A Broken Chain

Sophia's POV
Harry and I started to dance and I really was feeling safe and happy in his arms, he kept humming in my ear and I loved it.
" Would you stop stepping on my feet." I said and I laughed
"Your the clumsy one!" I commented and playfully pushed him, heguys smiled and so did I.
" I wouldn't be so clumsy if, i wasn't thinking about kissing you all the time." I blushed and put my hands on his chest.
" Well I could fix that." I pulled him to me and we started to makeout.
" You invite us to the dance and all your gonna do is suck face with your boyfriend?" I heard and I turned and saw Jai and Amanda.
" You guys came!"
" Yea Jai here practically begged me!" I laughed and Harry grabbed my waist.
" Let me buy you a drink." Harry asked Jai
" Make it double." Jai told Harry and they left to get a drink.

I saw Stevie and Sami still in the corner and they winked at me I rolled my eyes and walked to the bathroom.

When I got back Harry and Jai were talking which was great cause they can become great friends I know, my favorite song came on and I started to dance.

Harry's POV
Jai and I were drinking and not much talking, it was quiet until I made a move.
" Hey did you see the football game last night?" i asked and he had the smuggest look on his face.
" I'm not really into a bunch of meatheads throwing a ball around." i rolled my eyes and took a sip of my soda.
"Look I'm just trying to make nice."
"Yeah well don't do me any favors." he said and I was about to snap.
" I doing it for Sophia, cause I care. And if you cared you would try too."
" I do care about her, alot."
Sophia looked at us and smiled.
" As a friend?" I asked
" Well its gonna be hard staying friendly with someone, when you live like 2 houses down from them."
" I know you Jai, and Soph has told me stories. So just keep her out of your crap you know with the drugs and stuff."
" I'll do whatever I want, whenever I want."
He gave me a jerk smirk and said.
" Oh and remember Styles, play nice." He said and walked away that bastard.
Sophia's POV
I was looking for Harry, and found Jai, Stevie, and Liam.
" Hey have you guys seen Harry?" I asked and before they could answer a cop came over.
"I need you to come with me." He told Jai.I
" Whats going on?" I asked
"I've gotten reports that there's drugs in your car, i need you to open it so I can search." he told Jai.
Amanda walked over to defend him I guess.
" This is ridiculous." She said.
" Yea and what gives you the right to search my car?" Jai fought back.
" My badge, and the parking lot charter." Jai rolled his eyes and followed the cop.
" What's going on?" Harry walked over and asked
Amanda grabbed his coller, about to beat him.
" You rat, I know it was you." she told him.
" No, Harry would never do something like that.Right" I said and tried to defend him.
"Right." Harry said and looked down at Amanda.
" I can't even look at you, he's lying to you Butera."
" Harry just tell me the truth." I asked him concerned
" The guy is a huge jerk." He said back.
Amanda scuffed and walked away.
" Seriously?" I askeed him.
He walked to my ear and tried to keep it on the down low.
" Can we not do this here?" he asked me.
" Just answer the question, did you tell on Jai."
He looked down full of dout,
" I was worried about you Soph." he tried to grab my hand but I snatched it away.
" You have no idea what his life is like, you have no clue how hard it is for him."
" Are you seriously defending him right now, you know what he said to me."
" I can't believe you would do something so spiteful because what, you were jealous."
" Because he's fouling Sophia and your falling for it!" i was surprised.
" The only thing I fell for was believing you were someone that I could actually be with."
He took a moment,
" What are you saying?"

" I'm saying.... that I need some time to think."
" So your choosing him."
A tear slipped down my cheek,
" Its not like that."
" Whatever you say." He put his hands up in defeat and walked away leaving me in angry tears.
--------Later that Night-------------------
I was sitting on my couch just thinking and worrying about Jai, I then heard a knock on my door I ran and opened it to see Jai.
I walked out onto the porch with him.
" Were you arrested, did they take your car? This is all my fault if i hadn't bugged you to come to that stupid dan..." he cut me off
" Soph, its fine."
" What happened with the police?" He let out a sighful laugh
" They.. theres no drugs in my car."
I was alittle happy about that,
" Harry, he's not a bad guy, I don don't know why he would do something like that." Jai looked like he knew or could tell me.
" I do." He looked at me and I paused and looked at him confused. He continued.
"Remember when I told you I would wait for you." he walked closer to me and i just looked at him.
" Of course."
" I shouldn't have said that." He bent down and got eye level with me so close to my face and so close to my lips.
" I should've just kissed you." i had no words, I was breathless. He went on again.
" But, rules are rules. Goodnight Sophia Butera." He slightly smiled and walked away leaving me blank just standing there. I sighed not knowing what to do.
