Just Another Mistake ~Sequel to Falling

Oh my god. I can't believe I'm going to see them again. "Wait." Alec whispered as Edward reached for the door. He stopped and turned to Alec questioningly. Alec reached in his duffel bag and pulled out the most beautiful cloak I've ever seen. It was a dark blue velvet with sapphire gems outlining the cloak. There were little rubies and fire gems beside the sapphires. When you move it, it looks as if the cloak was slightly on fire. Like it's glowing. "Aro gave this to me, to give to you. He said it's to remember them. And even though you are a Cullen, you're still part of the Volturi and we wear cloaks." he explained, handing it to me. I took the cloak and felt the soft material between my fingers. "But all of your cloaks are black and red and creepy yet cool looking. How come mine is blue and just completely beautiful? It's like one of those cloaks you see on TV in a royal place." I said feeling weird as I insulted them and complimented them at the same time. "Well first, only you can insult and compliment someone at the same time Ari. And second, Aro said that your cloak should be one of a kind. Like you are. He had it made especially for you." Alec explained. Aww. Aro said I'm one of a kind. I smiled and wrapped the cloak around me but I had difficulty fastening the clip thingy. Suddenly two hand pushed mine aside and fastened it without difficulty. Apparently you have to put pressure on it and lock it. Well then that's embarrassing. I looked up and saw Alec's red eyes. I remember him telling me once that he used to have blue eyes. I imagined that on him and smiled. He'd look really cute with blue eyes. A cough brought us back to reality. We turned and saw Edward glaring at Alec. "Can we go now?" he hissed. "Sure. Geez someone's on their period." I muttered. The group snickered except for Edward who switched his glare on me but I saw amusement in them so I knew I wasn't in trouble. But I knew fun time was over when Edward turned his back on us to open the door. I felt like my heart was about to burst as Edward slowly turned the door knob. He opened the door and I panicked and hid behind Alec and Jane. I could almost feel Alec rolling his eyes. Okay I know I probably look ridiculous crouching behind to vampires but I'm honestly terrified. I don't want to face them and see their hatred, disappointment and digust. "Edward! Alice!" I heard Emmett yell. I peeked from Alec's shoulder and saw all of them hugging. I smirked in satisfaction as I saw Bella standing there awkwardly. No one noticed the Volturi yet and I'm quite thankful. "Listen Bella. I'm sorry." Rosalie said grudgingly but I could hear the repulsion in her voice. "Thank you for saving my idiotic brother." "Um. Your welcome." Bella replied. What? She didn't save Edward, I did. She was just standing there while Jane was torturing him. I'm the one who saved them. "Bella I-" Esme stopped immediately and I ducked down. I guess they finally noticed Jane and Alec. Hopefully not me. Edward spoke before they could fire questions at him. "Jane and Alec are here to guard Bella to make sure she doesn't tell anyone. That was the only way we could leave safely." Edward explained. "Hello Cullen family." Alec and Jane spoke at the same time. Alec said it in monotone. Jane said it with a sneer in her voice. "So they'll be staying with us?" Rosalie growled. "Yes. But their not the only one here." Edward replied. I could hear the smile in his voice and I felt like my heart could come alive again. "What do you mean? There's more of them?" Emmett asked incredulously. "Yes Emmett there's more. But just. One more." Edward replied. I could imagine him rolling his eyes at Emmett's behaviour. "And I think you'd be pleased with this other one." "What? I'd never be happy to see a member of the Volturi." he growled. I cringed. That was part of the reason why I was afraid to see them. I knew the Cullens didn't really like the Volturi very much. Well all vampires don't really like the Volturi. "Careful what you say Em. You might have to eat your words." Edward replied cooly. Then I suddenly felt exposed. I looked up and met the gazes of my family. Crap. I looked to my right and saw Jane and Alex smirking. I mouthed not so nice words to them. I turned my head towards my family and opened my mouth to explain. But I didn't get the chance to because I was suddenly crushed in a group hug. Oh my god. I didn't know vampires could feel suffocated. But I feel suffocated right now. My face was crushed against Emmett's hard chest. "G-guys. D-y...ing...he..re." I choked out. They all immediately let go chuckling. "Arianna! I can't believe its you! I missed you so much." Emmett said, his voice thick with emotion. I could actuallu see tears brim his eyes. Tears that was dying to fall but couldn't. "Aw. Emmett. I missed you so much too." I said. "Ari. We have so much to talk about. I can't believe you just left us like that!" Rosalie yelled. The look on her face was filled with mixed emotions. Happy, angry, relieved and one that stood out the most, murderous. Uh oh. I'm so dead. "Ari why did you go?" Carlisle asked sadly. I stared at the ground feeling embarrassed and ashamed. I can't exactly go like 'Oh I saw my boyfriend, well ex boyfriend having