Best Thing I Never Had - Sequel to 'Skinny love'

I stretched my arms above my head, feeling around the bed for Chad. When I didn't feel him I slung my legs over the bed and throwing the covers off me. A cold chill ran up my bare legs. I was only wearing his oversized flanel shirt, and my underwear and bra. I walked out of ourroom and into the kitchen where Chad was leaning on the counter, watching T.v.
I wraped my arms around his torso, laying my head on his back, feeling him chuckle. "Did you sleep good?" He asked, standing up straight. I slowly peeled ay arms from around him, letting him turn around. "Mmhmm" I mummbled, still a little tired. He leaned down, giving me a kiss, waking me up. I pulled his face back to mine when he pulled away. I kissed him longer this time, playing with his hair. He lingered when I pulled away. I gave him one last peck and skipped to the fridge to make me some cereal.
"So, My dad was coming in today and he wanted to come see you, so I thought we could go out to dinner with him?" He asked, sitting down at the couch and turning down the T.V so he could hear me. "I'm fine with that, when does he want to meet up?" I asked taking a last drink of my coffee before putting it in the sink.
"I can call im later today and ask when" I nooded coming over and sitting beside him on the couch, putting my feet on his lap and eating my cereal. He rubbed my legs as we watched T.V. warming me up.
"May, You ready?" I heard him yell, coming into the room pulling on his shirt. I tugged on my boots, standing up and looking over myself in the mirror. I pulled all my hair to one shoulder, fixing my shirt.
"You look amazing" I saw him smile in the mirror, making me smile back at him, and turn around. I quickly applied mascara on my eyelashes, and pulled my earrings on. "Let's go" I said and he held out a hand for me to take. He laced our fingers together as we walked out the house, me grabbing my purse on the way out.
Once we got to Chilli's I was getting excited about seeing Rex. I loved him like he was my own dad. "Your more excited than I am" He laughed, grabbing my hand and kissing it. I walked closer to him as we entered Chili's. "It's really packed tonight" I said, looking around. "Really, Is the president here or something?" He laughed. I giggled and finally spoted Rex at one of the booths and pulled Chad behind me to the table.
"Hey! I haven't see you in forever sweetheart" He stood up giving us a huge huge. I sat on the edge, chad in the middle, and Rex in front of me. I felt Chad put his hand on my knee, staring at something. I was looked over at him, rubbing his arm, then going back to listening to Rex tell me something that happened over summer.
"I've got to go to the restroom" I whispered to Chad after our food had gotten to the table. He smiled and nodded.
I grabbed my purse, heading for the bathroom. I Opened the swinging door and noticed no one else was in here. I sat my purse down on the sink, checking my mae-up and hair. I pulled out my phone, texting Meredith and Bethany back. I hadn't seen Bethany in forever. I was in the middle of texting Mer back, telling her about how our date was going when I heard someone gasp from behind me. I looked up and saw Amy standing behind me. "Maci, Is that you? I haven't seen you in forever" She squealed. I sighed, annoyed, turning to face her. "Oh my god, Amy, how have you been?" I plastered a fake smile on my face. "Well-" I dont care. I don't care. I really don't care. I said in my head, already annoyed with her. "That's great! But I've gotta get back to my boyfriend, See you around" My fake smile fell off my face as I turned around, rolling my eyes, and mocking her. I pulled my purse closer to me as I swung the door open. I rolled my eyes, bumping into someone in the process. "Oh my gosh, I'm so-" I stopped in my tracks when I looked up, seeing who it was. "Actually, I'm not" I said, I may be being a bitch, but I really didn't care. I hadn't seen him face-to-face in 3 years, and he's lucky I didn't punch him right then and their. "Wow.. Real mature, Maci" He laughed coldly. "Well, I thought we stoped being mature when you didn't have the balls to break up with me in person" I shrugged, walking away when Amy came out of the bathroom.
I walked back over to the table, seeing Rex gone. "He had to leave, get back to wor-" I cut him off by pushing my lips against his. They moved in sync until I pulled away, and Chad stood up, grabbing my hand.
I looked over to the bathroom where I saw his blue eyes, filled with hate, watching my every move.
