A Broken Chain

Megan's POV

I was watching Catching Fire when Taylor called. I smiled I like him no doubt about it. But I have some issues so how could I tell him I like him? I pressed the answer button and talked.

"Hey hot stuff how's Coachella?" I asked.

"Well It hasn't started yet, but drama is going down badly." Taylor said.

"Oh my gosh is Sophia with Harry or Jai?" I asked.

"Right now secretly with Harry, but Jai doesn't know. He thinks she's with him." Taylor told me.

"How could she? Well who does she like?!" I asked wanting to know.

"Um Harry, she told me that Jai told her that he really likes her but she just wants to be friends but whatever I didn't call you about that." Taylor said.

"Okay what then..." I asked.

"I want to be more than friends, Megan I like you." Taylor said.

"Taylor I don't know.... I..I got to go." I said quickly and hung up. What am I going to do I can't date him what if he realizes how ugly I am? What if he just leaves like Sophia and the others did and not come back? I thought to to myself.

The rest of the day Taylor called every ten to twenty minutes he only left one voice mail so far saying
"please call me back." I still didn't its just too hard. After about ten minutes. He called again and left another voice mail. He said:

" Megan I told you I like you and I possible want you as my girlfriend but It's not fair that I just told you my feelings and I don't know yours for me. I like you okay? And if thats's to much for you to even answer my phone call or text messages then leave me alone cause I can't be with someone who's not true to their feelings."

I had to answer this message but I'm scared that he'll leave me like ever one else left me.

Look Taylor I like you too. A lot. But I'm scared that'll you'll leave me like every one else left me. I can't get into a relationship or anything right now. If you really like me you'll give me time to think. Please. I sent the text and turned off my phone.

Soon I was thinking of the promise we made. When we we thirteen we promised we'd be best friends forever that's none of us would ever leave each other. We promised we'd be a chain that can't be broken. But I guess some chains are meant to be broken.
