The Water's Sweet but Blood is Thicker

Danielle’s P.O.V

Niall and I walked hand in hand down the stairs. Once at the bottom Rachel was the first to see us and she saw that we were holding hands while Harry was in the other room. She walked swiftly towards us with a concerned look on her face.

“What the Hell do you think you’re doing Danielle?” She whispered harshly at me and I had to tell her she was my sister… my twin sister.

“Niall do you mind I need to talk to her for a bit. I will be right back but don’t say anything we are going to do this together.” I said before leaving him and taking Rachel outside by the pool to talk.

“What’s going on Dani? What kind of stunt are you trying to pull here? If Harry finds out about you and Niall it won’t take him long to find out about me and Louis!” she said and I just collapsed onto the ground.

“Dani!” She was instantly by my side. I sobbed a bit and then I knew I had to stop before someone knew I was crying.

“I might be pregnant Rach.” I said in a very low tone. She wrapped her arms around me and smoothed my hair.

“Oh my god Danie. What are you going to do?” She asked. It was a fair question but I only knew what I was going to do.

“Well first Niall and I at least need to tell Harry we are together. If the baby comes and he finds out then he will be even more pissed. Second when we go home I’m going to go to the clinic and check to see if I am or not. I don’t want to take a pregnancy test and have someone find it here in the house. To tell you the truth I don’t even want to think about it while I’m on vacation.” I said and she nodded her head understandingly.

“I understand and I am here for you till the very end no matter what you choose.” She said and I smiled and looked her in the eyes.

“If I am I’m going to keep the baby.” I don’t want to let my child grow up without his or her parents. We have the means to take care of the kid. Niall and I talked it over. He knows it’s my choice and I told him that I would keep the baby.” I smiled. “He said that the baby would be very lucky to have a mom like me.” I looked at Rachel and got up and then she pulled me into a hug.

“Sorry for flipping out on you. I had no idea. I know you are doing the right thing and I will be here for you and I will defend you no matter what.” She said calming me down a little but I was terrified on the inside.

We walk back in holding hands and she smiled and patted my hand before nodding in Niall’s direction. Harry was watching with my every move. I stepped towards Niall and he out stretched his hand and I took it and he pulled me into a big hug.

“What’s going on?” Harry said standing up. He didn’t like this situation at all but I am going to have to make him understand.

I came out of Niall’s embrace and intertwined our fingers and looked at Harry with pleading eyes. I really just wanted to listen to what I have to say.

“NO. ABSOLUTLY NOT!” He shouted and I flinched. Niall just put his arm around my waist for extra support because he knew I needed it.

“Harry, please. Can you listen, please I’m begging you.” I said in a normal tone and all he did is shake his head. He was way to overprotective for his own good.

“Mate can you let us talk please.” Niall said but that only made Harry even madder. I was terrified and I was about to break down when the lads came in and sat him down calming him down a bit as well.

“I didn’t plan to fall for Danielle I swear Harry. I know you love them and I understand your need to protect them but it happened.” Niall said being really respectful.

“It’s not Niall’s fault it really is mine. I knew you think that you need to protect me right now but I’m 18 and I have to make my own decisions. I love you so much Harry and I would never want to hurt you or your friendship with the lads but I am in Love with Niall. I couldn’t control it, it just happened.”

He looked like he was going to punch a wall but before he did Rachel spoke up. She is literally my saint. I don’t know what I would do without her.

“You knew it was going to happen eventually Harry. We spend so much time around them it was bound to happen. It just happened sooner than later. I can promise you this that Niall has never looked at another woman since he fell for Dani.” She said and he looked at her in astonishment.

“Would you have rather us come to you sooner rather than latter? Because I know for a face that you would be more pissed than you are right now if they came to you later.” Niall said trying to be sincere about the whole situation.

“Under no circumstance are you allowed upstairs when she is. Except for when you go to sleep. Rachel will be moving into Danielle’s room and well I guess Liam and Abby will be sharing a room from now on because you and I are now roomies. Oh and Rachel will accompany you on any dates you go on and I expect her to give me a full report when you guys get back. When you turn 20, Danielle, you will be able to have freedom to go on dates without supervision. Got it?” Harry said in a firm voice.

I looked at Niall and smiled and he was smiling back at me. We looked back at Harry who still looked beyond angry and in unison said “Deal” and with that Harry went upstairs and basically locked himself in his room.

“I thought he was going to kill me.” Niall said finally breathing. He leaned down and kissed me firmly on the lips. It was a deep passionate kiss that lasted a while. Once we heard everyone awing we broke apart.

“Well were not out of the water yet.” I said to Niall forgetting everyone else there. I probably should have remembered that this is a conversation for two but nope that didn’t cross my mine.

“What’s the plan?” Niall asked me and I smiled because I knew exactly what the plan was. I knew we couldn’t stress about it now so that’s why I really think it’s perfect.

“After the vacation I will go to the clinic and then I will know if I am or not.” I said and he frowned. I thought it was a really good plan.

“I’m going back on tour Dani. I won’t be there for you and I promised we would be together every step of the way. We’re in this together.” He said and I just nodded because I knew I wasn’t going to win this one.

“I know a great clinic here. It said it on one of the brochures I was reading on the way here.” Rachel said.

“Ok then we will go in three days. It would be too soon to tell now.” I say and everyone else in the room looks confused.

Rachel got everyone outside and Niall and I looked at each other before looking at everyone else on the pool deck. I nod and let Niall spill the news because I already told Rachel.

He let out a deep breath. “Danielle and I might be having a baby.” He finally said
