

Bullshit. I think In my mind. The only reason she wants me is so she can get a check from the state.

"Is my brother ok?" I ask, looking up at her.

"Yes. I was going to pick him up from the home after I was done with you." she says.

"Ok. I'll come."

*At School*

Harry's POV
"So, you wanna come to my house tonight babe? My parents are out of town all this weekend." said Lucille, smirking up at me.

Lucille and I have been dating for two years. It's nice. But I don't really see her being the "one". Ever since we have had sex, she has been super clingy to me. I actually find it to be ultimately annoying.

"I can't baby. I got practice with my band." I say.

"Aww, ok. How about Saturday? Sunday?"

"Babe we can't screw on gods day." I say, laughing.

She laughs back and leans up to kiss me. I kiss back, and put my hands on her hips. Once I hear the bell for next period ring, I release.

"See you at lunch." I say, kissing her forehead.
Kasey's POV

"Monica, what's the plan for tonight?" I ask, as we walk to class.

"Well, there is a party at Luke's, and do you have my pills?" she asks

"Of course I do, here."

Long story short, I'm selling my brothers pills. He has ADD, so he takes pills to help him concentrate. So of course I would steal them, being in advanced classes isn't easy. I also sell them to kids. Hopefully I don't get caught.

"So, how's Kailand?" asks Monica.

"Seriously, you better not love my brother, your my bestfriend!" I say.

"Oh come on, he's so cute."

I roll my eyes, and sit in my chemistry class.

*3 hours later at home, still Kasey's POV*
We sat down to complete our homework, and we saw Lana's car pull up.

"Who are those two kids?" asks Kailand.

"I have no idea."

Lana walks in, and two kids follow behind her. The girl has a busted lip, and a bruise on her cheek. She's pretty though. It actually makes me kind of jealous. She has pretty brown hair and eyes. The little boy has a face loaded with freckles, and curly brown hair. They must be siblings. But why are they here?

"Hey guys!" Lana says, giving us hugs.

"Hey, and um who are they?" I ask.

"Don't be rude. This is Mia and Colton. They are going to be staying with us for awhile." she says.
Seriously. There is no room for these people.

"Mom, there isn't any room for these people." I say, frustrated.

"Kasey, it's fine."

The girl, Mia, sits down and looks around. I go back to my chair, and try to complete my homework. I just can't help but stare at her.

"So Mia, how old are you?" I ask.

She looks up at me, before she answers.

"Um I'm 16." she says, fiddling with her hair.

"Why do you have a busted lip?" I asked.

"Why is it any of your god damn business?" she snaps.

"Ok girls that's enough. Kasey come help me with dinner." says Lana.

I get up and glare at her. Gosh why is she so rude? I just asked her a simple question.
