Overworked

Harry’s P.O.V
“God you’re whipped mate.” Niall said when I got back into the studio. I know I am.
“That’s what happens when you’re married with three kids.” I sighed sitting down. Zayn was recording some of his solos in the booth.
“It’s so weird. We all have wives and kids now. I never thought we’d still be going.” Liam said.
“Neither did I. But we’ve just stayed so close that I don’t think we could stop.” Louis added. I agreed with them.
“Was Maddie mad at you when you told her you were working again today?” Niall asked.
“She said she wasn’t but I think she was. She refused to have sex with me.”
“Why would she want to anyway?” Louis smirked and I just glared at him.
“When I got in yesterday the first thing Brooke said was mum said you might have another baby. It was really surprising. I thought Maddie was done with kids after what she went through with Lis.”
“So did I. El’s done with just the twins!” Louis added. I turned to Liam.
“I think Dani is happy with just Leah for now.”
“Same with Belle.” Niall said.
“Why did you let her take Drew to America?”
“I wasn’t going to stop her, she was going to visit family and let’s face it I can’t really look after a three year old whilst I’m working, can I?” He replied. We all nodded.
“Leah’s six soon, it’s gone so fast!”
“You think it’s gone fast, Brooke is 11!” I said.
“That’s scary. You and Maddie have been together for 12 years.” Louis said as Zayn walked out of the booth. It makes me feel really happy when people remind me that. I have a beautiful wife and 3 beautiful children, I couldn’t be any luckier.
“What did I miss?” Zayn asked.
“Not much, just talking about kids.” Liam told him.
“Oh right, who’s up for the pub? We’re done now.” He answered. Louis and I ruled ourselves out.
“Won’t Pez get mad with you for not helping her with George?”
“She can get mad then.”
“What? Have you had an argument?”
“Yeah… She told me I’m a shit dad and never help her so I’m going to prove her point.” He explained.
“She was probably just pissed off. Do something nice for her; she’s just had a baby.” I pointed out.
“Well she still told me I’m a shit dad. Maddie has never told you that.”
“Oh really? She’s told me loads of times. I’m the worst dad in the world don’t worry.”
“No you’re not! I am! I’ve managed to piss my wife off already. He won’t stop crying when I hold him and then Perrie takes him and he’s fine. He hates me and so does she.”
“Nah they don’t. Come on, I’ll take you home.” I took my keys out of my pocket. We went to my car and I drove him home. I watched as Perrie ran out of the house and hugged Zayn.
“I’m so sorry. I love you so much.” She kissed him.
“I love you too.” He said and I smiled and drove home. As I pulled into the driveway the kids ran out of the house. I parked my car and got out.
“Daddy!!” Lis shouted. I laughed and picked her up.
“Hey gorgeous, come on guys.” I locked my car and shuffled the kids into the house. Maddie looked exhausted. “Have you been giving mummy a hard time?” I looked at the kids. They all shook their heads and Maddie laughed.
“Ha! You liars.” She said. I suggested that the kids go and play some games and went into the living room with them to allow Maddie to rest. I put Lis down and she ran to join Brooke and Adam at the xbox.
“I want to play Barbie!” She shouted.
“No! FIFA!” Adam shouted back.
“Urgh, why can’t we play something good?” Brooke said. Adam argued with her over FIFA for a few minutes and then went back to searching through the games again. He held one up and the girls cheered.
“After 10 minutes of arguing over a game you finally found one.” I said. They laughed and put the game in. I went to Maddie and she was sitting at the table on her laptop. I looked at her more closely and she had tears running down her face. I hate seeing her like this. No doubt it was some stupid article upsetting her. For 12 years, the press have killed my wife. I sat next to Maddie. “What’s the matter?” I asked and she turned the laptop to me. Yep, just like I thought. An article.
“Maddie Styles has confirmed that she’s going to be doing a worldwide tour for two months later this year. Tickets have already been released and she will begin touring in 2 months. The announcement took many by surprise as no one ever thought the mum of three would ever leave her children behind but she’s going to, and soon.”
I hate these things. I hugged Maddie and she just cried more in my arms. “I don’t want to leave Harry. They’ll hate me. You’ll hate me.” She said.
“They will never hate you and neither will I. You have to do this baby. We love you and understand you have to do this. We’ll be with you every step of the way, we’ll come and visit when the kids are on holiday and we’ll talk every day. You’re not going to miss much.” I told her.
“I love you Harry.” She kissed me and wiped her tears.
“I love you too babe.” I said. I heard the kids arguing and walked into the living room. Brooklyn and Adam were fighting again. I pulled Adam off of Brooke.
“Why do you two always fight? Your mum has had it up to here with you two!” I held a hand above my head. “She has to leave soon so is there any chance that you could get along with each other for her? She’s really upset that she has to leave and you’re going to upset her even more! Go to your rooms!” I shouted. They both stood back and ran upstairs. Melissa looked scared of me and ran upstairs too. Maddie walked into the living room with her mouth wide open. Here comes the lecture.
“What the fuck was that for? You’ve just scared them now.” She said. I can’t win. She shook her head and walked upstairs.
