I Would Rather. (14th Chapter)

Melody's POV:

“Is this your bird, mate?” Zayn asks, and I blush at the title. “Heck no!” I don’t know why, but Harry’s quick denial made me a little sad. “Well if that’s the case, I’ll be having a great time tonight.” I gulp at the remark said, and my eyes go wide when he ruffles his black hair. “No you won’t. (He drags my hand) Come on.” I walk with Harry, as Niall and Zayn follow. Once we are all seated, the drinking session initiates. Everyone is laughing and joking around, while I stay silent and force myself to take some sips from the green bottle. I squint my eyes at the taste of beer, and Harry notices my silent reaction. “(He leans down and whispers in concern.) You don’t have to drink it if u don’t want it.” I sigh in appreciation, and place it on the coffee table.
“So! This is getting lame, how about we do something all together?” Liam suggests and the majority nods. “Twenty questions, truth or dare, or I would rather?” I have no Idea what he asked, but I guess these are options? “Babe I really want to play I would rather.” The girl beside Liam purrs, and he nods with the rest in agreement. So it’s a game? Hmm, interesting. “We can leave whenever you want alright?” Harry suggests, but not harshly; its more of a worried matter. “Lighten up, Styles. I’m sure your bird will enjoy the game!” Zayn laughs, and then stares at me in what seems like a seductive glance.
“Put a sock in it, Malik. I’m serious.” Harry warns Zayn in a deathful vocal, but the rest laugh from their drunken state of mind. “Shut up both of you, and lets start. I’ll go first. Niall, would you rather… Sleep with a stranger or shag a far-distant relative?” Louis asks Niall, and I cough out of nervousness. What on earth are these questions? Is this how the game is played!? “Definitely a stranger.” Niall speaks, and Louis replies: “Fair enough.” I hope I won’t get asked anytime soon, because I don’t find this appropriate. But then again, I said that I will lighten up, so I guess this game is a challenge for me.
“I want to ask now. (He stares at me in a dark look, then smirks) Melody, would you rather sleep with a guy on a first date, or on the second? Zayn’s question is unpredictable, and I don’t think I could do that on the first or second date! Harry fires his eyes at Zayn in silence, but he waits with the rest for my answer. “I don’t really see myself in either situations, I guess none of the choices.” Zayn immediately replies: “You’re a virgin aren’t you?” Once those words slide out of Zayn’s mouth, Harry jumps from his seat and grabs Zayn’s collar in flaming anger. “YOU JUST DON’T UNDERSTAND WHEN TO CLOSE THAT HELL HOLE OF A MOUTH YOU GOT!” Zayn laughs, even though there isn’t anything funny from Harry’s threats or actions. “I guess you’re disappointed that you aren’t going to bang her soon, huh?”
Zayn must have pushed Harry’s explosion button, because he’s now lying on the floor with Harry on top of him. I feel like a microscopic bacterium in this scene, as Harry’s punches don’t stop from lunging Zayn’s face. The rest of the boys shift Harry’s body off of Zayn, and I tear in silence. Harry tries to reach for Zayn again, but Liam holds him in a forceful position. As Louis takes Zayn to the kitchen, the atmosphere quiets down. Not for long though, Harry pushes Liam’s grip off of him and yanks my hand to the outside.
I don’t fight his touch away, but I stream my tears in a muted tone. He stops when we reach to his bike, and looks at me. His speedy breathing slows, once he notices my red eyes and salty streams of tears. I turn numb when he drags me closer to his chest, and embraces me in pure sincerity. I cry with a whimpering voice, but he keeps on racking me in silence. I know Harry is caring, but I never expected this to happen at all.