sex with another girl. And I hate that Bella is here because I'm in love with your son Edward.' Yeah doubt he'd take that too well. After all they do favour Bella. "Uh how about we go inside and get settled in. Then we can all talk once everyone has calmed down." Edward spoke. Okay. I didn't know I could love Edward more but I was wrong. I just wanted to run up to him and hug him right now. Only that would be really weird. "Alright. We'll be in the living room." Carlisle said, going inside. Rosalie started to protest but the look on Carlisle's face stopped her. "Fine." She grumbled, walking inside. We all followed but they went to the living room while the five of us flashed upstairs. Alice joined Jasper and the rest of the family. Then a thought occurred to me. My room is also Edward's room. Am I still welcomed there? Seeing the troubled look on my face, Edward spoke up as we all stood in the hallway awkwardly. "You're still in the same room Ari." "Oh okay thanks. Uh where will Jane and Alec go?" I asked hesitantly. "The guest room." Edward replied in a -isn't it obvious- tone. What? We have a guest room. "Come on I'll show you two to your room since Ari here didn't even know we had a guest room." He rolled his eyes then ran to the door beside Edward's/My room. "Here you go." He said, opening the door. Oh. I feel so stupid now. I thought that room was some kind of educational room or something. That's why I never went in it. I wondered why Edward was being so nice to them. He hated the Volturi. He seems to hate Alec more which I don't understand why. Alec is probably the sweetest out of everyone in the Volturi. "Thank you." Alec replied quietly, while Jane just walked in without a glance at Edward. How can twins be so different yet so similar? "Alright you guys should get settled in first and if I'm not done by the end you guys at, then just come in. I'm right next door." I said smiling. I don't know why but I felt happy all of a sudden. Maybe it was the fact that I'm back with my family again no they don't hate me. Or maybe it was just because I'm going to be alone in a room with Edward. Wait. Right the bitch. Ugh she ruins everything. I entered my room and felt so peaceful and happy. I collapsed on the couch sighing with happiness. Ahh I missed this couch. I closed my eyes and just enjoyed the softness of it. And I may or may not have sniffed it because Edward's scent was so strong. Then I heard a chuckle which pulled me out of dreamland. "What are you doing?" I opened my eyes and glared at Edward. "I was in happy land and you just ruined it." I huffed. I sat up and looked around the room. Everything was exactly the same like how I remembered it. Then an object caught my eye. It was a very important object. An object I didn't get to take because if my hurry and distress. "Snuffles! Hedwig!" I yelled like a child. I jumped up and ran to the corner shelf where Edward keeps his most treasured stuff and grabbed the stuffed animals. I hugged them so tight that if they were alive, they'd be dead. "Oh I missed you two so much." I whispered and gazed at them lovingly. Edward laughed. "Stop crushing them Ari." I glared playfully at him. "I'm not crushing them. I'm just hugging them really tight." I responded but discretely loosened my grip. "Shouldn't we go so we can get this over with?" Bella said in a haughty tone. I set Snuffles and Hedwig gently on the couch, swiftly kissing each of their round heads. "Bitch." I muttered as I passed Bella and Edward. I knew Bella didn't hear me because I was to quiet. But I knew Edward heard me. And apparently Jane and Alex did too because I could hear them start to chuckle. I entered their room and they gave me a knowing look. "Let's go guys. Time to 'get this over with'." I said mimicking Bella with a ridiculous voice. That brought another whole round of laughter. "Our stay here might not be so bad after all. Of course with all the people to torture." Jane smirked. I shook my head chuckling. "Oh Jane never change okay?" "Not planning on it." And with that she walked past me and walked down the stairs, human pace. Alec and I glanced at each other and took that as a cue to go. Halfway down the stairs, I looked back and saw Edward and Bella staring at us. I mouthed 'come on' to Edward before turning away. We entered the living room and everyone stopped what they were doing. "Where's Edward and the bitch?" Rosalie asked casually. I tried to hide a smirk but was unsuccessful. "Rosalie!" Esme said shocked. Right. No swear words when Esme is here. Carlisle doesn't like it but he won't be as bothered as Esme. "Sorry." Rosalie muttered. Right after that, Edward and Bella appeared. "Let's start since everyone is here." Carlisle said. Alec and I sat down on the love seat and Jane sat by our feet on the ground. "Hey Jane want to sit here? We can switch if you're uncomfortable." Alec offered sweetly. Aww he's just so sweet! I glanced at my family to see them watching them. Alice and Rosalie had that look girls get when they think something is cute. "Don't worry I'm fine Alec." Jane replied smiling at him. Jane rarely smiles except at Alec, Aro and I. I kind of feel special. "Alright let's start talking." Carlisle spoke, breaking the slight tension. Okay. Here we go. I'm so gonna die.
