A Million Pieces

Niall's POV:
"I'll be there in twenty minutes." "Me too. Just try to hurry." I felt weird talking to harry. Since I just got his ex-fiancé pregnant a few months ago. I sped up a lot. "I need to get there." I turned into her driveway when I saw harry at the door. "Harry the key is under the......" He ignored me completely. The next thing I knew, he had kicked the door down. We both ran inside. I ran into her bathroom and the first thing I saw was the bright red mirror. I read it aloud. "Niall, I know savannah called you. I know she predicted this. But leave me here. You know I love you. But please do what I couldn't. " "I can read douch bag." "Can we go one minute without this miserable bitchfest?! Megan is dying! Do you not get that this is about her? Not you!" He was speechless. Wow. That's a first. I kneeled down to Megan, who was laying on the ground. I picked her up bridal style and began to carry her to my car when I heard harry behind me. "Oh what did I do?" He whispered. I turned around. "Harry this isn't your fault." "These are my fault!" He screamed as he shoved the bottle of depression pills in my face. "Harry this is no time for a tantrum. Please let's go." "Niall please don't do this." I hear her say. I look down and see Megan, now wide awake, looking back at me. "I can't let you die." "But I want to die!" She screamed. "My life is a living hell! I don't want to live another day in this hellhole!" Her voice was very hoarse. I wanted to do what she asked, but I didn't want to loose her more.

It was all going by so fast, the next thing I knew, me and harry were in the hospital talking to the doctor. Megan was being rolled away on a gurney and the doctor was asking us questions. "Does mrs gentles have any medical issues? Allergies of any kind?" It all happened so fast, and I didn't even know it had come out, it wasn't supposed to. "She's pregnant." I say urgently. I glanced over to see harry standing motionless behind us. Tears were in his eyes. I forgot he didn't know. "Look harry I'm really sor..." "Doctor you have to save her. You have to save my baby." Now I was the one who stopped. "Oh god." I said under my breath. "Harry thinks it's his."

Harry's POV:
"Niall did you say something?" He didn't say anything, just stood there motionless. "What's wrong Niall? Look I know you've kinda liked her in the past but you need to be happy for us." "I am happy for her." "Us." I corrected. "Yeah." He said weakly. He looked like he was hiding something. But I decided to just brush it off. It was Megan I was worried about, I didn't have time to worry about him.

Niall looked very sad for the remainder of the night. "What's wrong?" He wouldn't talk to me. "Look, you don't need to act so wounded. I mean did it not occur to you that it's mine?" A few seconds passed. "Hello? Are you gonna answer me? Look I've said I'm sorry. You just have to get over the fact that it's mine. You have to get over the fact that she still loves me." "It's not yours harry."

Niall's POV:
The room went silent. Even the strangers looked at me. All eyes were on me, I could tell, but I refused to look up from the ground. It was somewhat embarrassing. "Your lying." He said. "Your just jealous of me." "Think what you want. But what you want isn't always what's right." Now he was the speechless one. He sat still on his seat, thinking deeply about my words. "Harry I'm sorry she didn't tell you. I really am sorry." It didn't feel right saying sorry to him. A few seconds passed and I finally looked into his eyes. "You know what? I don't feel bad for you." "Excuse me?" "I would feel worse for the kid that would have to call you dad." As soon as the words came out of my mouth, I was already out of the door.
