Secret Admire
“Hey Niall,” She smiled at me.
“Hey, umm, can we talk, I kinda need your help.”
“My help, what for?”
“Why don’t we talk about it over coffee?”
“Sure.” She replied and we walked to Starbucks together.

“You WHAT?” She yelled at me after I told her what happened. Everyone in the café was looking at us and I looked down at my coffee, embarrassed.
“I know. I was just so stressed out. I didn’t mean to shout at her.”
“You do realize that it isn’t her fault that she’s missing it? You can’t blame her for joining! Don’t u remember? YOU joined too you know.” She smacked the back of my head softly.
“I know, okay. I was wrong, I bet she doesn’t even want to talk to me right now. And that’s why you’re here.” I looked up at her with pleading eyes.
“ You want me to talk to her? No way, you messed this up, you fix this.” She crossed her hands at her chest.
“No, not that way. You-”
“You want me to date you to make her jealous?” She cut me off before I could finish.
“NO! No way! I wan-“ I tried speaking again.
“You want me to tell her that you are moving away?” Her face serious.
“Oh my gosh, Layla! Let. Me. Speak.” I raised my voice a little. She gave me an apologetic look when she realized.
“It’s okay, you’re her best friend, right? You should know what she likes.”
“Uh, yeah.” She looked confused.
“Well?” I questioned after a moment of silence.
“Oh, um, she likes flowers! And well, she likes dogs?”
“Uh, okay. Favourite food?”
“Spaghetti” She answered after thinking.
“Favourite place?”
“I’m not so sure about that one. But she usually goes to the park when she is stressed out.”
“Oh okay, that’s all I needed to know. Thank you!!” I said, picking up my jacket to leave, already having a plan in mind.
“Bye!” She yelled and waved at me when I was just about to exit through the door.

School was just horrible. It was the next day already. Today’s the day. Time was passing so slowly. Why can’t school just end already?
Charlotte’s POV
I was rushing to get to Geography after History. I know, worst combination ever, right? Who the hell was responsible for the time schedule, I will personally hunt them down, with a knife. Maybe a gun. Wait, make that a cannon. Or a machine gun, that would be awesome. I got to my locker to grab my books. I was opening my locker when something fell out. I picked it up from the ground. It was a piece of folded paper, secured with a little heart-shaped sticker at the back. I took my needed books and slid the note smoothly in between some random pages of the closed book before slamming my locker shut and dashing to class.
“Why in the world are you so late?”
“I-” She cut my off.
“Why are you still standing there?” She questioned with an annoyed look. I scrambled over to my sit as she continued teaching. I opened my notebook and textbook before laying it out on the table to look like I was paying attention. I remembered the note, flipping my textbook to the page where the paper was, I took it out. I gently lifted up the piece of paper and the sticker popped open.
“Hey, love.
Meet me in the alley behind school after school today. I’ll be there waiting for you. <3
~ your secret admire”
The handwriting looked familiar to me, like I’ve seen it before somewhere, I just couldn’t put my finger on it. Part of me felt like this was a bad idea, the other part was just begging me to go. I was curious who that was, Niall? But there was a part of me that doubt the fact that it will be Niall. It was annoying the shit out of me. I’ll just go on with the day and decide after school.

School passed on slowly for the rest of the day. When the bell rang, I kept my books and rushed out of class. I was eager, very eager. I shoved through the crowd and used the back entrance of the school to exit. The school area was just buzzing with noise. I jogged to the back of the alley that was just a minute away before slipping into the dark path. I couldn’t make out who it was, it was dark. I took in all the courage I had and walked towards to figure, the only thing I could tell from this distance was that it was a boy. As soon as I got to arm’s length, his face was clear.
“Hi, Charlotte.”
“Long time no see.” I was shaking with fear but no words were form. I turned around, ready to run when a tight grip held onto my wrist, holding me back. Everything happened in a matter of seconds, the next second, I was thrown against the wall. My back was burning with pain after my body slammed on the brick wall.
