"Do we really have to wear this?"
"yes Rose,it's what every waitress has to wear"
"why?why cant we just wear jeans and a t-shirt with flats?it's a lot more comfortable to work in than these pants and vest and ridiculous High heels!"
"rose it's just one night.calm down.i'm not a big fan of the heel's neither but we don't have any other choice.they need their waitress's to be model like and stuff.i don't exactly know why but they said it's all for the press.that's why they even hired us.because apparently we have good looks"
"can you please tell me what does looks have to do with getting someone's champagne for them?"
"don't ask me,ask the bastard who's running this place"
i sighed finally being able to get my hair in a neat ponytail.i looked at myself in the mirror and groaned.i told Nicole:
"this looks nothing like me"
i turned around looking at her and told her:
"you don't even look like yourself!"
"well we're not being paid to look like ourselves we're being paid to look the way they want us to look and give people their Drinks so shut up and stop nagging!don't make me regret getting this job for you!"
i sighed again and apologized.i looked one more time at the reflection and shook my head.i said:
"i don't even look good in them"
Nicole looked me up and down and said:
"well your wearing a shirt under the vest and that's why you look like a moron.i didn't want to say anything but who the fuck wears a shirt under a vest."
she grabbed her bag and searched through it and walked up to me.she held her hand out holding something black in it and said:
"go put this on and take the shirt off,put the vest on the tube top and no buts!if you want to look good you do what i tell you!now go!"
i went in to the changing room again and did what Nicole told me to do,after i put the vest on the Tube top i still felt too exposed.i was showing too much skin and i wasn't use to it.i walked out of the changing room and saw Nicole's back was to me so i told her:
"Nicole i feel like i'm showing too much skin,i don't think i look good"
Nicole turned around smirked.i asked her:
"why are you smiling like that?"
"because you look hot"
i walked in front of the mirror only to see myself in the same clothes only a lot more better looking.but still i wasn't comfortable.:
"Ni i look god but...i feel too much exposed"
"oh shut it.you look hot and sexy.i bet your gonna be the waitress everyone is going to be drooling over.you might even take some one home with you.or maybe even go home with them."
i turned red when she said that and Nicole being Nicole said:
"Why are you blushing,don't tell me your not planning on sleeping with one of these Rich ass...."
she looked at my expression and all of a sudden yelled:
"your a Virgin!why didn't you tell me!oh my god!!!how are you still a virgin!?this is so fucking ...."
i had to put my hand in front of her mouth to stop her from continuing her sentence.i whispered to her:
"oh shush it!i don't need the whole neighbor hood to find out!"
"but i can't believe your a virgin!"
"well it's no biggy."
"it's no biggy?!Rose it's a biggy!it's a big biggy!your 17 and still a virgin!your gonna turn 18 in a few months!"
"well it's nothing serious to me.i'm planning to keep it until i meet the right person"
Nicole suddenly burst out laughing and said:
"the right person?!please don't tell me you actually think your gonna find the right person!Rose no ones first time is the right person!"
"my mom and dad were"
she didn't say anything after that.she sighed and sat down patting next to her.i sat down and she said:
"Rose,your mom and dad are one of the only people judging by what your saying that had actual love between them,i just don't want you to get your hopes up.every one get's hurt by some point in their relationships and there's a big chance you will too.don't wait for the right person to do it with.do it with someone who you won't have a regret giving it too.i'm just telling you what i know."
i know she was just taking care of me.i smiled at her and told her:
"i'll remember that."
she smiled.just as i was about to say something else the door to our dressing room opened and 3 other girls who i guess were waitress's too came in.we both stood up and walked out of the room because we were done changing and we know those girls would like to have their space.i mean won't you feel a little uncomfortable changing in front of strangers?cause i'm sure as hell i would.
we walked in to the kitchen only to be met with the lady who i suppose was our boss,and some other girls who were here before us.there also were some guys but they were standing on the other side of the room.
i also noticed Nicole was right.every guy and girl was without exception good looking.i felt self conscious next to them.i mean i know i wasn't ugly and all.i also wasn't too short neither was i too tall.i was 5 foot 7 inches tall.about 170 cm.
so yeah i wasn't really bad but looking at these other girls with colorful eyes and hairs and really curvy bodies,i questioned my looks.i looked so....dull.
i asked Nicole:
"aren't i a little too normal next to them?"
