A Boy and His Guitar
Thirty One
Niall was sitting on a bleacher after school, writing in a notebook. His backpack was opened, and books were sprawled out near him, so Clarity assumed he was doing homework. Clarity was walking across the fields, knowing Niall couldn't see her walking towards him.
He still didn't notice her as Clarity slammed down the guitar case. He jumped, his pen falling from his hand, mid-word. Clarity had her hands on her hips.
“I'm sorry.” Clarity pointed down to the case. “Open it.”
Niall was silent. He read the golden cursive letters on the front: Great Guitars. His hand hesitantly went to the locks on the side, flipping them up.
Clarity was waiting as he slowly opened the case. He looked up at her through his fringe, his eyes wide. He slowly took the guitar out.
“Clarity…” She smiled.
It was an acoustic guitar. It was a navy blue, almost black color. It had grey cloud designs, and strikingly bright yellow lightning bolts. The strap she had also gotten him was Ireland’s flag, which, when Clarity saw it, had been screaming for her to get.
“Thank you,” Niall said slowly, his pronunciation a lot better for a moment. “I can't…wow.” Clarity could see the tears in Niall's eyes.
“Thank you so much, Clarity.” Niall put the guitar down, stepping down from the bleacher and standing up.
“I'm really sorry,” he said, and suddenly his arms were around her. It seemed like an eternity since he embraced her the last time.
“Me too.”
Notes
This is the last chapter of AB&G. (That's what I'm going to call it now). I will not be making a sequel to this, or an epilogue (I think).
I have another story, called Vivid Minds. I would love if you went to check that out.
Also, I am looking for new story ideas. I might want a co-author, just leave a comment below.
Love you, bye!
