A Love Story

Layla's POV

I tried I casually speed walk down the driveway before Harry says anything that could ruin this date. I still love Harry and that's why I have to move on. It's the bet for both of us, and him not knowing who he will choose,Katie or me, makes this process so much harder.

"Hey guys!" I tried smiling as normal as possible.All I heard was a simultaneous Woah.

"You never dressed like that for me?" Harry questioned trying to hide his smile."Wait, you two dated??" Luke asked confused.

"No Luke we never dated and Harry we never dated...!""It's complicated." Harry blurted."Look if you guys want I will just go home." Luke adds.

"Yea why don't you just go home, your not needed here." Harry said a he patted Luke's shoulder.

"HARRY!" I exclaimed.

"What can a man not say the truth?" Harry smirked.

"Oh my god." I whispered under my breath.

"Harry can I talk to you alone for a second?" I continued.

"Sure anything for you babe he winked grabbing my waist and walking away from Luke.I gently pushed his hand off and said,

"What the hell are you doing??! This is not who you are. Are you trying to screw up my date?"

"What I'm doing is fighting for you. And yes if you haven't realized I want him to leave."

"Harry please don't do this. I can go through with this anymore." My voice began to crack. But I had to continue

" I have had feelings for you ever since you moved in next door and all we became was close friends, you never looked at me the way you did after the accident. But me, I always loved you even when you would come in the middle of the night telling me how you can't sleep because you haven't told Katie how you feel yet. Even when we went bowling and you told everyone no we are just friends. Harry babe I can't go through with that any more, I will always love you Styles even if I am with someone else I will get weak around you if you keep acting like this." I was trying my hardest not to cry but I couldn't this was just to much for me.I looked into Harry's eyes to see that they were also wet with tears and I hated that I said that but I had to.

"Layla," he began."I love you."

"Harry please!" I pleaded letting all my tears go.

"This is not easy for me!!" I cried.

"But I do." He said as he tried not to let his voice crack.

"What about Katie huh? Let me guess you love her to right??! I can't just be there Harry!! I'm either yours or not!!"I screamed in anguish.What happened next was something I've never seen before.Harry was so upset he started to cry and hard. He was looking for something to hit but when he couldn't find any thing he punched the side of the house causing his fist to bleed. My hands flew to my mouth and before I could do or say anything he grabbed my face and kissed my lips hard. It was such an amazing kiss I couldn't resist I gave in an kissed him back. I needed to catch my breath but I didn't want to let go so I let it all out and it felt amazing. Harry slowly pulled out of the kiss his hands still around my face and said,

"When I'm with you my heart races faster, when I'm with you I tend to do stupid things because I love you. I know I have been so confusing lately but baby I don't feel this way around Katie. Every time we hangout there is not a second I'm not smiling. Just please as I'm sorting things out in my head, stay with me." As the last word came out of his mouth a tear followed sliding down his cheek. Before it reached the end I kissed his cheek, looked at him straight in the eye and said,

"I can't."I heard take in a little gasp as he closed his eyes in shock.

Harry's POV.

"I can't."

Those words just echoed in my head as I tried not to fall over. I felt like I wanted to throw up, I was light headed and couldn't see clearly. I can't believe this just happened. I could have sworn I heard wrong so I tried to catch my breathe and asked

"D-Did you..." I let out a little sigh and continued."Did you just say.... I can't...?"
She stopped, looked back at me and continued walking to Luke's car.

Luke's POV

As I sat there in my car watching Layla and Harry talk I felt shittier and shittier about myself. What if Sabrina was right and Layla is really sweet? But then why would Candi lie to me...? God this is so confusing, but something was telling me to go through with this date.

"Are you okay?" I asked when Layla entered the car.

"Yea I'm fine. It's better for the both of us this way."

"Do you still want to go to dinner?"She took in a deep breathe flashed me one of her gorgeous little smiles and said,

"Yes."

As I drove to Outback Layla was fixing her makeup from all the crying she did. I know if I don't go through with this whole plan Candi is going to do something terrible to both of us, so it is better if everything plans out her way.

2 HOURS LATER

Layla's POV.

Luke is super sweet and understanding of everything. And this date was so cute and romantic!! After dinner at Outback he took me to a drive in movie at the park. I couldn't help thinking of Harry throughout all this, but that's it I have to move on. Towards the end of the night I got a text from Niall.

To : Layla
From : Niall

Layla wth did you do to Harry??!He's at my house crying is eyes out, I'm not letting him drink, but you know Harry. If he's mad and wants something. He'll get it.

To : Niall
From : Layla
I'm on a date rn can't talk. I'll explain later. DO NOT LET HIM DRINK.

To : Layla
From : Niall

Wtf no wonder he's a mess?!! Who are you with???

To : Niall
From : Layla

Luke. Now stop texting me!!

To : Layla
From : Niall

Come to my house right after. I don't give a sht what time it is.

I didn't respond, I jut shoved my phone in my purse and looked back up at the movie to find that it finished.

"Did you like it?" Luke's asked

"Yea it was great." I smiled

"Let's get home it's getting pretty late." I quickly added.

"Yea no problem."

The ride back home was so cute and sweet but I couldn't stop thinking about Harry and how he's feeling right now.

Niall's POV.

"HARRY!"

"Leave me along Niall!"

"What the hell are you doing??!"

"What I have to do."

"JUST CALM DOWN AND WE CAN TALK ABOUT THIS. LAYLA IS ON HER WAY HERE."

"Good that way she won't see what I'm about to do."

"HARRY!"

"LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE NIALL!"

I sighed not know what to do and said.

"Fine just think this through before you do it."

"This doesn't need any more thinking." And he walked out the front door slamming it behind him causing the front part of the house to shake entirely.