"don't worry like i said,your hot and beautiful.these are all fake anyone with one working eye can see that.fake boobs,fake eyes,fake hair,fake eyelashes!,even their faces are plastered with make up and fake.but your original and yourself and still a hot babe,so don't worry,like i said everyone will be drooling over you,also looks like already their jealous of you"
i looked up to see all some of the girls looking at me,well glaring at me.some had their eyebrows raised at me,others were shooting daggers at me.i felt scared.i mean wouldn't you if 10 girls were saying they will kill you with their eyes?
Nicole grabbed my hand and we walked towards them.we stood there not saying anything ,but i could feel the hate they had towards me.i looked up to see Nicole smirking and standing next to me proudly.like she was proud she was my friend.ok what's going on?
i asked Nicole:
"what is going on?why are they all shooting daggers at me?"
Nicole said:
"Well for the ball each of us gets sorted to a different part.and like i said they sort us by our looks,the good ones to the rich ones and the other's to the less rich ones.they are shooting daggers at you because they know your gonna get the richest son of a bitch out there."
"what?!no way their gonna choose me!"
"oh come on rose!your hot,beautiful and you have that innocent look.your just the perfect one for the job."
i wanted to disagree with her but i was cut off when the other 3 girl's we saw in the changing room came in and the woman i said was our boss said:
"ok line up so i can tell you which part your going to serve to"
we all did as she told.Me and Nicole stood next to each other.The woman stood in front of us and said:
"ok,as some of you know we have 3 sections and there are 20 of you here.that means every 6 of you will be sorted to one section.we have section A,section B and section C.2 of you will be sorted to serve at the private section's which there are 2 of them,that means that each one of those 2 will be serving to the most respectable and Important people who are going to be here."
oh my god,they take these things too seriously.i wonder who's the lucky one who get's picked for the private sections.since it's the most important sections in this whole freaking thing.
she continued:
" so i'm gonna start with Section C"
i looked at Nicole and she whispered:
"that's the lowest section"
The lady called 6 of us and i wasn't in them,neither was Nicole.i was kinda happy because i mean admit it,i was happy to not be in the lowest section.then she went on to section B.i wasn't in them neither was Nicole.so that means we're in section A.we both looked at each other and smiled proudly.The lady said:
"and as for Section A:Elizabeth Smith,Nicole Jonas,Tina Wahlberg,Amy Tones,Sandra Pitts and Larena Fellworth"
i looked at Nicole wide eyed and she winked at me while walking forward.my mouth was hanging open.i found myself asking:
"what about me?"
the lady looked at me and the girl next to me who was looking as shocked as i was looking, while saying:
"you too are Rose Edwards and Nina Dobrev right?"
we both nodded our head.she smiled and said:
"well congratulations you have been chose for the private sections.you must consider yourself lucky not every one gets to serve to these people"
she then clapped her hands and said:
"ok you have 5 minutes to get ready and i'll be back with some other people to escort you to your sections and get you started."
with that she walked out.i looked at Nicole and she smiled wildly while coming to me and hugging me saying:
"congratulations,your officially are going to get the most money out all of us!"
i still couldn't believe i was chosen.i looked to see the other girl standing alone,smiling to herself.there was no one with her so i guess she was alone.Nicole saw it too and said:
"wanna go and make another friend?"
"yeah why the hell not?"
we walked up to her and i smiled at her,she was surprise that we were walking towards her and she kept looking around to see of we were walking towards someone else.i asked her:
"Nina right?"
she was now smiling shyly at us and said:
"yeah.."
Nicole smiled and said:
"hey Nina,I'm Nicole and this is Rose."
she smiled at us and said:
"hi nice to meet you"
i told her:
"nice to meet you too,so can you believe we were chosen?"
she smiled wider probably as happy as me that she was chosen out of every one.now that i'm looking at her closely i have to say this girl is a pretty girl.nothing special but pretty,just like what Nicole said about me.
She said:
"yeah,i thought i was going to get chosen for the worst section,but i can't believe i was chosen for the private section!they say like really rich people and Important people are in there.i wonder who i'm going to get?"
