Flower Lily Club

Chapter 4 (part 2)

“Well at least it’s not some other typical school,” Magalona told them. “Isn’t that why you feel okay about agreeing to our next mission?”
“Who will pick us up?” Patricia asked.
“I’ll just call our pilot or something,” Magalona volunteered then picked her phone up and dialed Flower Lily Travel Club and asked who will conduct them to Los Angeles.
“I believe Mr. Maloy asked us to give you your pilot and he will immediately fly to Seattle Airport. The pilot will call any of the four of you if he has arrived,” the receptionist explained.
“How long do you think will it take before the plane reaches Seattle?” Magalona asked.
“The pilot said it may take him about four to five hours or more. I’ll tell him to leave now anyway,” the receptionist said.
“Thank you! Bye,” Magalona told the receptionist and then she hung up the phone. Counting with her fingers, she realized that the pilot would arrive either late that night or early tomorrow morning.
“Franchessca I thought we’ll go without you,” Patricia teased her sister remembering that Freddie likes her.
“Of course I’ll always join you in every mission,” Franchessca said.
A few minutes later, Magalona reminded them that their pilot will be arriving at the Seattle airport and travel all the way to Los Angeles.
“We better get going,” Malaska decided.
Right behind their door, they heard arguing voices.
Carly’s voice was first heard as she asked somebody, “Did they leave?”
“I think they did, but I never forgave you,” Sam’s voice shouted as an answer.
“What?” Franchessca immediately called the attention of the other three and told them, “You guys come here!”
“Why?” Magalona asked in alarm.
“Hey!” Malaska shouted at Carly and Sam.
“Look, you think you did all those successful things?” Sam asked her angrily.
“You have to be friends again I thought we were reasonable to you,” Magalona said in wonder.
“Look Carly and Sam,” Magalona said, staring hard at the two girls. “You have to be friends with Sam because you are like best friends forever and you can never be any happier without each other.”
“But she told me she never forgave me,” Carly said, pointing to Sam.
“I didn’t because I always knew you’ll never let anybody get into Freddie’s heart but yourself,” Sam explained angrily.
“That’s true,” Freddie suddenly said as he appeared out of the blue, or more particularly, from his apartment.
“Carly I know it’s hard to accept but you need to be open to others,” Magalona said softly. “You had your chance anyway but refused to take it.”
Franchessca interrupted the lesson as she said softly, “Would any of you mind if I step out for a while?”
“No, go ahead,” Malaska told Franchessca.
“I’ll be at the balcony if any of you need me,” Franchessca told everyone.
Once again, Magalona asked the two girls, “Do you forgive each other?”
“Could you just hug and forgive each other?” Malaska requested trying to lessen the tension. She is too focused on them that she didn’t notice Freddie step out.
At the balcony, Franchessca gazed at the starry night as if she were staring into Vincent Van Gogh’s painting because of the clear blue skies and sparkling white stars.
“I hope they would regain their friendship before dawn,” she muttered to herself as her eyes sparkled like the stars.
Suddenly, a voice from behind her said, “Want to end the feud too, huh?”
“Freddie!” she exclaimed “What are you doing here? Please don’t surprise me like that or else I might get a heart attack!”
“Just escaping the tension there,” he answered.
Franchessca smiled teasingly and asked him, “Can’t fit your own words there? I guess you’re not much of an advisor friend.”
“Listen,” Freddie said, ignoring her joke. “Earlier, you said if anybody needs you then you’ll be right here.”
“I did,” Franchessca said. “Do you need me?”
“You know, when you tried to convince me about picking out who I really want,” Freddie began saying. “I said I like you, right?”
“Yes but I refused,” Franchessca said. “I’m sorry.”
