Max's P.O.V
My eyes widened, how is he here!? I thought he was dead! "J..James? I..is that you?" He walked closer to me and sat on the floor besides me. "Hey sis, long time no see. Mind if I ask you a question?" I nodded, uncertain of what's to come. "Why did you run away? What happened? Why didn't you stay with me? I was old enough to take care of you." I sat up and played with my fingers. "I..I can't tell you. I don't like saying this but, I don't know you. I don't know anything about you, so I can't. I'm so, so sorry!" James pulled me into a hug and kissed the top of my forehead. "It's alright, I completely understand. I missed you by the way." We shared a laugh, it was... nice. "So, what brings you here?". "Oh, well, Ivory contacted me and told me everything. I mean everything!" I looked at him quickly, hopefully she didn't tell him about my wings. "What uh, what did she tell you?" James looked at me, sadness in his eyes. "She told me about your, wings. She told me you cut and your depressed. She told me about Fang, how he died." I winced at his last sentence, memories flooding into my brain. "Uh, so, what do you think? I..I'm curious." James rubbed his neck, clearly thinking. "Well, I think wings suit you. I hate the fact that you cut and the same about your depression. And I'm, I'm sorry that he died. I feel like shit not being there for you. Not looking for you enough, and that you feel so much pain. I wish you could be happy, have a family, and forget your worries. Seeing my little sis be in pain is horrible!" I smiled, it was nice someone cared for me besides Ivory. I mean, yeah Liam cares for me, I think. But it's better when your brother cares, it's like you finally did something right. "So are you gonna show me a tour of the house or am I gonna have to myself?" My smile grew wider, I couldn't wait till' he saw the game room. "Sure! Right this way."
