The Flight That Changed My Life

Jenni POV:
Finally!!! School is out and summer begins! Today I slept in till eleven and woke up feeling so much more rested then ever since last summer.

I lay in bed for another ten minutes, knowing that time will fly by until I'm a Junior in the fall. But for now, I'm gonna take a long, hot shower knowing Max and Jack won't be up until 1 in the afternoon and that Mom and Dad were off at work.

I sigh, gather up my resolve before I sprint from under my covers to the bathroom across the hall in my tank top and sleep shorts. I don't know why but my room is always FREEZING when its hot outside!

After taking out my messy bun and stripping down, I hop in the shower and belt out all of the songs from One Direction's debut album: Up All Night. I turn off the water and dry myself off as I finish up the words to 'Stole My Heart.'

I've been in love with One Direction since the X-Factor last year and saw them put together singing 'Torn' by Natalie Imbruglia. They're all cute in their own way and through their song choices throughout the competition and their video diaries, I find that I have similar tastes in music, comedy and life in general. Oh boy, I better stop myself here before I start rambling :P

My twin Max gets quite annoyed when I do this, which is apparently a lot. But I can't help it! They're the reason I've found hope in pursuing my own dreams of making music. Anyway, back to the present. I go back to my room and change into my high-waist dark jean short-shorts, white tank top and my favorite red, white and blue plaid shirt.

Then I slip on my dark brown gladiator sandals and skip down the stairs to find a very grumpy Max nearly falling asleep in his cereal bowl. "Thanks for the lovely wake-up call, idiot," he says with an exhausted frown on his face.

"Good morning to you to sunshine!," I chirp back sarcastically as I go to the cabinet to fix my own breakfast.

After fixing myself a bowl of Lucky Charms, I go back upstairs and brush my teeth before going on my laptop and surfing the internet for photos of One Direction for my sketch book. After finding a gorgeous picture of Harry, I lay on my stomach on my bed and sketch contentedly as I wait for my parents to come home from work. My mom left a note on the fridge saying they had a big surprise for us that they'd reveal at dinner and I'm praying for a vacation that's farther than a couple states away. Sorry Wisconsin Dells but I've been visiting you far too much!

SO.... this is my first ever fan fiction, let me know what you think :) I'm pretty busy but I've got an extended weekend so I'm planning on getting more chapters in. And I'll try not to make the chapters too short!
