Looking For A New Tomorrow
Chapter 1
Mia's POV
I've been in jail for 6 months now. Lets just say things with my last foster father didn't go too well. I actually don't feel bad for what I did. He deserved it. But I'm so selfish. I left my little brother behind. I'm the only mother that he has ever had. Hopefully he's ok. Sometimes I wonder what I want to do with my life. I'm not smart at al, so college is not a option. I want to prove to people that I'm not a bad person, but I'm Mia.
*Across Town, The Foster Family preparing for school and work*
Harry's POV
"Harry! Come on breakfast is ready!" called Lana.
I ran downstairs, and sat at the table. Sometimes I look at my family and wonder how did God (if there is a God) create this madness. I mean, believe me, it isn't bad, but it isn't... normal. My mother left my father, Bill, and is now a lesbian. It doesn't really bother me... it just isn't normal. Then Lana (the woman who my mother is dating) adopted twins named Kailand and Kasey, who's mother was a crack head and gave them up. Then there is Steven, who mostly keeps to himself. Then there is me. Harry. So yeah like I said. My family isn't normal.
"So Harry, how are you and Lucille?" asked Lana, handing me my plate.
"Just fine." I say
"So have you fucked her yet?" asked Kailand, smirking.
I felt my face turn red. My mother, Jen, stared at me in shock. Oh well I guess.
"Well I hope you at least used protection." she says.
Now breakfast becomes awkward. It takes awhile for some conversation to start.
"Well you guy better get going." says Lana.
We all get our things, to start our day.
*At the Juvenile Detention Center*
Mia's POV
" I don't want to go to another foster home." I say to my lawyer
"Look, Mia, do you want to stay here for the rest of your high school career? I was able to get a deal for you. Lana and Jen are sweet women." he says.
"Wait, there lesbians?" I ask.
"Well... um... yes." he says.
"Oh my gosh." I say, rolling my eyes.
"Look I know you have been through a lot, but I think you should give them a chance. They have adopted other foster kids as well." he says.
I just nod my head. I honestly don't know if I want to give these people a chance. I've been through hell in the past five years. Why should I even try?
"Ok. well I will bring her in." my lawyer says.
I watch him walkout and I sit there, to meet the "dike".
