Just Another Mistake ~Sequel to Falling
Chapter 2:
Arianna's P.O.V.
I laughed, running away from Alec as he tried splashing me with water. I think he forgot that I control the elements.
I shot a ball of water at him and ran across the bank giggling, at his shocked expression.
"Hey! That's not fair!" he whined.
I laughed, "Well too bad!"
We spent the next hour teasing and playing around with each other.
I think I may be able to forget about my past now. I have every thing I need here. But even though I try to convince myself I have everything I need here, I knew that I was wrong. I need the Cullen's. I need Edward.
"Hey are you alright?" Alec's gentle voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?" I lied. He gave me an unconvince look but didn't pry any further.
"I think that we should probably get back. It's getting pretty late." He said quietly with a slight hurt tone in his voice.
I groaned on the inside. That's one annoying thing about Alec. Whe he doesn't get what he wants, he sulks. The run back to the castle was pretty awkward and tense. He know that I wouldn't tell him and he hates that. It's not that I don't trust Alec, I do. It's just that I want to forget about them. Which is nearly impossible. And tal;king about them wouldn't really help me.
Aro greeted us when we finally reached the entrance of the castle.
"Ah you're finally back." Aro greeted as if we've been gone for a century.
"Aro." Alec gave hima nod then flashed away without another word.
I gave Aro a questioning look and he sighed. It was as if what he was about to say pained him. "What's going on Aro?" I questioned.
"Well, I'm sending you, Alec and Dimitri on a small mission." he explained. I stayed quiet waiting for him to continue. And what he said next made my cold, dead heart break. "The three of you will be going to Forks to visit an old friend of mine. I need you three to give a small gift to him." he continued.
No. I can't. I just can't go back to Forks. I've tried so hard to forget them. And even though I know it's impossible. I tried. I cleared my throat before speaking. "Aro, why do I need to come? It's not a big mission. So why can't it just be Alec and Dimitri? I don't really think I'm needed." I reasoned. I prayed quietly that he would see the logic behind my words and leave me out of the mission.
But of course luck wasn't on my side. "I want you to meet them. You have the same diet as them and it might please Carlisle that soemone out of the Cullen and Denali clan have their diet." he replied.
I nodded instead of saying anything. I just went up to my room after Aro finished. I didn't even bother trying to convince Aro to change his mind. It would be too suspicious. But well it will surprise Alec and Dimitri if the Cullens recognize me.
I packed a few clothes because I don't know how long I'd be there. After I finished getting ready, I started to think of different explanations. I didn't talk to anyone else after my talk with Aro. I spent my time wandering around the halls. And when night fall came, I sat in the garden right beside the blue tulips. Replaying the memories in my head over and over again.
