There's No Such Thing As Too Young

I'm Just A Boy With A Dream

*Zayn's POV*

Waking up the next morning, Drella wasn't next to me like I expected.

Which was weird, because I was always up first.

I yawned and stretched, letting my eyes adjust to the light as I got out of bed.

I grabbed myself some clean clothes from one of Drella's drawers, noticing they smelt like her detergent, not that I had a problem with it.

I made my way to her bathroom, cleaning myself up.

I brushed my teeth thoroughly and washed my face over.

I pulled off my boxers, and replaced them with clean ones.

I then proceeded to pull on some skinny jeans, a sweatshirt and some socks, I also shoved a beanie on my head.

I then dumped my dirty boxers in the laundry basket, knowing that Drella would be on my case if I refused to let her wash them.

I sprayed myself with some of her body spray, not caring that it was vanilla scented, it smelt delightful and it reminded me of her.

I exited the bathroom, feeling refreshed and ready for the day.

I jogged down the stairs, skidding into the kitchen where I was met by the sight of Drella.

She was perched on the counter, sipping on a glass of water as she read a book.

She looked up as I entered the kitchen, smiling at me.

She was wearing some shorts, tights and a thick, maroon sweater, also with one of my beanies on her head.

She hadn't done her make up yet, and she still managed to look beautiful and radiant.

"Morning, beautiful." I greeted, giving her a quick kiss.

"Morning, sleeping beauty." She replied, placing her glass down next to her.

She looked me over for a second, before sniffing and pulling me closer by my sweater.

She inhaled again and narrowed her eyes.

"Have you used my body spray?"

"No?" I questioned, shooting her an innocent look as I sipped on her water.

"You smell like a girl." She giggled, shaking her head and returning to her book.

"Whatcha' reading?" I asked, leaning next to her.

"Romeo and Juliet." She answered, not looking up.

"Cool, you're my Juliet." I told her, pecking her cheek and tucking her hair behind her ear.

"I guess that makes you my Romeo." She laughed, bookmarking her page and setting the novel down.

"I have a few things to do today." I informed her, pushing her legs apart and standing between them.

"Like what?" She pouted, wrapping her arms around my neck and playing with the hair that was escaping my beanie.

"Don't pull that face, you know I hate leaving you. I need to take my shit home and then pop to see my Mom, then we can go and go shopping later on probably."

"When will you be back?" She asked.

"In about Two hours, I'm only popping in to show my face."

"Okay, I'll be fully ready when you get back."

"I'll see you soon, I love you." I spoke, kissing her again as I grabbed my keys from the side.

"Bye!" She shouted.

I threw my suitcases into the trunk of my car, actually happy to be driving it again.

My car is my baby, next to Drella of course.

After dropping my suitcases off home, greeting the guys, grabbing some clean clothes to take to Drella's and putting some laundry in the washing machine, I made my way to my parents’ house.

When I pulled into the driveway, I noticed that my Dad's car wasn't in the driveway, signifying that he was at work.

I was a little disappointed as I wanted to see him, but I brushed it off and opened the front door.

Mom didn't care about me knocking, I did live here as a kid after all.

"Mommy! Your favorite child is here!" I called out, kicking my shoes off.

"Which one of my daughters?!" She asked jokingly, a huge grin on her face as she appeared before me.

I pouted at her reply and she laughed as she pulled me into an embrace.

"I'm messing with you, baby boy! I've missed you loads! Come and sit down, we'll have a chat!" She said, giving me a huge kiss on my forehead and pulling me into the living room.

It was safe to say I was a huge Mommy's boy.

We plopped onto the sofa and she pulled me into her arms.

I cuddled up to her like I was Five again, I had no shame.

I appreciated and savored every minute with my Mom, she meant the world to me.

"How was tour?"

"It was great, Mom! So many girls came out to the shows, and it was so amazing getting to see so many new places!" I exclaimed.

"I'm glad you had a good time! Anyway, I spoke to Harry on the phone to other day..." She trailed off.

"And?"

"He told me about this girlfriend of yours, he says you're getting rather serious with her. I don't even know her name, Zayn! Please let me meet her!" She begged.

"Mom!" I whined, sitting up.

