Bad News from Britian

Chapter 11

The rest of the week I drove Harry to and from school like he asked me to. He had to wait after school for me because of my cheer practices, which I felt bad about it. He told me, not to worry about it and that he didn't mind and that he found a way to watch the practices without anyone knowing. I don't know if I actually believe that or not because he never says anything about stuff that happens during but I still find myself feeling nervous and more self-conscious and I've ended up working harder then I usually do at practices.

The car rides have become less awkward between Harry and I. He flirted quite often, I tried not to return it but most of the time it just came out of me. It's the way he does, makes it hard not flirt back. I'm usually not a very flirty person but something about him brings it out of me.

It was Thursday, and I just got done with practice. I was walking out with Tessa, and I started to look for Harry, so we could leave. I found him in his usual place, "You ready to leave?" I asked, when I got to him.

"Yeah." He said gathering up his stuff. We walked outside into the cold and toward my car.

We were putting our bags in the trunk when I asked, "Do you wanna go to Starbucks or something?"

He gave me a surprised smirk, "Sure, I didn't know you were a Starbucks kind of girl."

"I drink it on occasion, it's just I'm really tired and I have a lot of homework to do tonight and the caffeine in the coffee helps me focus." I said with a smile, we were in the car now.

When we got there, we got out and ordered our coffees, and decided to drink them here for a bit. It was quite busy for this time of the day. I found us a place to sit, while. Harry waited for our drinks. Since it was crowded he might be waiting longer then usual.

I got lucky and found a good table in the back to sit at. I sat down and got my phone out. When I heard someone behind me say "Hey you know it's a little cold to be in shorts."

I looked up and saw a tall guy with dark hair and dark blue eyes looking down at with a slight smirk. He had looked about my age maybe a year or two older, and he was really cute. I had forgotten I was still in my shorts from practice. "I just came from practice and forgot to put pants on over them." I said sheepishly.

He laughed, and said "It's fine just a strange thing to see when it's 25 degrees outside. I then noticed that he had a British accent, just like Harry. This took me by surprise, I never thought I would know one British person let alone 5 and now I was meeting another one.

He gave. Me another strange look, "So what are you doing here alone with no coffee?" He asked.

"Oh no I'm not alone, my friend is getting the coffee for the both of us. While I picked the table." I said motioning toward the counter.

"Oh okay, so what were you doing?" He asked, eagerly trying to see what was on my phone. Who was this guy and why was he so interested in me.

I turned my screen off before he could see anything. The weird sudden interest on what I was doing, seemed kinda creepy considering I don't even know him. He was just a stranger who was talking to me in Starbucks. He went for being charming to weird.

This struck a bit of concern in the back of my brain, what was taking Harry so long. I knew that it was take longer then usual but this was longer then expected.

I looked over and saw Harry approaching us with the coffee in both of his hands. He saw the back of the strange boy's head, and looked at me confused, then he looked back at him, you could see that he was trying to hide the jealousy in his eyes. Then his eyes got wide with shock as he grew closer, and then stopped and said through his teeth, "Jordan."

Jordan turned around, responding to his name. "Harry! Long time no see!" He said with fake enthusiasm in his voice. He had a cruel smile in his face. He then turned to me and said "I didn't know that you knew Harry!"

It was obvious the there was bad blood between them by the way they were glaring at each other.
Harry was slowly moving in front of me, as if in a protective manner. He seemed to try to do it subtly by handing me my coffee to me. I looked up at him, his eyes were hard and dark. His body language was tense and his muscles were ready to jump at any moment. What had happened between them.

Cautiously I took my coffee from Harry, "Maybe we should go?" I said quietly to him, I didn't know what would happen next and frankly I didn't want to wait and find out.

He wasn't looking at me anymore, his eyes were now glaring at Jordan. They were both watching each other intently. I glanced around and saw a few people staring with intrigued expressions about what was gonna happen but not many we were in the back and it was less crowded back here.

"I see you've got a new friend." Jordan said glancing at me with a smirk.

"Leave her out of this Jordan, if you know what's good for you!" Harry said his voice getting louder causing more attention.

"What do you not want her to know about that night with Ava and how you-"

"Shut up!" Harry almost growled cutting him off. He clenched his fists as if he trying hard to not to punch him, and trying to stay calm, but failing.

"Harry," I said again, I pulled on his arm trying to get his attention. "Harry, let's just go."

He finally turned to me, giving me his attention. "Yeah okay." He said with less intensity in voice but it was still there.

Relieved that he was willing to go, I grabbed my purse and started toward the door. Jordan was in the way making sure we weren't able to get out. "She and everyone else will find out about that eventually." He said his voice was steady and calm but you could hear the his threatening tone. He then looked down at me. "It was nice to meet you, I hope we meet again."

Harry was standing in front of me, and I hid behind him. The way he spoke to me made me uneasy, and how Harry tensed up, when he saw him.

He smirked at my reaction and moved out of the way. Harry grabbed my arm and pulled me with him to the door. I didn't object to his quick pace, I didn't want to be in there anymore.

When we got in the car, Harry relaxed more but his face showed how worked up he was. I handed him his coffee, "Here this might help."

He mumbled, "Thanks." and drank a big sip from it.

I started the car and left. As we made our way home, Harry tried to make it look like nothing happened for my sake but I could tell that it bothered him. The worst part of it is that I don't even really know what happened. All I knew was some guy that Harry knows came in and basically threatened him because of something he did. I don't know what he did but it had something to do with this girl Ava.

I don't know he will tell me what happened, my best guess is that he won't, but I also know if I asked about it that I would probably get him worked up again and he still wouldn't tell me. So I didn't really say much of anything the rest of the drive home, I glanced at him every so often, worrying about him. I mainly don't contemplated if asking him was a good idea or not.

When we finally got back, I locked the doors before he could get out, deciding then to ask him.

He looked at me with annoyance, knowing what I was about to ask him.
