Real

I silently follow Harry into his condo. When we walk in there is a kitchen to the left, a living area to the right, with couches, tv. And a coffee table. He turns to face me.

"You can sleep in the bed if you want. I can sleep on the couch." He offers politely.

I shake my head. "I'll sleep on the couch." There is no way I'm sleeping in his bed. Even if he isn't in there with me. No way.

"Fine." He mumbles under his breath. "I was just trying to be nice." He goes into a different room and comes out with two pillows and a big blanket. He tosses me the pillows and puts the blanket on the couch.

"Thanks." I say quietly.

"Yupp." Is all he says to me. He goes back into the room.

I put the pillows on the end of the couch and lie down. It's actually pretty comfortable, and I'm exhausted from the jet lag from flying. Whenever I travel, it takes me weeks to get used to the time changes. I hate it.

I relax a little. And before I know it, I'm asleep.

"Um, Ari, wake up. Someone's here for you." I awaken to Harry lightly shaking me.

I groan, and pull the blanket over my head. I'm still tired, so I'm going to sleep longer.

"Ari, wake up." He pleads.

I turn my body so it's facing the back of the couch and away from him.

"You wake her up." He says to someone else in the room. The other person doesn't say anything. Harry sighs and pulls the blankets off of the couch.

I groan in complaint. Damn it, just let me sleep.

"Ari, seriously wake up." He begs once more. I finally relent and sit up. I brush my messy hair out of my face. I'm sure it's sticking up everywhere.

"Thank you." He sighs with relief, that I finally woke up. "Someone's here for you."

I look around for the other person he was talking to. El is sitting on the recliner a few feet away from me.

"Good morning sleeping beauty." She smiles, sarcastically. I grab one of the pillows I was sleeping on and throw it at her. It stops a little short, landing at her feet. Harry stifles a chuckle at my fail. "It's nice to see you too." El smirks.

I speak for the first time this morning. "Are we going to the hotel yet?" I ask El, impatiently.

"What hotel?" She asks, with fake innocence.

"You know damn well what hotel." I say angrily. It's morning, I'm tired, and El is pissing me off.

"Oh, you mean the hotel room I got for ME to stay in until you and Harry officialy announce your relationship?" She smirks. With an emphasis on the word me.

"El, you don't mean-"

She cuts me off. "You know what I mean. As soon as you guys," she gestures toward me and Harry. "Tell everyone, I'm leaving."

"Bitch." Is all I say. I can't believe it. Not only do I have to date Harry, I have to do it without El's help. I don't want to admit it, but the truth is, I need her. I need her to help me through this.

"Well, I just wanted to show you this." She tosses a magazine at me. I look at it. On the cover is a picture of me and Harry walking into his condo. The title says "Harry's new girl?" How in the hell, did they get this picture and put it on a magazine so fast?

Harry leans over my shoulder to read it. His eyes get wide. I give the magazine to look at. I don't want to see it anymore. He turns to the article and skims through it.

"Well, this is a start." He says when he's done.

"It's a good start." El replies. "Keep it going. Go out on a date today or something. Make people see you. Introduce her to the band. Whatever. Just let people know." With that, she gets up, and leaves the condo.

"What a bitch." I say as soon as she's gone. I can't believe her. I look at the magazine in Harry's hands. Shit.


~Harry's Pov~


Her manager leaves, and once again, it's just me and Ari. El told us to do something. I think just taking her to lunch would be a good start.

"Do you want to go out to lunch?" I ask her.

She glares at me. "No." Then grabs the blanket off the floor, and lays back down. I sigh. She's going to be a handful.

"Ari, come on." I plead. "El told us to do something."

"You think I care about what El said?" She asks bitterly. She turns her back to me.

"Ari, please." I beg. Why won't she just listen? She doesn't say anything. "Ari," I say again. "Please."

"Go away and let me sleep." She mumbles. I didn't want to do this, but it's the only thing to get her up. She is going to hate this. I reach down and pick her up bridal style.

"Harry, put me down!" She screams, wriggling in my arms. She slashes around, trying to get out of my arms.

"You need to wake up." I demand. She keeps trying to break free.

"Put me down!" She demands angrily. I knew she wouldn't like this. I start to carry her into my room so she can change her clothes. El put her luggage in there.

Just then my front door swings open. "Harry, we're all going to-" Louis exclaims, walking in, then stops when he sees Ari.

"Oh, umm sorry for interrupting." He apologizes, awkwardly. He turns to leave.

"Wait, Louis," I call putting Ari down. She glares at me and brushes her morning bed head out of her face.

Louis turns around. "No, it's ok. I can go." He winks at me. "You two can have some alone time."

I chuckle a little at what he is implying. "No, Louis, we're done." I look down at Ari. She's about two inches shorter than me. She flashes me a smile and giggles. Wow, she can change moods fast. It's probably just cause Louis is here.


"Is he in the band with you?" She asks me just loud enough for Louis to hear. I smile.

"Yes, Ari, this is Louis." I introduce him to her. "And Louis, thisn is Ari."

Louis smiles and waves. "Hello Ari. Nice to meet you."

"You too." She smiles back. Wow, I knew she could act, but I didn't think she could even almost convince me that she's happy. It's almost like she's not pretending.

"Well I just came to tell you that we're all going for lunch with the girls. We didn't want to leave you out, but since you have a girl," he winks at me and Ari giggles again. "Anyway, we'll meet you here at noon?" He says as more of a question.

I nod my head. "Sounds good."