I felt like I was in high school again, she always grilled me about who I was dating.

She'd been curious about Drella ever since I told her I had started dating her.

"You've let me meet all your other girlfriends! What's so different about this one?" She asked, petting my head.

"Ugh.."

"Is it because she's not really a girl? You can tell me if you're gay, Zayn! I won't judge you!"

"I'm not gay, Mom! She's a girl! I can assure you!"

"Then why won't you let me meet her?"

"She's different, Mom. She's not like the others, I really love her. I haven't felt like this since ..." I trailed off, not wanting to talk about my psychotic past girlfriend.

"I'm so pleased that you've found someone. You know, I always thought it would be Louis who would be the first to give grandchildren." Mom commented casually.

My breath caught in my throat.

"Mom! We're not that serious! Not yet anyway!" I exclaimed, looking at her with wide eyes.

"Calm down! I'm just saying, you've found a girl and you're getting older." She defended.

"Hey! I'm only turning twenty one!"

"I know, don't get so offended! I have your present by the way, it's nothing much, you're so hard to buy for. I swear, I may as well just buy you a packet of cigarettes and you'd be happy." She muttered, getting up and walking to the cupboard located across the room.

"I actually haven't been smoking that much, I've cut down." I told her and she looked at me in surprise, coming back to me with a small gift and card in her hand.

"Really? Why's that?"

"I just don't feel the need to smoke when I'm with Drella, she takes the edge off the craving." I shrugged, taking the items from her.

"That's her name?" Mom asked, and I cursed myself for letting it slip.

I sighed.

"Yes, it is."

"Will I ever get to meet her, Drella? I know your Dad wants to do so too!"

"You will when the time is right, it's all a bit complicated right now." I sighed, rubbing my neck.

I stood up and stretched.

"Are you leaving already?" Mom wondered, I nodded.

"I need to get back to Drella, we're going shopping today."

"Aw!" Mom giggled and I rolled my eyes as I pulled on my shoes.

"Stop, Mom! I'm not Sixteen anymore!" I laughed, shaking my head.

"You're still my little boy!" She spoke, pulling me into a hug.

"I'll see you soon, Mom." I told her, kissing her cheek and opening the front door.

She waved me off as I pulled out of the driveway, and she continued to do so until I was out of sight.

I shook my head and grinned.

My Mom was impossible sometimes.

Soon, I was back at Drella's.

"Baby! I'm back!" I called as I stood at the bottom of the wooden staircase.

"I'm upstairs!" She replied, I jogged upstairs, hearing the floorboards creak beneath my weight.

I found her in the bedroom, sat on the bed as she lined her eyes with eyeliner.

I dumped my bag and climbed onto the bed next to her.

I watched her as she applied mascara, making her eyelashes even longer than they already were.

Why do girls take so much time to do their make up?

"Babe, hurry up." I whined, leaning my head against her back.

"I'm almost done." She laughed, hurrying to add some last touches to her face make up.

"I don't know why you wear this shit, you don't need it." I commented, picking up some lip balm.

"It makes me feel better." She replied, rolling her eyes as I applied some to my lips.

"What? Singers can have soft lips too!" I defended.

"Come on, girl scout. Let's go!" She said, getting up and grabbing some shoes.

"Woo!" I yelled, excited.

I'd always loved looking for new things.

I carried Drella all the way to my car.

She giggled and pushed me away, getting in the car.

I skipped to my side and got in too.

The radio flicked on as I started the car, playing some Lana Del Ray. Summertime Sadness.

I sang along, causing Drella to have a laughing fit.

I'd do anything for her to smile, and she knew it.

I moved my hand over the console, resting it between her knees.

Drella looked at me and smiled, stroking my knuckle tattoos with her skinny fingers.

She was the most amazing thing to walk into my life.

Awesome fanfic! I honestly at first thought I wasn't going to enjoy it but now if has been the one that I have became addicted to. I was really happy about the ending and everything about the last few chapters. I think my favourite part was when Zayn busted up Megan and her group pretty badly, and then all if the last chapter. I am very sad to see this fanfic go but it will always be one of my favourites like I said. So anyway.....I expect to see more great stories in the future!!!!

This was amazing. Truly amazing. Great job!
