The Flight That Changed My Life

Niall POV:
Another long day at the studio with the boys, luckily our little discretely planned trip to the States hasn't notified anyone that we're here so we can head "home" with the minimal number of disguises and guards.

Whew! It is way too humid here in Chicago! Good thing we booked a hotel suite that's only a block away from the studio, I'm melting! As I'm daydreaming about the large sugary ice cream sundae I plan on creating once I get home, I'm rudely awoken from it by the annoying finger that keeps poking me in the back. I spin around to discover that the person who'd been poking me was of course none other than Louis, who was currently looking so enthusiastic and mischievous that I wanted to smack that smug look off of his face.

"Hmm, touchy touchy now aren't we mate? Why so serious?," Louis says with a grin while poking me in the stomach. The others just laugh at our contradicting expressions and Louis' Joker reference.

"I'm exhausted and starving! I just want to climb in bed with a large bowl of ice cream," I reply, while smacking away his re-approaching finger, "And quit poking me!"

"Alright, hush up you two, do you want all of Chicago to discover our whereabouts the night before we get to leave for vacation in London? No! And I especially don't want Uncle Si on our case about it when he specifically told us that during our three weeks here with the songwriter, we are NOT to get discovered!," Liam scolds in in a whisper.

"Alright, alright, keep your hair on," Louis replies in a slightly deflated manner. "Just trying to lighten the mood. We are finally going home after all this time, you'd think more of you people would be happy about it." I am happy about it, I guess until I get some food and sleep I won't really be able to enjoy that though. The rest of the walk back was done in silence.

When we finally reached our rooms I jumped face-first onto my bed, enjoying that little moment before our manager Paul, as usual, comes in to remind me of our early flight tomorrow. I groan and gather up my luggage, leaving out clothes for tomorrow and slipping on a t-shirt and boxers to sleep in, before heading into the kitchenette to make that sundae. After that I plop back down on my bed, flip on the TV and watch Jimmy Fallon on Saturday Night Live until I drift off into much needed sleep.

Jenni POV:
I am currently kneeling on top of my overstuffed suitcase while trying to zip it shut. I was so excited! I threw most of my closet in here because I knew I wouldn't have enough money to just buy whatever I needed, had I forgotten anything once we got there.

I've been saving up for our orchestra's class trip to Europe since Freshman year, through being a licensed soccer referee, earning money in my student account for orchestra through all of our fundraisers, etc. I couldn't throw that away on clothes, specially when my parents had finally agreed to make up the difference. It'll cost them twice as much though because Max is in orchestra with me and wants to go too. Such are the draw backs of having twins.

Anyway, once I finally got it to close, I allowed myself some time to breathe before preparing my carry on. In it I put my wallet, laptop, sketchbook, chargers, make up, allergy medicine (after taking some), shampoo/conditioner, shaving cream/razor and the book I'm currently rereading: 'The City Of Bones.' My phone, toothbrush and retainer, along with the outfit I left out for myself will have to be packed in the morning, seeing as I have to use them before we leave.

Once all of that was done I zoom through my nightly routine and hop into bed. I'm exhausted, but I can't sleep a wink so I decided to group chat my best friends Caitlin and Rebecca. I can't believe I went this long without telling them! I put my phone on silent (seeing as how I'm technically supposed to be asleep) and set up the message.

Me: Hey guys! u'll never believe where my parents r taking us for vaca!!

Caitlin xoxo: where?

Becca <3 : wisconsin dells?

Me: nope!! IM GOING TO LONDON!!!

Becca <3 : NO WAY!

Caitlin xoxo: thats awesome! uve always wanted to go there!

Becca <3 : make sure u take pics of EVERYTHING

Me: dont worry i will. maybe even zayn if i get the chance ;D

Becca <3 : omg u better!

Caitlin xoxo: hey dont 4get about me! i want a pic of liam <3

Me: alrite hahaha u got it. that is, if i do meet them. who knows? london's a big city

Caitlin xoxo: ya but i heard theyll be on vaca too after working on their new album :)

Becca <3 : omg shes rite! u could totally have a chance!

Me: ya i guess. i just hope i dont come across as a deranged pyscho fan vying for their attention. u guys know that i purposefully didnt look up all of their info so that if i ever did meet them then wed have something to talk about.

Caitlin xoxo: ya i guess it would be a little creepy and awkward if someone knew everything about u and u knew nothing about them....

Me: lol my point exactly. night guys! i wanna get as much sleep as possible for tom.!

Becca <3 : well then wat r u up texting us for? nite!

Caitlin xoxo: haha ya but make sure u text us when u get there!

Me: kk will do :) sleep tight

Then I shut off my phone dreaming about london and everything that i love about it: Harry Potter, The Infernal Devices book series, One Direction, etc. I was lucky I got much sleep at all! I didn't actually fall asleep until one in the morning, but I'll probably get some shut-eye on the plane anyways... Zzzzz
