There's No Such Thing As Too Young

I've Broken Bones For You, And For Only You

*Zayn's POV*

Sometime later, after the whole fiasco in the shower, Drella and I were lay in her bed.

She was lying on her stomach, with her head on my arm.

I'd lifted her shirt up her back, exposing the milky skin as I stroked it gently.

I was trying to keep her as relaxed as possible.

I never imagined myself dressing her wounds.

I'd never done it before.

Her stomach and ribcage was covered in white gauze.

Some of the inflicted wounds were nasty.

Well, they were all nasty but some were quite deep.

If she was managing to harm herself under my watchful eye, what was she doing when I was on tour?

I was concerned about her state of mind.

"Are you looking forward to tomorrow?" Drella asked me, resting her chin on my chest.

"I guess so, I've spent my last Three birthdays on tour." I told her, brushing her damp hair from her face.

"You're getting old."

"I knew you were going to say something like that." I chuckled.

"I couldn't help myself, you had it coming." She giggled, kissing my chin.

"You're mean to me, did nobody ever tell you to respect your elders? By the way, when does your school vacation start?" I wondered.

"Emily and I break up on Monday, we're not even going in." She muttered.

"Why not?" I frowned.

"Because it's a pointless day, we only piss around all day."

"That's fine, I guess."

Just as Drella went to reply, my phone vibrated from the night stand.

Drella sat up so I could grab it, and now rested her head on my bare shoulder.

I unlocked my phone and saw it was a text from Louis.

Drella was reading it over my shoulder.

From: Louis
Received: 6:34
Birthday meal at Tabasca tomorrow night! It's all organized, I'll drop Emily off at Drella's tomorrow afternoon so they can get ready together.

To: Louis
Sent: 6:35
Okay, we're in.

"Meal?" Drella asked quietly.

"Don't panic, you don’t have to eat anything. But, you have to have something before we leave. I don't want you drinking on an empty stomach." I informed her, setting my phone down.

"Will I even be able to drink?"

"Yeah, you'll be fine with me. Louis and I will get yours and Emily's drinks, no problem." I shrugged, lifting my arm to wrap it around her shoulders.

She cuddled into me, dragging her finger down my chest to the tattoo on my stomach.

"What do you want for dinner?" I asked.

"Sandwiches." She said after a moment on thinking.

"Good girl." I praised, kissing her forehead.

I took her hand and we made our way downstairs, and into the kitchen.

Drella took a seat at the counter as I washed my hands, preparing to make her some food.

"Hey, you know what I just realized?" I asked Drella, buttering some bread.

"What?" She replied, picking Dimi up and cuddling her to her chest.

"You leave school in May, right?"

"Yeah, why?"

"We'll make our relationship public then."

"But I'm not Eighteen until next November, people will freak out!" Drella exclaimed, shaking her head.

"They won't know your age, baby." I reminded her, getting some cheese out of the fridge to put on the bread.

"People who like the band, who are friends from school will! Oh god, you're going to get arrested!" Drella panicked, holding her head in her hands.

"Hey, I'm not going to get arrested. Stop fretting! Anyway, it's not like it's anyone’s business as to who I date." I soothed, cutting the sandwich in half and placing it on a plate.

I took it over to where Drella was sitting and placed it down in front of her, rubbing her tense shoulders.

"Eat up." I murmured.

I started to clean up, deciding not to make myself anything to eat as I wasn't hungry right now.

I could feel Drella's eyes on me as I finished tidying up, so I turned back to her.

I sighed, knowing what her problem was.

"I'm going." I assured her, holding my hands up as I left the room.

Drella absolutely loathed eating in front of anyone, and had to eat in a room where there wasn't anyone around.

It was a big problem.

I was biting my nails when I heard Drella pad into the living room where I was sat.

I must have been sat there for a good Twenty minutes just thinking.

She brushed past my legs, taking a seat on the other side of the sofa.

She rested her head against the cushion and gazed at me.

I gazed back and pulled her legs into my lap, pushing up her plaid pajama pants.

I stroked her calves, rubbing my fingers over the faded scars she had on them, I noticed she also had scars on the tops of her feet.

I'd never noticed them before.

I was shocked to be honest, she must have been feeling awful at one point if she was self-harming on her feet.

"I'm worried about you, you know?" I whispered to Drella.

"You don't need to be." She murmured, sighing.

"I have reasons to be, Drella."

"Like?"

"You're starving yourself, you're harming yourself and once you told me that you wanted to kill yourself." I listed, remembering the day that I caught Drella with a handful of Tylenol in the bathroom, and I have to wrestle the pills out of her hand, she was crying heavily and blurted out to me that she didn't want to be here anymore.

"I'm fine, Zayn." She grumbled, rubbing her forehead.

"You're not fine, Drella." I sighed.

"Can we stop talking about this, please?" She begged, I could see she was getting upset again.

"Of course, babe." I agreed, rubbing her legs again.

Drella closed her eyes contentedly.

"Hey, baby?" I grinned, an idea popping to my head.

"Yeah?"

"Where do you keep your nail polish?"

"In a purple box in the closet.." She answered, eyeing me weirdly.

I clapped and stood up quickly, darting out of the room and upstairs.

I rushed into Drella's room and into the closet, scanning the space for what she told me.

I grinned when I found it, opening the box and looking at the colors in the bottles.

I found a bright green one, and a clear topcoat.

I shoved the box back onto a shelf and made my way downstairs.

Drella looked at me as I entered the room again, plopping back by her and pulling her feet back into my lap.

"You're seriously painting my nails?" Drella laughed.

"Yep!"

I opened the one bottle and got to work, leaning slightly and sticking my tongue out as I concentrated.

Drella leaned over to get my IPhone from the coffee table, unlocking it.

I wondered what she was doing until I saw a flash.

"That's on Instagram now." Drella giggled, showing me the picture with the caption 'Best boyfriend! #pampered'.

"I am the best boyfriend!" I exclaimed, painting the clear topcoat over the top.

"Well..." Drella started, obviously joking with me.

Once I was done I admired my work, leaning back.

"Thank you." Drella said, nudging me.

"You're welcome, lovebug." I replied, reaching for her hands.

Awesome fanfic! I honestly at first thought I wasn't going to enjoy it but now if has been the one that I have became addicted to. I was really happy about the ending and everything about the last few chapters. I think my favourite part was when Zayn busted up Megan and her group pretty badly, and then all if the last chapter. I am very sad to see this fanfic go but it will always be one of my favourites like I said. So anyway.....I expect to see more great stories in the future!!!!

This was amazing. Truly amazing. Great job!
