The Exchange.

~~~Hayden's POV~~

"ALRIGHT CLASS! I expect ur assignments done by tomorrow!" My teacher yelled as everyone rushed out of the class. It was the last one of the day.

"mrs. Smith!" She called after me as I made my way out.

"yes?" I walked up to her light colored wooden desk that was stacked high with paper work. Thankgod I'm not a teacher.

"congratulations on your achievement! I'm sure you and your parents are so excited!" I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Umm..what do you meen..I haven't received anything?" I said curiously.

"oh dear. They haven't told you?"

i shook my head. I've heard nothing today. Today was actually a peaceful day since chastity and her minions had iss i got a free card, from the beatings.

"well. Since ur grades are so good and ur attendance is outstanding Uve been offered a full on scholar ship to an exchange program for collage.!" I think my eyes popped out of my head when she said this. I aplyed for it sophomore year and gave up hop when I heard nothing..but I guess the wait was worth it!

I squeeled excitedly as my teacher handed me the form.

Dear miss smith,

we are pleased to inform you we have taken a great liking in your grades and attendance. So it is hear by we offer you a FULL scholar ship to our exchange program. Youre absence from LA will last 1 year, and you will be allowed to study amongst the London university. We are also pleased to inform you that we are willing to give you a full scholar ship to stay at the university if you maintain a good grade and attendance. We are looking forward to hear from you.

my hands were shaking from excitement. I got in...I said under my breath. I looked to my teacher who shared and excited expression.

"I GOT IN!" I jumped in excitement as she rounded the desk pulling me into a hug.

"congrats sweety." I hugged her back skimming the note for a due dat, and departure date.

so I leave the day after the last day of school that's in 1 week! I was so excited I hugged the teacher quickly saying good by as I left.

i ran through the halls stuffing the paper in my back pocket. I made my way around a corner and was right infront of my car when I heard footsteps running behind me.

I turned to see chastitys boyfriend and some of his goons full on charging at me. 'Shit' I muttered. I quickly scrambled into my car and started it. Immediately backing out while Sam beat the front of my car yelling

"get the fuck out! Bitch!" Careful not to hurt him i slammed my gas and drove out of the lot with the guys Comming after the car.

i drove for a few minutes on the small crowded streets of lA before glancing back to see they were gone. I let out a sigh and continued my drive home, with a huge smile plastered on my face.'I got in...'

i pulled into my drive way quickly hopping out of my car and running inside. My mom was home so hopefully she was sober. If not I was screwed.

"mom?" I said as I walked in the house.

my mom was sitting in the kitchen righting somthing.she looked up at me smiling.

"hey Hun!" I ran up to her handing her the letter. Her eyes quickly grazed the letter. Instead of excitement I saw nothing.

"what do you think.! It's great right!?" She shook her head.

"no your staying hear. I'm not sighting that." My heart shattered.

"w-what?"

" I said no. You won't be 18 for 2 more months which men's you need my permission...and i said no."

"but you new I applied for this! You new how excited I was!" I yelled as hot tears filled my eyes.

"I did but I didn't think you'd get it let alone a full scholar ship." Ouch.

" I hate you..." I mumbled looking at the ground.

she stood from her chair and it was evident shed been drinking. The smell burned my eyes but she obviously haven't drinker much because she was hardly tipsy from the alcohol. A sting covered my face sending me to the floor. My eyes widened. I was used to other people and my dad hitting me....but my mom...she never laid a hand on me. As distant as we were I actually liked her because she atleast had decent convos with me and defended me from dad...but now that's gone...

"don't you ever talk to me like that! Go to ur fucking room!" She hissed. She ripped the form and threw it to the floor stepping on it. I screamed for her to stop but she ignored me.

"Go to your room!" She said through gritted teeth.

i backed away shaking my head.
I ran I to my room slamming the door. This isn't fair..the one chance of freedom is gone! I laid in my bed silently for hours just sobbing until I had no more tears. I laid there hiccuping with dry eyes. There's obviously nothing for me in this world...I whispered.

"I have no friends...my mom and dad hate me, yet when I try to rid them of me they forbid it, I'm constantly bullied, I'm ugly, I'm fat, I'm almost 18 and never had a boy friend for gods sake...I'm worthless."
New hot tears burned my face as I whispered thes things.

Maybe I could end it all? Make it go away... I shook my head.NO! Ur not going there Hayden! Don't lower urself to suicide! There's someone out there who needs you as much as you need them! U just need to wait.. My conscious yelled at me.

I still hiccuping, and eyes sore from crying I sat up and switched my tv on. Maybe some tv will help me forget.

this just in! Our hot sensation harry styles from one direction has been caught with a new lady! He was seen hours ago leading a tall blonde into his car from a bar. Looks like the old womanizer is back. Stay tuned to see his next woman!

the tv screamed making me jump and quickly turn it down. I've herd of one direction. I meen who hasent. But I'm not a crazy fan. I just enjoy there music...there's one in particular I can't stand...harry styles...the womanizer. I hate how he treats and degrades woman just to get laid.

my door flung open making me jump. I saw my dad with blood shot eyes and a empty beer bodle in his hand. His face was twisted and he was angry.

" So you hate ur mom?" He said slowly walking to me. He heared...

"n-no..." I said shaking his hand drew bake and whooshed across my face knocking me into the wall. I let out a shriek at the painful impact.

" DONT LIE I HERD U AND UR MOM ARGUING BITCH! NOW I HAVE TO DEEL WITH HER SOBBING!!"

i flinched as he screamed.

a new found courage built in me and I did somthing unexpected. I stood up and yelled

" THEN LET ME FUCKING LEAVE AND GET OUT OF UR DAMN HAIR!"

his is eyes grew. My courage seemed to have ran out the door because I shrunk about ten sizes as he grabbed my neck and slammed me into a wall.

" You wanna leave so bad!? Fine but I want you the fuck out NOW! Take ur shit and go! Ill sighn ur damn papers but I don't ever wanna see ur slutty ass again HEAR ME!" He screams.

i feel tears throb as he punches me to the ground and kicks me a few times. When he's done my body is aching and I'm sure I have hundreds of new bruises.

I lay still groaning and crying. Only looking up when he comes back in. He throws a paper at me and says

"get ur shit and get the fuck out of my house." With that he walks out..

I slowly inch around my room packing as I try to figure out what to do for the nex week.school isn't over till next Friday...

I drag my two suit cases full of my stuff behind me as I leave. My dad is passed out on the couch and my mom is starring at me like she has no clue why I'm sad. I reach for the door to leave.

"please....don't go....don't leave me...." My hand drops as she whispered the words ever so terrified. I drop my things and hug her tightly.

"I love you...bu I need to go...this isn't safe for me..or you! He's dangerous mom why can't you see that..." I whisper. She only shakes her head." Because I love him..and I love you.."

I" how can you love someone who constantly beats and torments your own child that you claim you love? If you loved me you would have left him long ago." I said in tears..

she was silent. " I don't no.." There was shuffling and my dad stood behind her slightly sober.

"let m answer for her..bitch...she meens shit was fine until u were born." My moms eyes grow at his words, while I'm left with a bullet to the chest..that really hurt I won't even lie.

"honey!" She squeals reaching for me.but I pull away.

"thnx for confirming my thoughts...I hope now that I'm gone you can be happy again." I turn to leave As my mom clasps my wrist. Looking at me with pleading eyes. I shut mine and turn walking out of the house listening to my mom sob and my dad tell her bullshit..here I go...in the rain...alone...
