One Direction at Camp

I woke up by Niall and Liam pouring cold water over me, I shot up out of bed in an instant, “Oh my fucking god!!!!” I screamed, “pay backs a bitch” they laughed. I guess I had this coming, Harry looked far from impressed as he had got soaked as well, he pulled me into a big hug, clearly trying to warm up in our soaked bed. “What did I do to deserve that?” he asked in a sleepy voice, “sorry mate, it was aimed for Lilly, guess that’s what you get when you sleep with the enemy though!” Niall laughed, “oww!” he said as the pillow that Harry had thrown hit him directly in the face. I nudged Harry “common if we get the bed outside it will dry in the sun”. Harry helped me pull the bed out of our cabin, it wouldn’t take long to dry outside. I have clearly learnt not to mess with the guys from One Direction unless I’m ready for the consequences; they were a bit like me in that way.

I dragged my tired butt to the showers, feeling the warm water cascade over my aching skin felt incredible, I had clearly overdone it at the treasure hunt last night. I was feeling really happy today though, I guess it was officially, I was Harry’s girlfriend, I’m happy with the outcome but when I first met him I really didn’t see that coming. Ye I always thought he was the hottest and my type out of the group but once I actually met him and got to know him personally he just grew in my eyes, god I’m sounding so sappy!

The shower’s seemed far too quiet, I didn’t really sing that often apart from if I was taking a singing session, but I did love to sing, and without being big headed I was actually really good. I decide to sing my favourite song, Christina Aguilera, hurt.

Niall’s POV

I grabbed my stuff and headed for the shower, Harry was still a bit pissed about the whole water situation so I was glad for some space.

I walked into the shower block, I don’t think anyone other than Lilly was in here as I could hear her shower running, I was about to shout hi to her but she suddenly broke out into a song. I stood frozen as I heard her voice, it was amazing. I think she was singing hurt by Christina Aguilera, wow it was beautiful. I took out my phone to record her singing so I could show the guys. I stood quietly as she sang in perfect tune, she got to the chorus and her previously soft calming voice rose to a powerful one that sent chills down your spine, she really got into the song. Lilly sang the whole song acapella, she was in tune, on time and her raw voice shone through, it’s rare when someone can truly sing without the accompany of music, holly fuck she was amazing!
I continued until Lilly finished singing, I recorded the whole song. I quietly snuck out of the shower block and quickly ran back to our cabin, “that was quick Niall!” Liam laughed, I looked at him strangely, oh ye I was supposed to be having a shower, “oh! I haven’t had a shower yet” I said, “why?” Louis asked, “Lilly was in there….you need to hear this….” I said as I played the recording, the guys all just looked at me in shock as they listened to her singing. “Is that actually Lilly?” Zayn asked when the recording had finished, “ye she was the only one in there, I know right she’s fucking unbelievable!” I said excitedly.


Lilly’s POV

I finished my shower and walked back to our cabin, when I walked in the guys all just stared at me, “what?” I asked, why were they all looking at me as if I had to heads? They just continued to stare at me, “seriously guys! What?” “you never told us you could sing” Harry said, “well you never asked…I’m not that good anyway” I said, “not that good? Holy fuck you’re amazing!” Louis pretty much shouted at me, “um thanks….wait how do you know, you’ve never heard me sing?” I asked, they were all acting really weird. “I went to have a shower a little while ago and you were singing….I kind of recorded you because you were so good and I wanted the guys to hear” Niall said. I didn’t really know what to say to that “oh ok, well thanks I guess”. “How come you never pursued a career in singing?” Liam asked, “acting was always my thing, when I was little I went to a school that trained me in acting, dancing and singing. I became really good at them all but acting was always my true passion, if the acting job that I got involved singing and dancing too then it was a bonus”, “have you had many acting jobs?” Zayn asked, I guess we had never spoken about my previous jobs. “Ye when I was little I was in several commercials, when I was 16 I had a small part in a TV series, when I was 17 I was signed to the west end, I performed in We Will Rock You, Matilda and Les Miserables, I then got the job to work here which I took as I wasn’t getting many job offers, in the industry the younger you are the better. At least this job I get to still get to practice my love for singing dancing and acting” I said. “Would you take a job as a singer?” Harry asked, I thought about it for a few minutes, “ye I guess if the opportunity was right then yes I would” I said, they all quickly dropped the subject but Harry couldn’t stop smiling since I said I would take a job in singing…I wonder what he was thinking?
