Inseparable
Jealousy
We found a bunch of blankets and piled them high on the bed. Harry climbed into the bed while I picked us out a movie then crawling in and snuggling close to his chest. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and I rested my head on his shoulder as we watched The Notebook.
"I love Nicolas Sparks." I commented.
Harry kissed my cheek and I snuggled in closer to him, bringing the heavy cover over our legs that were snaked together. We could hear the sounds of the boys goofing around downstairs but we didn't care, we wanted to be alone.
While the credits were rolling, Harry volunteered to put in another movie and I watched as he left me and opened the cabinet to his assortment of movies. He grabbed one that I couldn't catch the title and slid it into the DVD player. He joined me back in the bed as the menu popped up.
The Conjuring blurred onto the screen and I gave him a confused look, wondering why he picked this one out.
"Why?" I simply asked.
"I can change it if you want. I just thought it'd be nice if we could snuggle up if we were scared." He smirked and I realized what he was thinking, get the girl scared so you two could cuddle.
"Whatever." I dismissed him by flipping my hair and he hit the play button.
At the first scary part, I shut my eyes and buried my head into his shoulder to evade the horror that was in front of me. He chuckled deeply and rubbed my shoulder soothingly.
The movie lasted about two hours and when it was over, I excused myself to the bathroom. I locked the door behind me and sat on the edge of the tub. I hated scary movies but the thought of having Harry there with me eased the pain. I took a deep breath and walked back out of the bathroom. The room was filled with light and I see that the blinds were opened so we could see better.
"Come here," Harry extended his arms and I fell into them. After a few seconds, I composed myself and sat beside him, bringing my knees up to my chest. He turned off the TV and faced me, the light bouncing perfectly off of his curls.
"We can sneak out of here if you want." He grinned one of those big goofy smiles that was too wide for his face but it still looked hot on him.
"I like staying with you. Plus I want to spend as much time together before you..." I trailed off at the thought of Harry leaving me. I tried to rid my mind of the sad time but it still lingered at the edge of my brain.
"When do you leave?" I asked quietly, looking at my knotted fingers.
Sensing my sadness, Harry took my hand and brushed his thumb over my knuckles.
"That doesn't matter." He spoke and it instantly calmed me. I slouched down into his chest and listened as he breathed in and out.
We stayed like that for hours, just taking in each others present, few words were spoken but mainly it remained silent.
When the room began to grow darker, I flipped on the light beside the bed and asked Harry if he wanted to go downstairs. Reluctantly, he nodded and scooped me up out of the bed. I giggled and slapped his chest but was secretly impressed that he could carry me.
He walked cautiously down the stairs and set me down in the chair across from the boys who gave us quizzical looks when we entered the room. Liam was the first one to snap out of the trance.
"Well look who the cat dragged in." His lips tugged into a smile.
The other boys snickered and Harry sat down beside them, grabbing one of the game controllers and getting involved in their intense game. I retrieved a throw pillow and set it on my lap, smiling as I watched Harry's precise movements.
I was sucked out of my thoughts when a controller was thrown at me feet. I picked it up and looked curiously at Louis who had a wicked smile on his face.
"Play?" He suggested and I smiled back. Growing up with brothers, I was no stranger to violent war games. He unpaused the game and I was surprised that my character's screen went red and I was killed. I glared at Louis and the other boys, waiting for my reaction.
"You're so dead." I threw the pillow so hard that he rocked backwards in attempt to catch it.
"Oh, it's on." He leaped off the couch and before I knew it, all the boys had dog piled on top of me minus Harry who was staring at us with mixed emotions, amusement but most of all, jealousy. I struggled to push them off of me and soon they retreated back to their spots.
During our play fight, Harry had disappeared upstairs. I promised that I would return and followed him up there, quietly closing the door behind me. He sat on the bed, his back facing me, and looked out the window. I crept across and wrapped my arms around his shoulders. He tensed but didn't move otherwise.
"Are you mad?"
He turned his head to where our cheeks were almost touching. "No, I'm not mad."
"Well then stop acting all grumpy and come back downstairs."
He shook loose my arms and stood up.
He let out a small laugh and ushered me out the door. As we walked down the stairs, he pulled me close and whispered in my ear.
"Don't forget that you're mine."
