Just Another Mistake ~Sequel to Falling
Chapter 8
Arianna's P.O.V.
Throughout the whole flight, I just stared out the window and listened to music. I didn't even realized that we touched down. Edward laid a hand on my arm and I stiffened. He saw the look on my face and he quickly removed his hand. "Um. We're here."
I nodded then stood up, seeing that most of the passengers were gone. I quickly walked past Edward and stood beside Alec. Slowly, all of us made our way out of the plane. Then a thought occurred to me.
"Are they gonna meet us here?" I asked worriedly. How would they react if they saw me? I'm pretty sure Esme would make a scene.
"No. I called them during the flight and told them that we'll just see them at the house. I told them that they should make everything look more at home." Alice replied.
I breathed a sigh of relief. I gave Alice a grateful look and she smiled at me understandingly. We left the airport...walking. "So we're running there?" Jane muttered.
"Yes. We're running there. Don't complain." Bella snapped.
Jane glared at her and opened her mouth to snap back, but I was quicker. "We? You're not even running. You have Edward carrying you. While we're running, you're just there relaxing. But of course if you insist, why don't you run all the way there bitch." I snapped.
Her eyes widened. I guess she didn't think I'd talk back to her with Edward and Alice here.
"Arianna! Don't talk to her like that. She's just tired." Edward defended.
Bella's shock expression turned into a smug look. She wrapped her arms around Edward's waist, pouting.
"Of course. Everything revolves around her right Edward? You always defend her even if she's the one who did something wrong. Ever since she arrived, she just put our whole family in danger." I hissed. Her eyes turned into great hatred. And again, feeling's mutual.
"Well at least I'm actually considered family. I doubt they'll welcome you with open arms when we get there." Bella said smugly.
Alice and Edward gasped. "Bella! What's gotten into you?" Edward gasped.
Then her expression turned all sweet and pouty. "I'm sorry Edward. I'm just really tired."
I rolled my eyes. Plastic bitch. I expected Edward to go all soft and shit. But his eyes turned hard. "But that's no excuse. Arianna's family and I know that They would all welcome her." he said coldly.
Wow. I never saw Edward so cold with Bella. I could see that Bella was also surprised. She expected Edward to agree with her and defend her. Ha. Even after what happened, I'm still more important than her.
"Bella, I advise you to stop talking because Arianna is so close to snapping your neck and I doubt that none of us would be quick enough to stop her. Now can we just go? They're all waiting for us." Alice said frostily.
I smirked. Go Alice!
Bella hopped on Edward's back with a frown on her face. She's clearly upset that she didn't get her way. We started running when we reached the edge of the woods. Running with Alice and Edward felt like the old times. But I knew that nothing would go back to those times. It seemed only like 5 minutes when we reached the Quileutes border. Everyone came to a stop.
Jane stared at us with confusion. "Why are we stopping?"
"This is the Quileutes land. We'll explain to you once you see them. It's easier that way." I said. I glanced at Alec and saw that he had a slightly understanding look. He gave me a questioning look and I understood what he was asking. If it has something to do with the wolves. So I nodded.
"I'll talk to them. They know me." Bella said smirking at me. Ha. She thinks that she's so useful.
"No I'll talk. I'm louder. And I can get there faster. You'd probably be back in 45 minutes. I can get back 30 minutes earlier." I interrupted as she moved to get off Edward.
"What? You're a vampire. They hate vampires." Bella scoffed.
"Well you're not the only one who's friends with a werewolf." I responded. "I'll be back in 15 minutes." I continued. Then I ran past the border.
I got to Jacob's house in a minute. I could hear a lot of voices so I knew that they were all there. I knocked lightly on the door.
The door opened, revealing a smiling, young looking kid. He's probably about 15 or something. His eyes widened as he saw me standing at their doorstep. But he didn't freak out like I expected him to. "Um. Jake I think someone's here to see you." He said, his voice slightly shaking.
I smiled reassuringly at him, but dared not to speak. After a few seconds, Jacob appeared behind him with a confused look. Then he saw me and a smile broke out on his face.
"Ari you're back!" He cheered. I was immediately engulfed in one of his bear hugs.
I laughed. "Yeah. But so are they." I said.
He let go and his smile was replaced with a frown. "What? The Cullens are back?"
"Yup. And we need to cross the border so we need your permission. Well I assume we need Sam's permission." I replied.
He nodded and went back inside to get Sam. The boy stared at me in wonder. I'm surprised most werewolves stare at vampires in disgust and repulsion.
"So you're a vampire." His voice laced with amazement.
I chuckled. "Yeah I am. I'm Arianna, and you are?" I held my hand out.
"I'm Seth." He shook my hand with no hesitation.
Suddenly Sam and Jacob popped up behind Seth. Sam didn't look surprised so I guess Jcob explained to him.
"How many of you are there?" Sam asked.
"There's six of us if you include me and Bella." I responded.
He nodded. "You're just passing through right?" He questioned.
"Yes. And I'm sure their very impatient right now. I'm not trying to be rude of course but I do need to hurry. And don't worry I can come back if you have questions for us." I said.
He thought about it then nodded. "Alright let's go."
He suddenly turned into a giant wolf in front of me. "Woah! That's so cool!" I breathed.
Jacob and Seth chuckled. Then they also turned into wolves. They stared at me waiting for me to lead the way. I ran through the forest with the wolves hot on my heels. Wow their pretty fast.
We reached the Jane and the others in a minute or two. I saw their look of surprise as I ran with the wolves. Bella's face dropped in disappointment. Ha. She actually thought I was just bluffing.
Janet's expression was priceless. I want to laugh but I knew what she was capable of. We suddenly stopped right in front of them.
"Okay guys. Here's Sam, Jake, and Seth. They'll be escorting us to the other side of the border." I explained.
Jane glared at me, demanding an explanation but I signalled for her to wait. We ran behind the wolves as they lead the way. We didn't encounter any of Jacob's other friends, fortunately.
We made it to the border safely. And I turned back to the three wolves and hugged Jake. I wrapped my cold pale arms around his big furry head. I honestly want Jacob to be my personal teddy bear. He's just so cuddly. "Thanks. I'll come by later after I sort out everything with my family."
He affectionately licked my face. "Ew! Jake! Thats so gross." I shied away from him laughing. I wiped my face.
The three of them gave me a nod of good bye and they disappeared into the forest. I turned back to see Alice and them staring at me with a mix of shock and disgust.
"When we get there, you are so getting a shower. You smell like a dog." Alice wrinkled her nose in disgust.
I just chuckled and shook my head. We started running again and in no time, the Cullen house came into our view. We reached the front steps and I suddenly felt hesitant. I knew it as stupid but what I Bella was right? What if they hate me and don't want me anymore?
"It's okay Ari. They'll be delighted to see you." Edward said reassuringly.
I nodded and for the first time, smiled at him. I took a deep breath and opened the door...
