Katie's POV
*2 days later*

"You know you're even lighter then I thought you would be. Does Liam ever feed you?" Harry chuckled and bounced me slightly on his back as he got a better grip on my legs.

Today Harry took me to the fair, it was honestly amazing.

I think we're somewhere in mexico but I'm not sure because ever since I stepped onto the One Direction tour bus two days ago Harry has been keeping me company and spending all the time he can with me.

"I eat when I'm hungry." I giggled back and bumped Harry on the head with my stuffed panda he had won me.

"I can't believe I'm giving you a piggy back and winning you stuffed toys like we're fifteen, and we're not even into each other like that." He snorted and shook his head while walking in the direction of the parking lot.

"Hey!" I hit him again with my panda and he laughed.

"I'm dating your best friend Katie, but I never said you weren't attractive."

And que the awkward silence.

"You're meant to tell me that I'm attractive also then we have a forbidden love kind of thing." He slapped the side of my thigh making me squeal and tighten my arms around his neck.

"In your dreams Styles. I have eyes for another person." He let out a almost bitter laugh at my words.

"Don't you mean other people? As in plural?" I tensed at his words and jumped down from his back.

"Why do people always bring this up?" I mumbled while fiddling with the stitching on my panda.

"I know how much you like Calum, I mean for god sake you gave him your virginity. But you can't deny the way you look at Niall, I know that look Katie and it's called adoring."

I let out a shaky breath and nodded but didn't attempt to met his burning gaze.

"It's the same way he looks at you."

"Take me to the hotel."

He nodded and opened the car door for me without saying a word.

The whole car ride was silent and in the most awkward way. Once we had finally made it back to the hotel, I grabbed my stuffed animal and made a run for it.

Of course I was smart and went through the back doors of the hotel so that no one saw me but Harry was hot on my heels.

"KATIE WAIT!" I did the most stupid thing I could have and looked over my shoulder to see how far away he was.

When I turned back I ran straight into someone's chest.

I have a habit of doing that don't I?

I looked up to see Niall of all people and Liam and Louis standing behind him.

"What's wrong princess?" Niall asked, worry laced through his features and voice.

"I said something I shouldn't have and now Katie is mad at me." Harry breathlessly spoke as he caught up to us.

"What? Did you say something mean about Calum?" Niall chuckled slightly but it was easy to see it was forced.

"I don't want to talk about it and I don't want to be around you!" I snapped and pointed at Harry, I just hope they realize that I don't want to talk about this. Not now nor ever.

It's not that I disagree with what Harry said, but I don't want to admit that and not in front of Niall.

"Well that's good because I personally think Harry has been hogging you and I want to spend some time with you." Niall said with a amazing smile on his face and I just nodded as I really wasn't sure on what to say.

"N-no! I mean yeah I've been spending a lot of time with Katie but shouldn't she spend some time with her brother?" Harry's panicked voice made me confused but I didn't get a chance to say anything before Niall wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me into his side.

"Want to go watch the Muppets?" He grinned evilly at me as he knew I couldn't turn down the Muppets.

I nodded excitedly like a little kid and we walked back to his hotel room, not sure why his instead of mine but whatever.

"Pssst Katie."

Oh no. I'm not talking during this movie!

"Katie! Can I ask you a question?" Niall whispered again and poked the side of my stomach making me squeal and slap his shoulder.

"Shut up. This is the best part." I kept my eyes glued to the screen as I watch the Muppets sing the last song of the movie.

I held in a breath as I watched Walter whistle his ending part before the fireworks went off.

"Best ending ever!" I clicked the end button on the remote and turned to face Niall to see him smiling at me.

He grabbed my legs and laid them across his lap so we were sitting closer than before.

"Can I ask my question now?" I nodded and he took a deep breath before looking into my eyes.

"What are we?"

Shit.

I think I forgot how to breathe.

"What - um do you mean?"

He ran his hand up my leg before resting it on my knee, he's trying to distract me and it's bloody working.

"Well are we friends or are we more?"

My eyes flicked down to his lips for a second before I realized how bad that must look.
"Um friends is a good word for us, yeah I think we're friends."