"yeah me too"
Nicole said:
"well if it's a young rich handsome bastard make sure to flirt and fu...."
"Nicole!!!!!"
"sorry..."
Nina laughed at Nicole and i just shook my head at her.right then The lady cam back with 3 other women and Nicole said:
"well that's my cue to leave,don't forget what i said!"
with that she walked back to her group and i smiled at Nina while she giggled slightly.she seems like a nice person.
The Lady who i still don't know the name of said:
"ok i need each of you to follow their boss for the night.Section A you have Miss Fey,Section B you have Miss Poehler,Section C you have Miss Streep,and as for you 2"
she turned towards us and said:
"you follow me"
we all nodded our head and Nicole mouthed to both of us 'good luck' and took off behind her group while we went the opposite direction towards the stairs.is the private section upstairs?
i was beginning to get nervous and i could also tell Nina was too.
we walked the stairs up for a good 5 minutes,how up is this private section?!
finally when we reached a big floor with Cream walls and floors,there was expensive and big statues and painting's on the walls.and this was only the hall way,i wonder what's like in the private section?
we walked and walked until we reached the end of the hall and there was 2 big brown doors each going to one side,one left and the other one right.
the lady then turned around and said:
"i need you to listen to me carefully alright?this is the most important part of this whole ball,the people that are going to stay here are the main reason this ball is even thrown.we can't tell you who they are until they come here due to some protection reasons.when you go in there your going to do what ever they ask you to do.it can be from pouring their drinks to chopping their foods or even feeding them."
what?!
"if your not going to do this then you should tell me now so i can change you with some one else,but if you choose to stay you have to do what ever they want or else.now can you or can you not?"
i looked at Nina and saw she was as doubtful as me.but we didn't say anything.we both need the money and if i'm being honest,i want to see who's going to be in there.the lady said:
"good,now you,"
she pointed to Nina
"you are going to go through the right door.and you,"
she pointed at me
"you are going to go through the left door.i want both of you to be respectful and you shouldn't talk or even make yourself known unless your asked too.don't even look at them in their face because if they feel like your disrespecting them,they can easily order some one to teach some manner's to you,and believe me it's not only teaching manner's what they'll do to you if you disrespect them"
ok this is creepy.i felt a little afraid of who ever's going to stay here.she then continued:
"you both have to keep track of time.the ball is going to start at 6:00 clock sharp,our guests are going to be here sooner,or maybe even later,there's going to be some one at your door at some times which will give you what ever your going to serve.He'll be there at 6:00,6:15,6:30,7:00. at 7:30 Dinner is going to be served,so our guests will most likely come out of here to go downstairs.you'll have to clean everything and give them to some one who i'll send to take them from you.after Dinner the ball goes on until 9:00,and like every other year they'll all start leaving by then."
i nodded my head,trying to memorize what she just told me.she continued:
"there is an alcohol cabinet in there as well,for sure they are going to order something but that's not for you to make,there's going to be some one else with you in there for the alcohol,you should just take what ever the bartender makes and give it to them,do not touch the alcohol"
wow,they hired a private bartender for who ever is going to stay here.they must be really important.although i had to say i felt kind of relieved that i wasn't going to be there alone.
"looks like the bartender's are here"
i turned around and so did Nina,there were 2 guys looking a little older than us walking towards here.they both were good looking actually.is it me or recently every guy i see is good looking.
they reached us and one of them said:
"Miss Lila."
the lady who i assume her name was Lila said:
"hi,and it's Miss Lockhart for you"
then she turned towards us and said:
"ok Rose you'll be working with Josh Devine,and Nina you'll be working with Dan Richards."
one of the guys walked up to me and said:
"I'm Josh Devine,it's a pleasure to meet you"
then he did something i never even thought any one would.he grabbed my hand and kissed behind it making me blush furiously.the other one who i guess was Dan did the same with Nina and said:
"I'm Dan Richards,i'm glad i'll be working with such a beautiful lady like you for the rest of the night"
which made Nina blush like me and giggle.i heard Miss Lockhart say:
"ok if your done with flirting we have to get to work,Josh and Dan you both know how everything goes since you've been working here for 3 years.so i trust you to help both Nina and Rose to do their best,i have to go now.good luck"
please god,help me survive this.
