A Boy and His Guitar

Niall looked at Clarity when tey both sat down on the blanket. She seemed nervous, and yet desperate to know.
"Ihravhermes," he mumbled.
"What," Clarity said. He took a deep breath.
"I have Herpes."
Clarity gasped. She sort of scooted away a little, as Niall would have expected her to.
"Is it contagious," she asked with a small voice. He nodded, closing his eyes tightly. "So that's why you always wear long sleeves and jeans?" He nodded again.
There were other reasons, but she didn't ask for the other reasons.
"Tell me more about Herpes," she said. Niall's eyes shot open, and he looked at her confused. "Go on."
"Well, it's a virus that usually attack the skin, or nervous system. it infects the skin, like I said, and you usually tell when you get blisters on your skin," he went on.
"Oh," Clarity said, rubbing her arms. Niall looked at her sadly. "Sorry I'm symptom prone," she explained. "Whenever someone mentions symptoms of anything I feel like I have it. Nothing personal or anything."
Niall nodded.
"You and Jessy are my only friends, by the way." Clarity instantly though of his 'old friends' he'd mentioned earlier.
"Niall," she asked, "when you said you had 'old friends,' where did they go?" He laughed, but he could tell it was forced.
"That's a story do later, CeCe," he said and bopped her nose. She knit her eyebrows.
"Cece," she raised a brow.
"C for Clarity C for Constellation. I don't know if you don't like it-"
"I love it, Niall."