He gave me a weak smile before pulling me onto his lap.

"Friends can hug right?" I nodded and leaned in to hug him.

We stayed there for a long time, I didn't bother to count because I was happy and didn't want the moment to end.

I finally know where we stand and it's about freaking time.

He pulled away from me slightly and very slowly placed a kiss on my cheek. My eyes fluttered closed as I savoured the small touch.

He lips remained close to my cheek as he pulled away only a few inches, I could still feel his warm breath on my face.

"Is that okay?" He asked and I kept my eyes closed but nodded.

His lips came in contact with the corner of my mouth and my breathing hitched in my throat.

"How about that?" I nodded again.

Friends kiss all the time.... Right?

I wasn't thinking about what was happening and clearly neither was Niall because the next thing I knew, his lips were on mine.

Calum's POV
*Australia 8pm*

"Is it legal to be this drunk this early?" Michael slurred his words from the stool next to me and I laughed a little harder than needed.

Who gives a crap I'm drunk.

"Yes I'm pretty sure it's legal." I finally stopped laughing and he shrugged his shoulders before bouncing over to the dance floor to join our group of friends.

This was our last night with them before we left to finish the rest of our Australian tour.

I know I should be spending time with my friends but all I can think about right now is Katie.

She's only sent me one text since she left and I keep seeing pictures of her and Harry.
Now I know I should be happy that she's spending time with a guy that has a girlfriend but for some reason I can't shake away the jealousy. There's a small part of me that keeps reminding me that there hasn't been one photo of her and Niall but I still wish that the only guy she would spend time with besides me is her brother.

"Fuck it." I breathed out as I hoped off my bar stool and walked to a quieter area of the club.

I pulled my phone out and pouted as my screensaver of me and Katie came into view. I unlocked it and scrolled through my contacts until I found Katie's name.

It took her awhile to answer and I tried hard to think about what time and place she is in right now but I couldn't remember.

"Calum?" Her small sleepy voice rang through my ears and I slumped against the wall feeling so utterly happy just from hearing her voice.

"Hey baby! I miss you so could damned much!" The words poured out of my mouth before being filtered through my brain so I hope they made since.

She giggled and I felt all warm inside again, only she makes me feel that way.

"Why are you calling me at five in the morning?" She asked with just a hit of seriousness in her voice.

"Because I missed you babe."

She went silent and I placed my empty hand on the wall to help balance myself.

"Ow, shit." I heard her mumble under her breath followed by a string of curse words.
She was quiet and I could hear shuffling.

"Are you all right?! My god you're not hurt are you?" I rambled on and suddenly forgot how drunk I really was as I tired to stand up straight but failed.

"I'm fine Calum." She whispered yet again making me confused.

"What's wrong? Why are you whispering?"
I would lowered my own voice but it was too loud in hear and she could only just hear me to start with.

"Nothings wrong. I fell asleep on the couch so now I'm going to my room, I may have hit my foot with the door."

Why would she sleep on the couch?

"Was someone in there with you!" I know it was wrong of me to yell and get angry but I couldn't help it, the thought of her being close to someone else pissed me off.

"God Calum! How much have you had to drink?"

"Just answer the damn question Katie!!!"

She fell silent and I knew she was shocked at my tone of voice.

"You don't need to be such an ass okay? You're not my boyfriend."

Ouch.

"But I want to be... and you hung up didn't you?" I pulled the phone away from my ear to see that she had indeed hung up on me.

I know I yelled but she didn't need to say that.

I was angry at myself and at Katie, I pulled at the roots of my hair as I leaned my head back against the wall that was still supporting me.

"What's up babe?" My eyes shot open but weren't met with the ones I wanted.

I was hoping it would be Katie but instead I was looking at Stella.

"Go away." I sulked the a little kid who had just been grounded and she just giggled.

"You know, if you're in need of a mood lifter, then I can help."

I was going to tell her to piss off and that I was with someone else but then Katie's words replayed in my head.

You're not my boyfriend.

If she wants to be like that then why can't I?

I'm not sure if it was the alchol or the anger but I let Stella wrap her fingers around my own before walking me to the front of the club
