There's Someone Always Watching
Chapter Thirty One
Tessa's POV
"May I speak to you, Tessa?" Niall's head peeked through the door of my room. I had been released from the infirmary a week ago, and I had basically refused to see Niall or speak to him. I had given Niall's diary to one of the maids to put back, and hopefully, they did.
"I suppose so, Niall," I sighed, closing the book I had previously been reading. Niall came and sat in a wooden chair in front of my bed. We sat there in silence for a moment.
"I'm sorry..." He mumbled. I rolled my eyes.
"There's no need to apologize, Niall. You just almost killed me, but no, nothing to worry about. Now that I'm basically dead," I retorted.
"I'm guessing you already know about that..."
"Yes, Jessica told me," I said. He nodded, keeping his head down.
"Please know I didn't mean to. It's just...you can't fight the Urges. I tried my best, I wish I would've told you in advance, by that would have been odd."
"Do you think it is not now," I ask him. "We are apparently bonded together and I get no say! You've basically branded me, with this bite!"
Niall's eyes clashed with hurt. "I see," he says. He stands up to leave, going to the door. He opens it.
"Niall," I call after him. I get up. He walks faster, but I reach him quickly.
"Niall, that's not what I meant." His eyes flash again with sadness, but then go to their angry state.
"No," he says. "That is exactly what you meant." He shakes me off before turning and running away.
You are welcome
