My Secret

Max's P.O.V

I turned the knob for the shower, making sure it was a hot one. I stood in front of the mirror, staring at what was laid before me on the sink counter. I took my toothbrush, put paste on it, and brushed my teeth. By the time I was done, the mirror was fogged up, telling me I could go into the shower. I undressed and stepped into the shower.
*After Shower*
Once I was all done drying up, I put my pajamas on and headed for the kitchen. I pulled out some cookie dough, don't ask why I have cookie dough laying around my fridge I just do, and started making cookies. I put them into the oven and set the timer. I walked out of my house and into my backyard and laid on one of the pool chairs. I looked up at the nights sky, the stars twinkling at me. The wind blew every now and then, bringing some cool air to my warm skin. It seemed like I was the only one in the world right now, it was so quiet. Except for the noise that came from the living room. I closed my eyes, listening too the crickets, frogs, and other animals lurking out in the dark. "Nice night out." I opened my eyes to see Zayn taking a seat by me. "Yeah, it is. It's peaceful out here." He nodded, "Max, can I talk to you?" I nodded, but it was an unsure one. "You and, Liam. What's going on between you two?" That was a good question. What was going on between us besides the kissing and secrets, what laid before us? "I.. I don't know. We kissed and stuff, but I don't know." I sighed, squeezing my eyes shut. "Seems like you two need to figure it out before you guys get too serious." "Yeah, I suppose I ought' to bring it up some time soon." "Mm, Good idea!" I laughed, "I think so too!" "Max?" "Mm?" "Please, don't break his heart. Please." I looked at Zayn, sorrow filled his eyes. "Never in a million years." He got up and started walking, "Thanks." How could I break his heart? I mean, I could see how he would break my heart but not the other way around. Oh well, I guess I have questions to ask him later. The timer for the cookies went off, so I ran and popped the cookies out. I set up plates and cups and put the cookies on the plates and milk in the cups. I picked up the plates and went into the living room to serve them.

"OH. MY. GOD! MAX, YOU ARE THE BEST!" I giggled as Niall took his cookies and milk with rush. "Thank you!" Everyone started chomping away but I held back and nibbled on mines. Ivory gave me a curious look but I ignored it. I guess I wasn't hungry, or something is bothering me. I don't know, strange. I felt like I was about to hurl so I stood up and ran to the nearest bathroom. I heard footsteps running behind me but I just ran faster. I finally came upon a toilet, so I hurled my guts out. I groaned, cramps started to form where they USUALLY would. I heard Liam whisper to Ivory, "Is she, pregnant?" My eyes widened, and I chucked a hairbrush at his arm. I wanted to talk but instead I hurled in the toilet again. "No, it's her time of the month. She always forgets." "Oh, makes sense." Ivory walked away and a couple minutes later came back with pills. "Take em'." I popped the cap and took two pills, without water. I stood up shakily and almost lost my balance when Liam put his arm underneath me and carried me bridal style to the living room. "Are you okay?" Liam asked. I tried to talk but I couldn't so instead I shrugged. I pointed to my cookies but Ivory objected, so I pouted for what seemed like ten minutes. "Fine! You can have them! Now stop pouting!" I smiled in victory, Liam handed me my cookies and milk and I nodded as a thank you. "Why can't you talk?" Harry asked me. I pointed at Ivory, "We honestly don't know. It's like the pills are trying to take over her but her body rejects it. She rather be like this then hurling her guts out." "Oh." "Yeah." For some reason I felt like hurling again so I pointed at the trash can, shaking my arms. They gave me it and I well, you know. "Max, did you take them? Two of them?" I nodded, twice. "Hold on, okay?" I nodded and soon she came in with blood taking supplies. I shook my head furiously, pushing myself away from them. "Please Max?" I shook my head again, still pushing myself back. Liam stood up, and excused himself from the room. Before he dispersed, he looked at me and then left. "Why doesn't she want to do this?" Louis asked. "She used to get tested as a child. They put her in dog cages, starved her, beat her, and put her through obstacles and she passed all of them, but they still shocked her at the end. She managed to escape and find her real family." They stared at me uncomfortably, so I tried to stand up but fell, on my butt, for the second time today. At the corner of my eye I saw Liam peek around the corner to look at me. Ivory came closer to me, "Max, can you trust me?" I nodded. "Okay, Harry and Niall pin her legs. Louis and Zayn pin her arms. I'm sorry, but we need to do this." I started pushing myself back quicker this time, a scared look covered my face. They managed to pin me down, if I wasn't weak right now, I would have knocked them off their asses, that's a promise.

I felt a cold and wet substance rub my arm, probably rubbing alcohol. Then a pain pierced through my skin, draining blood from me. I started shaking my head, tears welling up in my eyes. "Am I hurting you?" I shook my head, I was crying because of the memories it brought back. I finally managed to build my voice up for one sentence. "Please...stop." I managed to croak. My vision was blurry and my face felt cold, for once it felt cold. Ivory held my wrist in her hands, "Guyd, I don't feel her pulse." Someone shook my head, "MAX! WAKE UP! MAX!" I tried to, I honestly tried to. But all I could see was darkness, everywhere. I walked around, trying to find light. Three people came in the "room" with me. The figures came closer to me and I finally saw them. Mum, Dad, and Fang. I ran to them and hugged them. "I missed you guys so much!" Tears welled up in my eyes as I cried tears of joy. "Max, you need to try and go back. Your friends need you, Liam needs you." Mum said. "No, I just got you!" "Maximum, you need to go back baby." I looked up at my Dad. "But, I just got you back." I whispered. Fang gave me a hug, "Love, I know you want to be with us but, Liam... he needs you." I looked at him shocked, but nodded in defeat. "I'll miss you." "We'll miss you too sweetie." We hugged our last hugs and I woke up. I was in my bedroom, a monitor in my room. I tried pulling them out but I someone interuppted me, "Don't take them out." I looked up and saw Louis standing by my doorway. I sighed, but listened to him. "You were, gone, for a couple of hours." I looked up at him, was I really gone that long? DANG! Ivory and the rest of the guys came rushing in. Ivory hugged me tightly, I patted her back and smiled. Liam lifted my chin and pecked my lips, not trying to make it awkward for the others in the room. "Ivory needs to learn how to take blood." I whispered. The guys chuckled while Ivory rocked back and forth embarrassed. "I'm so sorry. I must've hit a vain. Like a major one." I chuckled, "Hmm, I'm not sure. I think you hit a small vain!" I said sarcastically.
