"Harry!!" I hear my name screamed. My stomach wrenches at the sound. Ari is in trouble, and she's scared. I've never heard her sound like that.

"Ari!" I shout her name trying to locate her. I scan my surroundings, but it's too dark to see very clearly. "Ari! Where are you!?!"

"Har-" I hear her again, but her voice is cut off and she screams. I run across the street, to where I think her voice is coming from.

"No, stop!" I hear her beg. Then I hear something smash and Ari cry out in pain.

As I run across the street, I trip on a pothole and fall to the ground. I quickly stand back up. My hands are cut and bleeding, but I barely notice. My adrenalin is roaring.

"Noo!" I hear Ari scream again. And once again she cries out in pain. Whoever is doing this to her will pay.

I'm still not 100% sure where she is, so I take a bolt to my right and down an alley. I look around but don't see her. I need to stop waisting time and find her!

"Please" I hear her plead. Her voice is week, and broken. It kills me to know that someone is hurting her right now. Her voice is a lot closer this time, so I know Shes nearby. Something smashes and I hear her sobbing.

I run out of the alley as fast as an Olympic athlete and down the street 10 feet to my right. I turn down the next alley. It's darker than the first, and takes my eyes a few extra seconds to adjust.

But once they do I see the worst thing I could possibly see. Ari is lying crumpled on the ground, curled up in a ball, sobbing. A very large guy is standing over her. There is broken glass and rocks all around Ari.

The person picks up another rock and chucks it at her. It hits her neck and she starts sobbing harder, but doesn't scream anymore. It looks as though she's given up. Which hurts me the most.

"Hey!" I shout, making the guy turn and face me. Ari looks up tears streaming down her face.

"Harry?" She asks in between sobs.

I nod my head, tears forming in my own eyes. "It's going to be ok Ari." I assure her.

I take another look at the guy. He doesn't look more than 25 years old. He has piercings all over his face, and long greasy hair.

"Leave and I won't hurt you." He says, pointing to the street.

I shake my head. "I'm not leaving until she comes with me, and you're in the back of a police car."

"Ok," he says calmly changing tactics. "Leave, and I won't hurt her." He picks up another rock and throws it at Ari. It hits the top of her head and she cries out in pain again.

I run to her but the guy beats me there. He pulls a long object fro. His pocket. IIt's shiny silver surface glistens in the moonlight. A knife.

He grabs Ari, one of his hands holding the knife against her throat, the other one holding her arms behind her.

"I'll give you another chance. Leave and she won't get hurt."

"Harry" Ari chokes out, her eyes pleading for help. The guy knees her in the back, and pushes the blade closer to her throat.

"Don't talk." He barks. Ari closes her mouth, silent tears streaming down her face, her eyes begging me to do something.

I'm torn about what to do. If I tried to attack him, he would just slit Ari's throat. If I ran for help, by the time I'd get back they'd be gone.

I look the man in the eyes. He smiles maliciously. "Make a choice."

I smile back at him. He looks at me confused. "How about if you let her go, I wont hurt you." I tell him.

He laughs. "How are you going to hurt me?"

"I won't. He will." I motion to behind him.

He turns around, and a wooden board is slapped against his head. He falls limp to the ground, dropping the knife, and releasing Ari.

What he didn't know was that two of my best friends had been behind him, the moment he told me to make a choice.

Liam drops the board he used to knock the guy out. Him and Niall run towards Ari, who is standing there in shock. She's stopped crying, but is too scared to move still.

I run towards her also and wrap my arms around her.

That's when her tears really start to fall. "I thought you weren't coming." She stutters, barely audible from her sobs.

"Of course I was coming." I comfort her, stroking where the rock had hit her head.

Liam is on the phone with the police and Niall is listening intently. Zayn and Louis come running down the alley a few moments later.

I hold Ari and rock her back and forth. She sobs into my chest. Tears start to fall from my eyes too.

"I -I- he- I was scared. I didnt know if you would come." Ari stutters while sobbing harder.

"It's ok. It's ok. I'm here, I'm right here." I say in between my own tears.

We hold each other like this for several more minutes until we hear the sirens of police cars. By now almost everyone from the club is outside wondering what's going on.

The police pick up the unconscious guy and handcuff him and throw him into the back of a cop car. They pull me and Ari apart to ask us questions.

It turns out Ari was starting to get claustrophobic in the club and came outside for fresh air. The man grabbed her, dragged her to this alley, tried to rape her, but she hit him a few times. So he threw her to the ground and started to throw rocks and glass bottles at her, and that's when I showed up. Liam and Niall heard screams and ran outside to see what was going on, snuck up on him from the back of the alley and Liam knocked him out with the board.

A few paramedics bandage Ari up, and tell me she has a small concussion but that she'll be alright. They offer to give us a ride to our hotel and we take it.

I help Ari into the hotel silently. Once we're in our room and i help her climb into bed, I slide in next to her.

She's facing away from me, but I can hear her sniffle occasionally. I put my arm around her. "Ari. It's ok. I'm here for you. I would never let anyone hurt you."

She stops sniffling and turns to face me. "Harry? " she whispers quietly.

"Yes?"

"I love you."

"I love you too."
