Once in a lifetime

When I ran out, I expected to hear Harry after me. I didn't. Relieved, I started toward my car. But then I realized; Harry had picked me up from work. And that means I do not have a ride. "Stupid, cheating bastard." I grumbled under my breath. Then he came out, on cue. He must have been watching me through the kitchen window. "Go away, creep." I said, glaring at him. He chuckled. "Need a ride?" "Shut up." "I'll take that as a yes." Harry suddenly grabbed me and threw me over his shoulder. "Harry Edward Styles! Put me down right now!" "No thanks, I'll pass on that option."

"You cheeky bastard." I said. "I'll take that as I compliment." Harry chuckled again and put me down. But, before I had a chance to escape, he grabbed me around the waist. I gave up. Harry opened the door and bowed. "Your ride, miss." Just like on our first date. When I didn't move he nudged me. I sighed and went in. I wish I had the foresight to go home after work. Ring ring ring ring.

My thoughts were interrupted by Harry's phone ringing. Because he was driving, he turned it on speaker. "Hey, Nikki babe," He said. "Hi Hazza! Where are you?" "Driving a friend home. I dropped him off at work, and he needs a ride back." By the way he emphasized 'he', I could tell that Harry wanted me to stay silent and pretend I was a guy. The nerve. Nikki seemed to be his girlfriend, though, and I was just glad I wasn't her. "So, we still on for tonight, Hazz?" "Yup." "At eight, right?" "Yup…" "Oh-kaaaayyy! Bye babe!" Beeeeeep. I reached over and ended the call. "She sounds like the best girlfriend ever." "You're just jealous." Harry tweaked my cheek. "Ehhh! Hey! Hands on the wheel, Romeo." I ducked when he reached for my nose again. He laughed and started tickling me. "Harry! Haha…hands on the…haha…wheel! Hahahaha!" He grinned, his dimples showing.

But then I couldn't see them.
