Fear

When i told my grand mother about the job,she got more excited than i expected.and it made me happy too.
we ate dinner together watching TV and it was about 10 when she said:
"ok,i'm going to go to bed,good night honey"
"good night grand ma"
she kissed my forehead and headed down the hall way in to her own room.i watched TV for another 45 minutes until i got tired and decided i should sleep to.since it's going to be my first day working tomorrow.
i headed to my room and changed in to something more comfortable.i lied down on my bed under the cover's and grabbed my phone.i was going to silent it when i saw i got a new email.it was from the site i read those articles about the handsome Billionaire who also happened to be a murderer,kidnapper,drug dealer and etc.
oh and incase your wondering,yeah i became a member of the site.
The Title said:
"Styles decides to take a break"
i got curious and opened the email and clicked on the link that took me to the page,i read the whole article and found out that Styles's Lawyer and Personal Doctor told the press that Styles is having too much pressure and needs a little break from everything.so he's going to leave town to an unknown location for a month before The big Ball.i also found out that The Big Ball is a big party where Rich people gather together and spend time with each other,and also it's kind of a fundraiser.
so the devil is going to go to a vacation for one month,and he's going to come back for the Ball.

i locked my phone and went to sleep not so long after that.


i woke up with the sound of my phone's alarm clock.i looked at the clock it was 6:00 just like i set it to be.i grunted and tapped my phone to snooze it,i rolled over and went more under the cover's but there was a voice inside my head saying:
Rose,you have to go to work,Get up,you don't want to be late for your first day
i grunted again and sat upright in my bed,i yawned and stretched my hands still siting on my bed.i turned the alarm off and stood up from my bed walking to the bathroom.i decided in a quick shower so i would wake up.
After i took a shower i felt much better.i walked back in to my room and changed in to new undergarment's.i chose a Skinny dark blue jean with a yellow top.i made my hair in to a neat ponytail and made sure to put on some eyeliner and lip gloss.i also used a little blush to give my cheeks a little more color.i wore my black flats like yesterday and grabbed my jacket.
i took my phone and got it out of silent mode.i walked out and got in to the kitchen only to see my grand mother sitting behind the table with a cup of coffee in her hand,when she saw me she smiled and said:
"good morning Darling"
"morning granny,what are you doing up so early?"
"well i thought maybe i would make my favorite granddaughter in the whole world breakfast on her first day of work"
"I'm your only grand daughter,and thank you,it means a lot to me"
"don't even mention it,now sit down,Pancakes or waffles?"
"pancakes if it's not a problem"
she gave me a plate with pancakes on them and i thanked her.i took a bite and moaned out loud.yeah it was that good.i asked her with a mouth full of food:
"how do you make these?their so...so...good!"
"a true chef never spills her secrets"
"you just made that motto"
"well it's my motto from now on"
i chuckled slightly at her and shook my head.after i was done i stood up and hugged her.she was surprised probably because this was the first time i hugged her since the day in the hospital.i kissed her cheek and told her:
"well see you at 6 i guess,bye grand ma"
"bye honey,have fun"
"i'll try"
i walked out of the house and towards the coffee shop.when i got there it was 6:50.the Shop still had the close sign but i saw movement inside of it.i walked towards the door and pushed it and to my surprise it opened.i saw Nicole standing next to some tables turning the chair back on the ground from the tables.when she saw me she smiled and said:
"Rose,right?hey!"
i smiled back at her and told her:
"yeah,and you were Nicole right?"
"yup but you can call me Ni,everyone does"
"ok ni"
i walked to the place Nicole was standing yesterday and turned around towards her,i asked her:
"look,uhm...I've never been a cashier before...so i really don't know how to.."
"hey it's alright,it's really easy i'll help you"
i smiled at her gratefully and she walked up next to me.after she told me what every button does and made sure i learned them by asking me question's she said:
"ok,you got it,see i told you it was going to be easy,now just make sure to be polite to who ever is asking you for order's no matter what kind of a dick they are"
i nodded my head in understanding and just as i was about to ask her what did she do when some one was rude to her the door opened and Sara came in,she smiled at both of us and said:
"hey Ni,Hey Rose,i'm gonna turn the sign around,good luck on your first day rose"
"thank you"
she turned the sign around and walked back in to the kitchen,Nicole winked at me and walked to the tables to continue what she was doing before i got here,not minutes after that the door opened and a guy in a suit came in,he walked up straight to me and asked me:
