Remember Me

Lauren's POV-
Tapping my pen on the table I counted down the seconds till class was over. 59, 58, 57, 56, 55, "Miss Huhn, are you paying attention?" The professors voice rang through the hall.
After sighing I looked up saying, "yes Dr. Brunk."
"Then you are aware of the paper due next week on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet?" She tested me.
"Of course I am." I smiled returning to counting down, 42, 41, 40, 39, 38. School has always been easy, read the chapter before the test, ace it. Never needed much effort, yet succeeded with flying colors, 25, 24, 23, 22, 21. I grew up in a small town called Holmes Chapel. The town was very small, but I loved it everyone knew everyone, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6. It just felt like home, that's where I plan on working, living, raising a family, no where in the near future though, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. The bell rang throughout the campus. I shoved my books in my bag and walking out to my car. Throwing my bag in the back, hoping in, I started my car and took off. Making every green light but one, I stopped till it turned green and started moving again, except the other car must not have seen the red, smashed into me hitting my side of the car, causing me to hit my head on the steering wheel from the impact. The airbag deployed pushing me back upright. My left arm stings from the shattered glass cutting my arm. Black splotches invaded my vision as the cabin became hot. The last thing I saw before blacking out we're the flames from the engine creeping toward me and sirens in the distance.
