Munchkin. (5th Chapter)
…At Night…

Melody’s POV:

My dad called me earlier, asking if he should wait for me to have our dinner together. I confirmed that, and made sure to stop my shopping for today. I feel like I won, in some sort of way. And shopping is my reward of the little battle between Harry and I. I couldn’t stop smiling all day at the avenue, but I still felt morally bad. Once I arrived back home, I handed my bags to Albert, to place them for me in my room.
My dad and I enjoy our dinner while we discuss my summer plans. “Mellie, I am holding a White Reception Party tomorrow at night, and I expect you to make an appearance.” I groan like a four year-old, and my dad chuckles at me action. “I know you hate being around my friends, but I need to show you off. (I smile as he continues.) I expect you to look your finest tomorrow munchkin, alright?” I giggle at my dad’s treatment.
He amazes me that he never changed his way of talking to me. I recall perfectly that he used to call me things like munchkin, when I was six years old. It makes me happy that he still treats me with his innocent care and love.“Alright dad, I promise. Do I have to wear white though?” He shakes his head and laughs lightly. “It’s called a white party for a reason, honey. “ I scoff playfully, as we finish off our dinner, and we exchange our good nights.
…The Next Morning …
The party planner has been here with the entire crew, since the crack of sunset. My dad has left to work, giving Albert the charge of keeping an eye on them. Since the garden area is finished from remodeling for the party, I decide that its better for me to take a sun bath, since I can’t sit in any position internally, well except for my room but it’s boring here. I change my clothes and walk outside, and I smile to myself at the sound of birds’ squeaking.
I set my biggest towel on the beach couch, and lie down. Sliding my headsets on, I breathe out calmly and close my eyes under my sunglasses (http://www.polyvore.com/dipping_gold/set?id=112645396&lid=3328693). I dive in the lyrics world of the songs being played on my phone, and enjoy my track list in harmony. Sadly, voices of laughter appear in my ear sight, and they start to annoy me. None of the laughter tones are familiar, so I debate whether I should open my eyes or not. I open my eyes, and gasp at what I see.
Three guys, that have a similar wardrobe to Harry, stand upon each other, across of where I am. They laugh with Harry, and they seem to not notice my existence. Who told him he could have friends over? Mean gun, reloaded and ready to fire. I slide my earpieces off, and stand up to march where they all stand. My wedges are comfortable, but still they are high heels. I place one hand on my hip, and sigh loudly behind them.
The four guys look at me, and I am amazed that his friends are good looking just like him. Hold it, did I admit he’s good looking? Never mind! “Who told you its possible to have friends over?” I tap my left heel on the ground, emphasizing an annoyed persona. Harry’s eyes make sure not to stop scanning me, especially that I am in my bathing suit. His throat releases a funny noise, but he forces himself to regain his focus.
“(He clears his throat, and talks) I didn’t um… know that I wasn’t allowed to do that. (He shits his eyes at his friends) Mates, I believe you should leave. I told you it’s a bad idea to show up here.” He sounds sad, even though I shouldn’t care about his feelings. I sigh, and decide to be humane about this. “They can stay, but just today since I’m making an exception. (He genuinely smiles, and it makes me smile at him as well) Aren’t you going to introduce me, Harry?” His face expresses appreciation and shock, but he nods his head calmly.
