Chapter Three
NIALL'S P.OV
I ran my hands through my hair, putting the picture back into my suitcase (The picture is on the right). I looked around my hotel room, thinking about her again. Maci, that is. "Ni?" I heard a soft voice ask from behind me. I turned around and saw Amy standing at the door of my room, looking concerned for me. "Are you alright?" She asked, coming into the room and walking over to stand infront of me. I rubbed my face and she grabbed me in a hug. "She hates me doesnt she?" I asked and she nodded "More than likely" She laughed, and I chuckled. "I screwed up big time, Am" I sat down on my bed, leaning on my knees. "Yeah, you did. But that doesnt mean you can't fix things" She smiled re asuringly at me and i shook my head, laughing scarcastically.
"She won't even look my way, I dout she will talk to me" I informed her and she shook her head, disaprovingly. "You have to chase her, Ni. That's the fun in all this" She shoved my shoulder and I shrugged. "Plus, she has a boyfriend" I remembered and Amy shrugged. "Like you always say 'Soccer has a goalie-" "-But it doesn't keep the players from scoring" I finnished, thinking of the first time I said that to Maci, when we almost kissed in her boyfriends kitchen. I shook the thought from my head, forgetting about it. "Harry's moved on, why can't I?" I wondered and she smiled sadly at me, sitting down next to me, putting a comforting arm around me.
"You love her, Niall. But, I promise you this... Mark my word... You willl get her back" She smiled and I pulled her into a hug. "Your the best" I smiled and she nodded. "I know it" I laughed at her, getting up and throwing on an old sweatshirt from my bag. "Is that clean?" She scruntched up her nose and I sniffed it and shrugged. "I guess?" She laughed and walked out the door "Your Disgusting, Horan" She yelled.
MACI P.O.V.
I scanned through the CD's in the pile when I felt someone beside me. I peeked up at them, ignoring them for a minute. Hoping they would go away. "What do you want?" I didn't look up from looking through the CD's. "I just wanted to talk to you since you-" "- since I was being immature at the restraunt the other night, right?" I laughed cold-heartily. "That wasn't being immature, Niall" I looked up at him as I found the 'Ed Sheeran' album for Meredith. "Mer still obsessed?" He laughed and I nodded laughing, too. "Yeah" I smiled up at him. "Do you remember when she made us help her put her posters up" He laughed, following me as I went to another Isle to find the 'Red' album. "Oh god, and we had to stay up until 3 in the morning" I laughed with him. I heard my phone ring, looking down at it I saw a text from Chad, bringing me back to reality.
"U-Uh, I have to get going" I picked up my CD and started towards the counter. "Why do you do that?" He asked following me. "Do what?" I asked, turning around, annoyed "Push me away! I mean I'm trying here, Maci" He said sadly. I stayed silent for a while, just looking into his eyes. "It hurts me to think how close we were back then" my eyes started stinging and I looked up, laughing sarcastically. "Because honestly, Niall, You were my best friend and when I lost you I lost my best friend, too" I took a deep breath and swallowed the lump In my throat.
"Maci-" I Stopped him from talking, shaking my head. "Here, That's why I came in here in the first place, take these" He handed over two backstage passes and I gasped. "Oh my god, Niall! You didn't have to do this, I mean i'm glad you did bu-" He laughed, cutting me off. "I know, but I wanted to" He smiled and I pulled him into a hug. He was surprised at first, but eventually wrapped his arms around my waist tightly. I pulled back after I got uncomfortable and smiled at him again. "Thank you, Mer is going to love you" I laughed and started for the counter to pay for my CD's. "Thank You" I smiled at the cashier as we walked out to my car.
"So, are you going to be their?" I crossed my arms smiling at him. "I may" He shrugged "I don't want to ruin your time, though" He laughed and I looked down. "You wouldn't ruin my night" I kicked at the ground and He looked surprised. "I mean, It will take some time but I want to go back to how we were Niall" I smiled and he did too.
"I mean, were grown up's now, not immature teenagers. We can be civil" and he agreed. "Right. And you've obviously moved on" He looked sad and I nodded. "Niall, You have to understand that were not getting back together" I said, sternly. "I get it, You've found someone and I respect that" He smiled and I nodded. "I'll see you around" I smiled and he stuffed his hands in his pockets, before I drove off, waving to him.
