There's No Such Thing As Too Young
Can You Feel My Heart
"Zayn, where are you taking me?" Drella asked from the passenger seat on my car, with a blindfold over her eyes.
"It's a surprise." I simply replied, noticing we didn't have much further to drive.
"Tell me."
"No, I've already told you it's a surprise."
"I have a right to know if it concerns my well-being."
"Too bad."
"Zayn."
"Drella."
The bickering continued for another few minutes, before I reached our destination, stopping the car and helping my girlfriend out of it.
"Are we on grass?" She asked, holding onto my arm tightly.
"Yeah."
I guided her slightly further, before stopping.
I pulled away and stepped behind her, untying the knot but not letting the blindfold drop away from her eyes.
"Are you ready?" I asked her, smiling.
"Yeah." As the words fell past her lips, I dropped the material, letting her see where we were.
She gasped.
"Zayn." She cried, falling to her knees in front of the grave.
I fell beside her, pulling her to me.
I brought Drella to her Grandmothers grave, hoping that it would help today.
She delicately ran her fingers over the words on the headstone, tracing each individual letter.
"How did you find it?" She asked quietly, still focusing on her Grandmother.
"Emily told me."
"Did you put these flowers here?" She asked me, touching the bouquet of vibrant plants.
"Yeah, I stayed and had a little chat with her yesterday morning. I told her that we'd be visiting, and I told her how much you missed her."
"She should still be here."
"I know, Baby, I know." I said, holding her close to my side.
I continued to comfort her as she spent at the grave, talking to her Grandmother like she was really here.
I wished she was.
I hated seeing the girl I love hurting.
Wait, love?
Where the hell did that come from?
Notes
Next Chapter will be longer. I just needed a booster of where I'm going with this story.
I know this is kinda an old story, but I'm just now reading it and I love it! Great work!
