When He Does Come Home
Anxiously Waiting
"Christina, help me clean the house! Your brother Liam is coming home tomorrow!" my mum yells from the kitchen. "Right, I'm coming!" I say to her.
I go into the living room and plug in the vacuum.
Liam has the band and all so we really can't see him until his schedule is free. Most of his free time is spent with Danielle, so we don't get to see him that much. That's why him coming home tomorrow is being praised.
My mum is obsessed with making sure that the house is in perfect order, but I don't really care. As long as I get to see him again.
I start humming to myself. Nobody really knows it, with the exception of my mum, but I myself have developed an interest in singing. Liam doesn't know that I can sing. I don't think that I want him to know, either. I get really shy when I perform in front of a group of people. I'm afraid he'll want me to go into the singing industry, like him. I'm not sure how the process works, but I'm not prepared to try and find out, either. I mean. who's ever heard of someone who wants to sing, but is too afraid to try?
I turn off the vacuum, unplug it, and start to wind up the cord. I put the vacuum in the hall closet, and then I feel my phone vibrating in my pocket. It reads:
I'll be home at 6 o'clock tomorrow morning. Good night, love you, so excited to give you a big hug. - Your Brother Liam
"Idiot," I mutter, grinning wildly. I tell my mum that I'm going to bed, tell her goodnight, and race up to my bedroom. I change into sleep clothes, and hop into bed. I stay awake for awhile, thinking of his arrival. Then I finally fall asleep, ready for the day to come.
I'LL TRY TO UPDATE, BUT I'M GOING THROUGH FAMILY ISSUES. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CO-AUTHOR THEN MESSAGE ME AND LET ME KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