"hi,can i have a Coffee,black?"
"of course sir,right away"
i stood up from my sit and grabbed the coffee pot from behind myself and poured it in to one of the plastic cups and gave it to him.he took it from me and sipped on it while giving me the exact same amount i was going to ask for,i told him:
"thank you sir"
"it was nice meeting you,you'll be seeing me here every morning"
"looking forward to it"
he smiled at me and walked out of the shop.i turned to see Nicole giving me a thumbs up and getting back to work.i sighed and smiled.
the rest of the day was spent pretty fast.i did everything rightly and didn't have a problem once,none of the customer's were rude.it was 11 o'clock when Sara turned the open sign to close.and said:
"ok,i'm gonna be back by 1,see you then"
with that she walked outside,Nicole walked up to me and sat on the counter while saying:
"i like you"
i was confused,i looked at her probably looking like a puzzle and she said:
"i like you because your not rude,or one of those bitchy girls.i think we can be good friends"
i smiled at her and told her:
"thank you,I like you too.and i would love to be friend's with you since i have none"
"yes you do,me and sara"
"yeah,i guess i do now"
she said:
"so how old are you?"
"i'm 17 and you?"
"no shit!i'm 17 too!"
"ok,so where do you live?"
"not far from here,a few blocks.i live with my sister.and i guess you live near here too right?"
"yup,only a street far from here,i live with my grand mother though"
"cool,i would like to meet her,what about your parents?"
the smile got wiped off of my face and Nicole figure everything out apparently because she said:
"oh my god sorry,i didn't know.."
"it's alright,they passed away 3 week's a go actually"
"oh my god i'm such a dumb ass..."
"no your not,you were going to find out some day"
"you said 3 weeks a go?how are you so....so..."
"calm?"
"yeah?!"
"well someone told me life goes on and i need to move on,they also made me realize the only way to make my parents happy is to live a happy life because that's what they always wanted so here i am trying"
"wow,that must be real hard for you"
"you have no idea"
"well my parent's are a whole different story,at least you know what it feels like to have a mother or a father.My mother left us when i was 3,she never gave a shit about us.i never even saw her smile at me.My father was a drunk,got himself killed 2 years a go in a car accident.i've been living with my sister ever since,she's 4 years older than me,which makes her 21"
we both got silent after that,suddenly out of no where i blurted out:
"i like your hair color"
she giggled and said:
"yup,i defiantly like you,come on,it's 11:45 already,let's go grab some lunch."
"from where?"
"i know a restaurant not far from here,the foods great"
"what about the restaurant next to us?"
"no!no!no! we don't go there!their a bunch off jackasses,i hate them,sara hates them,jeff(the guy who works in the kitchen with sara)hates them,so you hate them too"
"ok..."
she took my hand and yelled:
"Jeff!we're gonna go grab a bite wanna come?"
he yelled back:
"Nope!have fun!"
we walked out and i asked her:
"is Jeff a good guy?i've only seen him once all morning"
that was true i only saw him once and he seemed like a nice guy,he was about Sara's age and had blonde hair.he was pretty fit too.he also seemed like a funny guy.
"yup he's pretty cool,but yo should know he's...."
"he's what?"
"he's gay"
"really?"
"yup"
"oh okay"
"you don't have a problem with it?"
"why should i?i respect them.i don't see the difference.their people, we're people.i don't know why some people make such a big deal out of it"
"thank god,i thought you were gonna freak out"
we walked for another good 10 minutes and talked about different stuff,Nicole was pretty funny and she was a nice girl as well.she took me to this restaurant which had pretty good burgers.after we ate i paid for both of us when she wasn't paying attention and she glared at me and pouted the whole walk coming back.i apologized to her at least a thousand times until she said:
"it's alright i know you meant good,but i don't like it when people do these things,next time i'm gonna pay for both of us ok?"
"ok"
when we got in to the store it was nearly 1 o'clock so we both got to work right away,sara was already back and the shop got opened once again.
the rest of the day went by pretty fast,and before i knew it,it was already 6:00 and the guy,Joshua i think,who was supposed to be my replacement was here.i greeted him and he did the same.he looked about my age maybe a little older.he had dark brown hair and grey eyes.he was tall and pretty handsome too.i left my place and told Nicole i was going to take off,i also went in to the kitchen to say goodbye to Jeff and Sara.Sara said:
"well ,9 hours,each hour 7 dollars,thats 63 dollars for your first day.i'll right it down right here"
she wrote down something in a black notebook.i told her goodbye and walked out of the kitchen and made my way out of the coffee shop towards my house.
i think i'm gonna like this job.

