A Love Story

Katie’s POV.

“Who is she?” Harry questioned.
My heart stopped. I couldn’t breathe. I felt the same as when right before I fainted in front of Harry’s house, but I was glad. I didn’t want to deal with this now. I was ready to leave everyone for a while, but I didn’t. I stayed right there in that hospital chair. Everyone was looking at me, waiting to see what I would do, but I didn’t know what to do so I just said

“Harry it’s me, Katie”

“No, I’m sorry I don’t remember you.” He replied.
I felt tears form around the rim of my eyes.

“Harry please, try harder! I am your best friend, I’m the girl you took on a date that ended horribly. Harry I’m the girl you poured out your feelings to!”

“That’s not true. All that you just said happened between Me and LAYLA. Not you.”
No. NO! This can’t be happening!

“No Harry. Sweetie all those memories are with Katie. Not me.” Layla added quickly.
I can feel all the shocked eyes staring at us, and what is going on.

“I’m sorry, I just don’t have feelings for you as I do Layla. If all those memories are with Katie, why do I feel like I’m in love with Layla? You guys are just messing with my head, aren’t you?”
Layla’s POV.

“I’m sorry, I just don’t have feelings for you as I do Layla. If all those memories are with Katie, why do I feel like I’m in love with Layla? You guys are just messing with my head, aren’t you?”

“No, we’re not. You love Katie. Not Layla! You have so many pics of you and Katie on your phone to!” Niall said.
I was waving at him to get his attention to tell him not to show him his pictures because Harry and I had just went bowling and took loads of pictures. He didn’t see me though.

“All I see here are pictures of me and Layla bowling. And by the looks of it we are having fun. Are the pictures wrong to?”
I felt myself hide my face in my hands, I felt so horrible because Katie started to bawl and left the room. I chased her out in the hall calling her name.

“Katie! Katie wait!”
I saw her a slowdown and stop.

“What Layla. What?! He obviously liked you before he got into the accident!” She shouted.

“No he didn’t! We have just been friends for a while and it happens to be that we are neighbors. That’s it! He likes YOU!
“Layla. I am Harry’s so called best friend, and we never took pictures like those. As a matter of fact we barely took pictures. The way he looked at you in the pictures was… was just so different. I’m not going to stand in the way of you two.” Katie said holding back her tears.

“Sweetie I’m not going to steel Harry from you. He really likes you, ok? Sure I may have a crush on him, but who doesn’t? You two look so good together, and I will try my very best to regain his memory of you. You are like a sister to me, and I would never do something as horrible as taking him away because he lost his memory.”
Tears were just flowing out of my eyes at this point. Katie didn’t even respond we just hugged, while crying our eyes out. We were interrupted when the nurse came to tell us what happened to Harry.
“Ladies. Harry has a rare condition that we haven’t seen in years. After the date he was so upset that he got drunk, and his brain wanted to eliminate this pain by anyhow. So he forgot who you are Katie, and replaced his memories with the next person he loves. All though it may seem that all his memories are switched so that they are with Layla, that’s not it at all. He wanted to let go of all the bad that happened, so he would only remember up to where he kissed Candi. I’m sorry, but it all depends on him and his body on how fast he recovers.” The doctor told us.

“Thank you doctor” I said. And she walked away.
We walked back into the room to see what everyone else was going to do.

“Did you guys get the news?” Zayn asked.

“Yea. We did.” Katie said.

“So what are we going to do?” Niall questioned.

“I’m going to stay here with Harry tonight. It’s late and everyone needs rest.” I responded.

“Yea me to. I want to stay.” Katie added.

“Sorry love I don’t think it’s the best thing to do. Harry doesn’t remember who you are and maybe you staying here is a little weird to him.” Liam said.


“Yea I agree. You can spend the night at my place and we’ll drive here right after school tomorrow. “El uttered.

“Yea, ok I guess you’re right. Thanks El, I’ll just go home with you.” Katie sighed.
I knew she was upset though, you can see that she was trying to hold back her tears. Everyone left around 11:30, but I didn’t go to bed and neither did Harry. We just talked about Katie, I was trying to get him to remember her but it was no use. I got really tired after 2 hours of talking, so I went to bed hoping that in the morning everything will be ok.

Hi Guys! OK I know you guys probably want to kill me because I haven't updated in so long and that this chapter is SUPER SSGORT! BUT I have an excuse! MY Uncle and his 3 babies just moved to Cali so I had to help him with the kids and stuff. Now this is a boring filler chapter, but I promise! Next chapter I will try to put in some drama!
