Adrianne’s POV.

I was cuddling with Niall watching Adam Sandler’s new movie Blended when I got a phone call from Layla. I quickly answered hoping she was ok. The first thing I heard was the phone falling on the floor, soon after I heard Layla whisper that she is sorry. I was so confused so I sat up, muted the T.V and paid closer attention. I heard a scream of pain which hurt me for some reason, so I knew it was Layla. I didn’t think twice, I shot up off the couch; I went to grab my car keys off the wall when Niall was already at the door telling me he’ll drive.
I ran out the door and told Niall to drive to the hospital. He didn’t ask, he was driving way over speed limit, but it was okay. Layla was in trouble and I needed to help her. I could still hear everything going on, someone get banged against something big, right after that I hear choking. I knew with all my heart that Layla would never be fighting because she never like to hurt anyone, so I knew someone was choking her.
I couldn’t hold it back, I started sobbing screaming for it to stop. They obviously couldn’t hear me, but I couldn’t hold it back. No matter how much I shouted and cried the choking sound wouldn’t stop. When we finally arrived at the hospital I quickly glanced at Niall and he looked like he was ready to murder someone he was so angry. We were in the hallway of the 5th floor to Harry’s old room when the choking sound stopped. I stopped running my heart fell I couldn’t breathe, it took me 5 seconds to run as fast as I can to the room to save her.
We tried to open the door, but it was locked so Niall kicked it open with all force. I saw Candi on top of Layla with her hands around Layla’s neck, I couldn’t believe it. We ran over to her to stop her, but she continued as if no one was there. Niall carried Candi off of Layla and threw her on the floor.

“Layla please wake up! It’s me Adrianne, PLEASE LAYLA!” I sobbed shaking her.

“Niall you took a CPR class help her!” I continued

“Sweetie I took that a while ago, but I’ll try.”

He went down to his knees moving the hair out of her face he cupped is fists and began to pump in the middle of her chest.

“Adrianne go get help.” He said firmly.

I got up and ran down the hall screaming for help.

Niall’s POV.
“Adrianne go get help.” I said firmly.

After 30 pumps I lifted her head back, pinched her nose and blew until her chest rose and tilted her head down. Again I lifted her head back and blew as much air as I could for her chest to rise, I couldn’t let her Layla go, I loved her so much I felt like crying. She is more than a sister to me and if she passes not only will I be devastated, so will Adrianne.
Just as I finished blowing air in for the second time she lifted herself up half an inch off the floor and gasped for air. I quickly carried her and set her on the hospital bed.

“Thank you.” She tried her hardest to say, but it couldn’t come out.
I was just so happy she could breathe, I didn’t care if she can talk right now. I gave her a kiss on the forehead and turned around to deal with Candi, but she wasn’t there. I turned back to Layla to see if she had seen where she went, but Layla was already shaking her head no.
“I’m going to call the police.” I said as Adrianne and the doctors rushed in.

“No, don’t do that.” Layla groaned.

“It’s probably best for you to limit your speech on the first day.” Doctor Harper said.

“Ok fine whatever, just don’t call the police on her.” Layla continued.
“Layla she almost fucking KILLED you!” Adrianne almost shouted.
I saw a tear run down her face before she said,

“I just don’t want to ruin her life with jail.”

“But she almost took away your life!” I said firmly

“Well I’m okay now. We can just deal with her in person, no need to bring the police into this.” Layla said coughing.
I could see that Adrianne was about to blow up on her so I tugged on her shirt when no one was looking, indicating for her to calm down. She looked up at me and I can see threw her beautiful eyes that she was mad, but most of all she looked so sad I felt it.

“Does Layla have to stay here over night?” I asked doctor Harper.

“In most cases like this I would say ‘Yes’ but seeing she has good friends that care about her, who actually saved her life. I will make an acceptation if she would like to go home.”
No one said a word, everyone just turned to Layla to wait for her answer. She looked around the room and into every single one of us in the eye and finally shook her head yes.

On the way back I drove Layla’s car to my house while Adrianne drove with Layla to my house. While waiting at a traffic light Harry called.

“Hey Hazz.” I answered.

“Hey Niall, do you know where Layla is? She’s not answering her phone and neither is Adrianne.”

“Yea mate I do. She uh was in an incident…”
“What do you mean incident?” I heard his voice tense up.

“Well when she went to get your clothes from the hospital Candi was there.”

“And…?”

“And she was really upset that you left without her knowing so she kinda got into a fight with Layla.”

“What do you mean? Was it serious?!”

“Yea actually it was. Candi almost killed her.”

“WHAT?! HOW?!?!?!”

“She choked her until she passed out, and even after she didn’t want to let go.”

“That bitch is fucking crazy!!! Where is Layla now?!”

“We are all on our way to my house.”

“Okay I’m coming over.”

“No Harry I don’t think that is such a good-“ I got cut off when I heard the click of the other line going off.

I didn’t think it was such a good idea for Harry to come see Layla since she is already emotionally unstable. Adrianne hasn’t been to my house in a while so- SHIT! I forgot Jennifer is most likely there WITH Aiden! I have to make up an excuse to go back to Layla’s house, so I rapidly dialed Adrianne’s number.

“Hey babe.” She picked up.

“Hey lovely, listen why don’t we go to Layla’s house tonight so she is comfortable in her own bed…?”

“Yea that sounds like a good idea but I just pulled into your driveway. By the way there is a car that I’ve never seen before here.”

“Uh yea I sometimes let my neighbor park in my driveway to get away.”

“Oh ok, I’m pulling out right now to meet you at Layla’s. And you sound out of breathe is everything ok?”

“Yea everything is perfectly fine. Bad signal I guess.”

“Okay my love I’ll meet you there.”

“Okay, bye.” I managed to say before I hung up.

I have to tell her about Jennifer and Aiden being at my house, but I don’t know how…