1month later.

"Rose,hurry!we're going to be late!"
"i'm coming, i'm coming"
right now,me and Nicole are trying to get to work from my home,she spent the night with me and we kinda forgot to turn our alarm on,We've become much closer and now she's now my best friend.we hang out a lot and i always have a good time with her,i'm much better than i was a month a go,i've met a lot of people,been to a lot of places,done a lot of things,that i never would've gone close to if it wasn't because i moved to London.also granny liked Nicole a lot.
i finally grabbed my phone and ran out of my room towards the kitchen were Nicole was standing at,when she saw me she sighed and said:
"finally, let's go!!"
my grand mother snickered at us and we both kissed her cheeks saying goodbye to her,after we got out of the house we started running towards the coffee shop,we we're laughing and running like 2 maniac's.when we finally reached the coffee shop we slowed down and walked in while still laughing and panting.Sara was already inside,she saw us and shook her head at us while smiling slightly at us,she turned the sign around and walked back in to the kitchen,i went to do my job and Nicole went to do her's but not before us sharing one last glance and giggling.
the rest of the day went by rather quickly and before i knew it,it was 11:00 and time for our lunch break,like always Sara closed the shop and went to do what ever she does,and me,Nicole and Jeff stayed in the shop.i've grown to like Jeff a lot.he's a pretty cool and funny guy.and he doesn't look like he's gay at all.i'm lying if i say i wasn't kinda attracted to him at first but after a while i grew to like him as a friend but nothing more.
like always Nicole walked up to me and sat in front of me on the counter and said:
"One of my friend's called me,do you know about the big ball?"
the name was really familiar for me,i don't know from where but it's like i've heard it before...
"i think i've heard from it before..."
"yeah well it's like these big party thing were the most rich ass people go to and my friend who also is a help for the chef's there,told me she can get us a job,we can both be a waitress there.they tip us a hell of a lot and the job itself pay's really good,so what do you say?you in?"
well,it seems like a good option so why not?
"yeah why not?but i've never been a waitress before"
"it's easy,in these kind of stuff you just walk around with a tray full of champagne and just walk up to who ever calls you and let them take a glass,some time's it's snack's, other times different kind of cookies which are to die for.i mean it, they taste like heaven."
"ok,aren't you supposed to serve them not eat them?"
"who cares if we eat a cookie or 2,or even 10.well i certainly don't"
i just shook my head at her,i told her:
"I'm in"
"great,let me just call Susan and tell her"
"ok"
she jumped off the counter and walked to the place where we put our bag's and grabbed her phone.she called the person i presume was Susan and told her about us taking the job and after that we went to get lunch and this time Jeff Came with us.but we made sure to lock the store.
i kept thinking and thinking trying to remember where did i hear about the Big ball but nothing came to mind.Jeff's voice got me out of my trance with saying:
"Damn that guy has a cute ass"
i looked at the guy he was looking at i couldn't help but snicker.it was still weird for me to see a guy say these thing's but i wasn't complaining,it was kinda cute and funny at the same time.Nicole also snickered and said:
"no arguing with you there,but i prefer blonde guys"
we talked after that and ate our lunch,the big ball didn't come to my mind for the rest of the day until when we were going home,After a week i started working here Nicole also got a Replacement from after 6,since she said she got too tired and couldn't work right.
when we were gathering our stuff Nicole's Phone buzzed and she looked at it telling me:
"The Ball's tomorrow at 6 but we have to be there from 4.since we have to change and get ready."
"what?!tomorrow!"
"yeah,so what?"
"i don't know i just thought it was like in a week or something."
"don't worry,you'll do fine"
"i hope so"
