Rachel's P.O.V.

As soon as my eyes opened, I started looking for my phone in the bed. I began shaking my covers and suddenly heard a thump. Crap.

I pulled myself out of the bed and picked my phone up off of the floor, checking the time. 8am? What the hell was I doing awake?

Well now I was out of bed I wouldn't be able to get back to sleep anyways so I decided to go downstairs to get something to eat.

Once I got to the kitchen, I put on the kettle and put two slices of bread into the toaster.

Once the kettle had boiled, I started making myself a cup of tea. I couldn't go a day without drinking tea. It was my thing.

"Morning Rach- what the hell is that smell?" I looked up to see Danielle standing at the door way of the kitchen.

I turned around quickly. There was thick smoke coming out of the toaster.

I ran to it quickly, popping the toast, coughing.

Danielle opened the window quickly, letting all the smoke out.

My toast was coal black.

"How does that even make sense? Toasters are meant to pop themselves!" I muttered, adding milk to my tea and then taking a sip.

Danielle chuckled.

"Only you Rach" she laughed.

It was weird. There was some sort of family gene that made you an awesome cook. Both Harry and Dani had it, but I seemed to have missed out on it.

Needless to say, I couldn't even make toast.

"You know, if you and Louis ever actually got together, I don't know how you'd manage" she added.

I rolled my eyes.

"Me and Louis are just friends Dani" I told her.
She shrugged.

"Whatever you say" she said winking.

I stuck my tongue out at her.

"Anywho, guess who spent the night in my room?" she changed the subject, grinning.

My eyes widened and she nodded.

"Wow. Well done Dani" I gave her a wink grinning.

"Whatever you do don't tell Harry though" she told me.

"Don't tell me what?"

We both looked to the doorway where Harry was now walking in.

"Oh nothing. Kinda a girl thing, you wouldn't really wanna know anyways" I said casually, shrugging.

Harry just nodded in agreement and Dani shot me a grateful look.

We both knew Harry wouldn't take it well. Saying he was protective would be an understatement. He would literally kick Niall's ass if he knew he had spent the night in Danielle's room.

"Why is there smoke in here?" Harry asked.

"Rachel made toast" Dani told him, making him burst out laughing.

"Don't worry love, I'll make you breakfast" he chuckled, ruffling my hair.

He began working in an omelette.

I was a vegetarian so I ate a lot of eggs.

Once we were finished breakfast I got a shower and got changed into an pair of shorts, a tank top and a pair of converse.

When I came downstairs some of the others were still sitting around in their pyjamas.

I had decided I wanted to go for a walk on the beach, but I didnt really wanna go alone.

"Anyone wanna go for a walk with me?" I asked the group in general.

"Where?" Austin asked.

"On the beach" I replied.

Lizzie started grinning.

"Louis, you should go. You like walking" She said, as casually as she could manage.

Subtle. Real subtle.

I looked at Louis who nodded.

"Sure, just let me get dressed"he told me.

It ended up just being the two of us walking. Which didnt bother me at all. I was closest to Louis, out of all the boys. (Other than Harry of course.)

"So, do ya like it here?" Louis asked as we walked.

I nodded.

"Definitely. I love the beach. And ita nice to spend a bit of time with you guys without all the screaming fans and paparazzi and stuff" I replied.

"Yeah, I like spending time with you girls" he told me.

"You in particular" he added, a little more quietly.

I felt myself smile but before I had chance to say anything in reply his face lit up. He had an idea.

"Race ya into the water!" he yelled and suddenly he took off running for the ocean.

It took me a second to comprehend what he had said and when I did, I took off after him, running as fast as I could.

We both discarded the fact that we were still dressed.

When we were both in deep enough that the water was nearly up to my shoulders we stopped.

"I totally won that" Louis told me.

"Well you cheated! You took off before I knew what was going on. And you know I'm a shit runner" I pouted.

"Me? Cheat?! As if!" he scoffed.

I stuck my tongue out at him and splashed water in his face.

He gasped.

"Oh it's on!"

And suddenly the water fight began.
