Flower Lily Club

Chapter 4 (part 3)

“You don’t need to be sorry,” Freddie told her. “I don’t know but no matter how many times you refuse I just can’t get you off my mind or even stand to hear you say we can just be friends.”
“Freddie, I’m flattered but I keep telling you that we can’t date,” Franchessca told him.
“I heard you and you need partners, right?” Freddie said.
“Well, yes,” Franchessca admitted. “But I have a strict vow to myself to stick with the club rules and not have a relationship with people I help out in missions because—”
Franchessca stopped speaking because in mid-sentence, Freddie suddenly kissed her!
“Sorry,” Freddie immediately said after a moment. “I just can’t control myself.” He looked down as if he had a big cloth of shame poured down on him.
“I see how much you can’t,” Franchessca said and she felt a sensation about wanting to grin but can’t.
Freddie asked her, “So, can I be your boyfriend?”
“Yes,” Franchessca finally agreed.
Freddie plastered a huge smile on his face and asked her, “Really?” He gave him another little kiss and this was more passionate than the other one because Franchessca approved of this. However, they both didn’t know that Sam was looking at them.
Franchessca happened to look at the balcony entrance and saw Sam. In sadness, Sam asked them, “So we don’t have any chance?”
“Sorry Sam,” Franchessca apologized.
“It is fine,” Sam assured her, “After all, Carly and I don’t need to fight between Freddie anymore!”
“You’re not mad at me, are you?” Franchessca asked her in fear of having a future full of physical bruises from Sam, who is known for being violent and somewhat boyish.
“Of course not,” Sam said, making Franchessca feel better. “You helped me find another reason why I shouldn’t fight my err-best friend!”
“Thank you,” Franchessca said happily and without hesitation, she hugged Sam.
They all went to Carly and Magalona who are now seated comfortably inside Apartment 3B.
“How did things go?” Carly asked.
“I’m ready to take you back as my best friend,” Sam announced and held open arms for Carly to hug her.
“Why? What happened?” Magalona asked enthusiastically.
“Franchessca and Freddie is now a couple so I know Carly and I don’t need to fight anymore,” Sam explained with suspense.
“Congratulations, Franchessca,” Magalona greeted the new couple.
“Franchessca has a boyfriend?” Malaska asked in surprise and wide eyes.
“She certainly does,” Magalona answered. “That’s what Sam’s statement means.”
“Well, I guess this is good bye,” Franchessca told Freddie sadly. “See you soon. I promise.”
“Goodbye! Thanks for the help,” Carly, Sam and Freddie said as they left the girls’ apartment to give them time to pack up completely.
“Bye,” Magalona, Franchessca, Malaska and Patricia said simultaneously.
A peaceful and starry night quickly passed and soon, the four girls are returning their rented car and they transferred themselves along with their luggage in a cab on the way to the airport.
“I just can’t believe so much had happened in a week,” Franchessca said as they alighted from the car to enter their private airplane.
“Believe it,” Magalona said. “Now, why don’t we sit on comfortable chairs and talk about the mission?”
“It’s just so unfair because Franchessca already had her first kiss while only sixteen years old while we haven’t,” Patricia said in mock jealousy.
“Get over it Patricia,” Malaska said jokingly.
“I’m seventeen,” Patricia complained.
“You girls will go to Hollywood Arts for your next mission,” the pilot said from his seat. “Now some guys in here who wanted to go to Seattle will show some papers to tell Principal Franklin you need to move out of town so suddenly.”
“Okay,” Magalona said. “Thank you for reminding us!” As she sat comfortably to begin a new conversation with her friends, another interruption was aroused.
“Hey girls, Ma’am Art is calling,” Malaska said. Putting the phone in her ear, she said, “Hello?”
“Hey Malaska, how’s your mission going? I hear you’re already going to LA for your next mission. Congratulations and Good luck,” the woman said in a fast pace. Obviously, she is more excited than they are.
“Thanks Ma’am Art,” Malaska said.“Take care and keep us up-to-date on your mission in Hollywood,” Ma’am Art said before ending the call.“We will” Malaska said then heard a beeping sound on her phone. In confusion, she looked at the screen and said, “She hung up!”
